Wow, it’s awesome that you still have it! So many move on from their sportsters after a couple of years. I recently purchased a 2020 iron 883 as my first bike and love it. I’m a brand new rider at 52 so I probably won’t be “upgrading “ from my iron, ever. I will definitely be making modifications to mine though as time goes by. Beautiful, beautiful, bike! Great job!

I like the tank lift, but I have the bigger 3.3 gallon tank so not sure it will look as good. I belong to a Sportster forum and it’s a really divisive mod. People seem to either love it or hate it

I got the progressive 11.5 rear shocks what I noticed is that if I over lean the bike to the exhaust side I sort of scrape them did you have that issue with the Vance & Hines short shots?

I'm from Cyprus and they can't be shipped from the States for some reason... must a European law thing or something.... I think I'll go with Vance &Hines mini grenades those can be shipped and they look a bit higher than the short shots... anw thanks for the reply really appreciate it and I'll do a walkaround video response as soon as my babe is done only a few pieces left :D
Definitive proof, as if it's needed, the HD 883 is all you need. Jeez what's the seat height...22inches? Ha ha ha. Slammed like a 10 cake stack from IHOP. So much modding potential to be made into something so cool nothing from Japan (except chicks) could ever touch it. It doesn't matter if it won't go 150mph or do block long wheelies.

I did move on from my Sporster, have a 2018 Street Glide Special as well now, just couldn’t part with this bike too.
To each his own. I liked it better with the Vance and Hines and the belt drive.
That time it really looked like a bull.. now it looks like an undernourished goat.

There are no heat shields, the heat wrap replaces those.
How do you get the gap between the tank and the engine? Tank raise or part relocate?

Yes, my Short Shots got scrapped up, with the sweepers that problem went away.
Cool obviously I'll need to follow on yoyr footsteps cause tge stock exhaust just won't do... Btw do the sweepers fit on a 2020 model?
