Very well put together video Gravity. I’m glad that you showed off plenty of silk road’s obvious good qualities instead of just bashing it into the ground. In my opinion it’s the greatest vehicle heavy map in bf4 by a long shot. The criticisms you did provide I think are valid even if from my personal experience with this map I’ve never had trouble with some of the problems such as the height advantages and getting ganged up on by 4 pieces of armor as a single infantry. The map concepts you displayed at the end, especially the one that converts the map into nothing but dunes, look interesting and I’d love to be able to test them out. I don’t personally agree with bestowing Silk Road the title of “one of the worst maps in battlefield” but nevertheless I always appreciate the content you put out gravity and I hope you continue to do so into the future
I probably would've suggested the plateau run from China deploy to US deploy along the western border. Any team wanting to use the height advantage would have to deal with the other team rolling armor directly out of spawn, thus distracting them from all the tasty little targets down below. Also, the eastern tilt as the map goes further south would keep flags like A and E pretty well out of range of said plateau. Of course, I'd also remove it from the northern border.
Actually, while the idea here is totally original, there is definitely some inspiration from "Mine". As someone who watched mine back when they were originally released, I had great respect for them and Battlefield Machinima, and as there is a lack of it nowadays, this was created with that type of video and humor in mind.
What’s the song that plays during your Worst map intros (The woowoop one)? Also, I appreciate that you’re doing map analysis videos with depth that leaves room for further discussion. It’s such an uncommon video topic which you’d expect to see more of, but alas you get videos that just cover the surface level or a little argument with little weight (there’s exceptions alright but they are far and few). I just love Video game design topics since it drives some sort of passion in me.
As bad as most of these maps are for Conquest, I'm actually curious to see how Breakthrough would play out on the entire China Rising DLC, as well as Armored Kill
@@xlinkkaisaintsrow2365 Altai is bad on all stages of rush. Dragon pass is shit too. Silk is just farm for jet players. Guilin is probably the best one of out these.
@@sacresful1337 I think dragon pass is a guilty pleasure on rush since its now the only map In bf4 to have an aa tank vs a scout helo. I miss how rush is earlier games had vehicles other than the occasional tank.
@@xlinkkaisaintsrow2365 >aa tank vs a scout helo which is completely dumb because it doesnt stand a chance. IT would if there was cover, but there is not.

This made me realise how much I miss BF4. Oh how I loved playing this game!
Top tier intro from a top tier BF creator.
Been wondering when Silk Road was going to feel the wrath of yours.
It was inevitable.
Whenever this map wins a map vote I die a little inside
I always know to stop playing bf4 for the day when this map comes on

Still better than hourglass
Silk Road would be the best 2042 map with no changes
Absolute cap. Hourglass is better than the entire China Rising DLC combined
I disagree . Ill take Hourglass 1 and 2.0 anytime before shit road
LMFAO....the 1st clark recommends got me
Guilin Peaks was the only map in China Rising that I liked
Guilin was definitely the only good map in that entire DLC.
Yes, this map was not one of the best conquest maps however, team deathmatch at the D flag was one of my favorites.
The idea for the intro TOTALLY did not come the the BF2´s MINE video series, it´s just a coincidence.

OH YES THIS IS THE VIDEO IVE BEEN WAITING FOR LETS GO
Dig the MW4 tracks in the background
As an infantry player, c4 bikes are my go too on this map.
On top of that, imagine having fast vehicle spawn on Silk road, big yikes
Great video Gravity
This map is perfect if you like harassing choppers with the SUAV.
0:40 apply directly to the forehead aaaaaaah
The negative jet rammer reviews are obviously fake

I think the song you are talking about is The Battlefield 1942 Redux Mod Theme from battlefield Vietnam. :)
Great video
Silk Road, the original Hourglass
Interesting, I've enjoyed the vehicle gameplay on the map. I don't remember lock-ons being that big of a problem.
You really out did yourself with that intro
oh boy, ive been waiting for this. time to grab a snack
Gravity have doing a video on the worst map from 2142 or Battlefield 2?
LMAO about the rammers.
Finally the best bf series is back 🇵🇸
Typical map for 2042. That’s surprise!
It's still better than bf2042
I ll take this any day of the week over any in 2042

Well rush is absolutely terrible on silk road. It's decent on the other maps though. Altar range is hard on the first bade though.
