@ i see what you are saying but its not like this is uniquely broken in the context of modern cards. engraver is a prime example that is harder to hand trap and fits within a stronger archetype (while arise heart is banned). the kashriras dont have quick effects and are not seeing play in top cut unless they are supplemental to the more broken engines
@@brockfg it’s not uniquely broken but these are all cards we are expecting to get hit at some point. Like if it wasn’t for fiendsmith reprints I’m pretty sure they would have done something to them like ocg.
@Robbie-o3e and yet they instantly were cast aside in the only Meta relevant deck (fiendsmithkash) in favor of ryzeal cards that are a straight up better combo with fiendmsith. Ryzeal ext alone shuts down kashtira.
@@Robbie-o3e Fenrir search it's self is fine it's only good to do that in pure kash or going 2nd which both need help. Unicorn is the one which is more broken as banish 1 of extra deck cards can just suck. Also it's better going 1st.
Huh. That does kinda make sense, as it sounds like Konami’s MO. Make qcr Fenrir and Unicorn, only to ban/limit them on the next list or so? Makes sense.

With Pankratops back to 3 and them not addressing Kash in the Dec list. I think Kash is safe to stay in the TCG imo. A hit to Fenrir or Unicorn kills the pure variant.
I already have a playset of Fenrirs from the 2023 tins, so a qcr is whatever. Bystial reprints wouldn’t be terrible as qcr (looking at you Druiswurm). Only got one Druiswurm. Fiendsmith reprints wouldn’t hurt, but seeing as I’m not playing that archetype, I won’t be hurt if they leave them be. Zoodiac reprints would be amazing! Never got the chance to play that archetype in its heyday so having some reprints would be awesome! Considering summon sorc. got changed, I’d love to have a copy with updated text.
Imagine thinking every problem could be solved by just banning the card. Such delusional thinking. They don't need a ban. When they are the only thing keeping Mimighoul semi competitive.
Bystials and kashtiras have reprints and are relatively new cards… we don’t need more prints of those cards. There are many other cards that could use a reprint. I agree with the boss monsters… Konami always printing boss monsters with the lowest rarity and it’s disgusting
I never played kashtira. I've been a branded 60 card enjoyer for years( no puppet lock btw). I have played against kashtira many times, it was an interesting matchup. Not gonna lie, i had many times unicorn and birth banish my 1 ofs. but At the end of the day i enjoyed the matchup i had a better side deck and different lines when countering it. I never had the vitriolic hatred that most had with banishing my cards face down and never thought that "this is bullshit" and that kashtira deserved more hits. People are just way to comfortable deluding themselves that the extra deck/hand/main deck should be an untouched territory. Now that i finally decided to buy all the kashtira cards and play with it, both pure and with other decks (gate guardian kashtira + dark magician kashtira for example) i can clearly see that yes, the deck CAN be annoying if you need the 1 ofs specifically in your extra deck. However it loses easily to any deck thats mains thrust, talents and evenly matched. Unicorn, birth and preparations deprive the opponent of essential cards but none offer a negate. A raigeki or any spell that deals with backrow outs the board. Shangri-Ira at the most will lock 5 zones if you're lucky and have the perfect hand. Most of the time though, you'll lock 2 and maybe 3 zones at best if you're lucky, since we are talking about competitive yugioh. fenrir has effectively become pankratops when people main or side him, which is fine, it helps going second, which i thought everyone liked. After extensive testing, Arise-heart at some point has to come back at 1 and stay at 1. kashtira doesn't have an end goal in its' strategy other than swarm the field with kashtiras and "try" to lock zones/banish specific cards if it's lucky.
i know everyone wants their super shiny blinged out deck, but I think Konami should do the reverse, and print some ULTRA pennystonk cards, being all commons, extra thin like OG ultimate rare cards, or thinner to save a lil bit more money. and sell them inside of a tin or cardboard box, whichever cheaper. $20 tin, 40 common meta cards and non meta cards out of idk 400cards per tin. all random and in 1 giant cheap clear plastic wrap I would love to see somebody pull up to a tourny full common card deck
