What's really cool about the Pedal Piano is that you can play Organ pieces on it from the Original Sheet Music such as Bach's Complete Organ Works from Barenreiter Verlag which I find they'd sound really cool on a Pedal Piano because of its smooth mellow sound.
That is pretty cool. I can play Toccata and Fugue in D minor on the piano, but since I don't have a pedal piano, I need to make these changes at points during the score to emulate it as closely as possible: Turn pedal notes outside of the fugue subject into octaves like for example turning the low D at the first chord of the toccata into a D octave including the lowest D on the piano -> Both Toccata and Fugue (and to be fair, even if I did have a pedal piano, I might still do this pedal notes turning into octaves thing to maximize the power out of the piano) Use sustain pedal (one of few exceptions to my general interpretation of doing Bach as cleanly as possible without sustain pedal) -> Both Toccata and Fugue, but mostly in the Toccata and in moments where I have a long note to be sustained in one bass line while the subject starts in another Raise one of the bass lines up an octave if it's super important and neither one of my hands can reach it as is -> Fugue only Omit one of the bass lines if I feel it isn't super important, especially if it occurs at the same time as the fugue subject -> Also Fugue only Otherwise, exchange the manual bass line between hands depending on which one can reach it -> Again Fugue only Hardest point in terms of physical closeness is Bars 71-72 where my hands literally interlock. Hardest point in terms of being rhythmically even is the first trill at bars 87 and 88 where I need to play the melody above the trill and with my small hands, that results in a 12 trill fingering instead of my faster and more typical 23 trill fingering, plus, having to do 2 things at once slows down my trill from what it would otherwise be and makes the trill itself uneven as I try to keep the melody even. Other than that, the fugue really isn't all that challenging to play once you've figured out the modifications you need to make, it's just a lot of notes at a moderate tempo.
Wonderful, sensitive performance! I and another pianist are working on the Debussy version for two pianos due to a lack of a pedal piano. But the original version as you play it is in a higher realm. Thank you!
Qué maravilla esta versión... La había escuchado en piano, pero con mucha menos sonoridad que aquí, esta versión tiene muchos más matices, como el órgano, el instrumento para el que fueron pensadas...
I needed a little nourishment for my soul, so I watched and listened to this again this morning. Thank you Dana.

What a treat to hear these lovely pieces played so beautifully on an instrument for which they were really intended. Bravo!
QUESTO è il tipo di strumento ideale da costruire in futuro
!!!! Grazie per le meravigliose esecuzioni
Absolutely divine! Thank you, Dana for such a beautiful offering. (A thank you to Schumann, as well, I suppose!)
Thank you Dana! Oh how I miss hearing you play!
Ah, how I love this music! What a superb performance. Bravo, Dana!
Hauntingly beautiful! It brings joy and tears..thanks a lot, Dana!
Splendid. Many thanks
Bravo. Exquisite instrument and performance!
Fascinating instrument, beautifully played. Your article on pedal pianos in Vox Humana is indispensable. More, please! ❤
Wonderful to hear these pieces for the first time in such a beautiful performance!
Exquisite playing, Dana!
I have always loved these, especially the last two. Beautifully played!

Thank you! Very wonderful and uplifting . Beautifully performed.
VERY nice piano - well regulated, voiced, etc. I suppose it's a rebuild of an older instrument. More information please.
Mostly original from 1883--refinished but not rebuilt.. Click "show more" in the caption to the video.
Beautiful mastery of this art!
Wonderful! Thank you
