After nearly 50 000 miles together I do believe my Harley Davidson SPORTSTER deserves the spotlight. SPARROW IS MY FIRST BIKE. And up to the last weekend when I've bought a donor bike to build, the only one.

Haha I was actually tempted to go around the world on it. Just being a mother comes first! I say everything is possible if you believe it is.
Actually, she does not claim to have circled anything nearly twice only that she has 45,000 miles on the bike.
My last three motorcycles had a combined total of almost 160,000 miles on 'em when I sold 'em/traded 'em in. I know I'm a dude, so it's not as impressive! 😉
sims you need to get out more Europe is not that big you can cross countries in Europe faster than crossing states in America
My 05 XL1200 Custom ran well over 100,000 miles without ever leaving me stranded. Sportsters are awesome.
Bless you for showing the different foot positions. I am 6'6" (2 meters) tall have ridden a full-blown HD Bagger for years... as it is what fits me. I've done the same on my rides forever.
For me the Sportster is the best modern Harley made.

I loved you talking about standing up on the pegs to give your backside a break - and putting your feet on the rears and riding from the rear seat for a stretch! I've done the same thing on my HD touring bikes for years - I can get away with that on the big bikes - I'm 6'5" tall (nearly 2 meters).

i been ridin for 53 years an im a lady--started with sporty to superglide to low rider to softail custom to heritage ( 2002 shes now 20 years old) ive wracked up over 300,000 miles --you go girl and BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!! wish you the best! im 70 now an dont plan on quitting yet!

Thanks for sharing, sparrow is looking good, as a recommendation I would have a mural of a sparrow with diamond , on front and back fenders raised as badges in silver
My first motorcycle was a Harley Davidson and I'm a fan of the 883 Sportster. I'm into bikes between 250 and 1000ccs. I also like Indian, Ducati, Janus and Yamaha.
That exhaust sound is really cool! 🧨
Nice one. I suggest two more mods:
1) rear shock too long. find one at 11.5 inch will be cooler.
2) the rear tyre, if you want go fatter, you can find a 2017 Dyna fatbob rear rim. turn around, fit the tyre (shinko 777 170/70/16). it's straight-in.
Did she mention the height of the shocks she now has on the bike?

Love the sound of your bike. Chatted to a Harley owner three weeks ago at Middleton Top, Derbyshire, UK, and his was deep copper coloured paintwork with loads of chrome. 👍

Not a Harley guy but that’s a cool bike, nice mods and an epic sound 😎 it’s great when you have a bike you’ve gelled with and covered so many miles ( noticed you’ve ridden over my patch in the Peak District ) Another great upload 👍🏻 Ps. Chopping the fender might mean a wet back on the horrible rainy British days but interested to see what you do next with Sparrow, ride safe!
I've owned several sportsters and I think they are great bikes, love the 2 into 1 exhaust on yours

Thank you for this. I just bought an 883 from Maidstone HD in Kent. It's an anniversary model so I won't be adding too much to it but some of your modifications are excellent and will be considering them. Your 45k mile experience is so wowzer. Thank you for all the tips. Will watch for more.

Sporty's are great bikes. Lots of around-town fun. I only kept mine for about 2 months and then got a Low Rider S. But sometimes I still miss my Sporty. Nice bike!

Beautiful bike! I don't know if they fit those wheels but the grippiest all weather tyre in the world and winner of 'Best cross country tyre' many years in a row in Germany is the Continental Road Attack 3. Even on the wettest day it displaces water faster than any tyre on Earth and grips like the "proverbial" to a blanket. Most confidence inspiring tyre I have ever ridden on. Put them on my Ducati Hypermotard and just loved them. Also lasts very well.
Certainly one of the better looking Sportsters I’ve seen. Great mods.

Not sure if spoked wheels is really my thing? I do admire it in others bikes, but not on mine yet. Maybe one day it will be a chop and then who knows.

Love the work you done on your Sportster. Great bike, I would love to get one someday and put an SS or A Hammer Performance kit on one someday. I use to own a Buell XB9SX and had 37,000 miles on it, miss that bike.

Touring round Europe would be fun. You must have one of the loudest bikes in the UK. Ps i do like the sissy bar on. Maybe just shorten it and yes shorter rear guard too.
