Gotta Love the relic'd fingers. Not a first but it's been awhile since I've run into that. Nice delicate touch on that demo. Enjoyed listening and watching.
Wow what a great review. First you knock it out of the park with the intro! Man I got to start practicing more ! Nice run through on the specs and then just about the best tone examples I've ever seen anywhere. And man those are some sweet tones coming from that guitar. really not even strat sounding...it has it's own thing going on and I really can't say there's a single bad tone found anywhere. Even the bridge Humbucker had plenty of bottom end. A nice tele sound in the middle and the neck was not too dark like they often are. Just great pick ups overall. Very nice guitar.
So I ended up passing on the Custom Shop Fender GT11. Between that and this Friedman what are your thoughts? I’m actually looking at getting this exact same guitar(I think we have the same tastes in guitars lol), but with a classic plus humbucker on the bridge. I like the look of that pickup cover with the guitar.
Well, they're two different guitars. I'd say they're equal in quality. Both a win! The Friedman is more of an all-round versatile guitar. The CS Strat is just that... a high end Strat that does the strat thing, with the nice modern tweaks. Fretwork is better on the Fender. I like the access to the upper frets and neck carve on the Friedman a little more comfortable. Not by much though. I find more uses for the CS in my studio, though. I have other guitars that do what the Friedman does.
Tony Larremore Music thank you for your honest opinion, man. I’m in the market for an HSS configuration and this Friedman stood out to me. What other HSS guitars do you like?
@@Bentonmaru I also like the Kiesel Delos with 24 frets. The Music Man Cutless HSS. But, the tone of the friedman Vintage S is hard to beat. It just depends what you want.
Tony Larremore Music I fell in love with the Friedman vintage look with modern features. I think this Friedman will be the one I want for hard rock to blues versatility.
Hey there, I think you let go the Cali, are you still keeping the Vintage S? What is the neck profile like, Fender Modern C? Or the deep C on current Professionals? Keep rockin' :)
Emre Emre it’s a vintage C neck profile. Doesn’t quite feel like any of the fender necks you mentioned. From what I gather, they’re hand made. Some are soft v’s. They feel great to me! It’s a long story, but I did sell this one. I put on reverb just to see what would happen.... was going to give it a couple days and pull it. Didn’t think it would sell for the higher price I was asking. Well, it sold in 30 minutes. So... I miss it! But, I have my Fender CS Strat... spec’d to my taste.... which helps with not having this one. Thanks
Okay good for you. Thanks for the info. I might travel internationally to pick one Vintage S, so prior knowledge of the neck profile is good. Any type of V neck is a deal breaker though, so I hope you are wrong!! I like flattish necks in general.

Shoman Blues Thanks! This one is nicely done.

megostryder Many Thanks! Yeah... between my GH3 and this Vintage S... most of my bases are covered! Totally loving this guitar and tone.
Sounds so bright though clean
Sounds just great. I should get one too.
