The most realistic approach to the DBZ Super Saiyan aura effect inspired by the beach scene with Trunks attempting to power up in Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope. These effects are done using After Effects as well as the following plugins, and assets: Heat Distortion, Camera Shake, Action Essentials, and Krakatoa particles. THANKS GEORGIO!!! As far as cameras, what is estimated budget range? A DSLR is a good choice if you're looking to spend about $1k++. Also you'll want to get some good lenses. Let us know & we can recommend some stuff :)

okay we'll look around and letcha know. We recently got one of the "best" Logitech webcams and it kinda sucks. So we def wouldnt recommend that. But i think DJI has a good little camera around that price

Is there a way to apply this effect to a live stream? I've been trying to find a way to do something like this as an effect for twitch. So say I get an especially good kill streak in cod I hit a button on my stream deck and I start to "power up"
I guess can I make this and then extract it as alpha and us it as an overlay?

I love this tutorial but I have noticed that Gohan is so static in this scene so I think it would be nice the add some "wind effect" on him when Trunks releases his powers.

we could ask our music team - but the process would involve knowing how to make music.. like play a guitar, keyboard etc. So maybe start with some tutorials on how to play music?

Tbh trunks powering up looks good, and I meant the vfx. The kid needs some work on acting because his hands just looks so weird when powering up at all.
