I believe the cause is from the lack of purpose in young people. Back in the 70s and 80s young adult’s had a sense of belonging and purpose. Nowadays young adults have a really hard time finding the same sense of belonging.

There are different types of mental illness. He was probably born without the part of the brain that deals with empathy, sympathy and compassion for others. He would continue to kill had he not been caught, people like this are a danger to society.

Lived in Rome ga as a kid/teen. It’s a shit hole. I moved away when I graduated and hope to never have to go back for any reason. My parents were buried there. I couldn’t even go back for their funerals. It’s just awful.
I met a guy from Rome Georgia around 20 something years ago. He seemed to be nice but turned out to be a horrible racist. as I am African American. Found out later his brother had been to prison for pedophilia and his parents were just narrow-minded. Ever since then, every time I hear of anyone from Rome, I think of that fool.
I wish they would’ve printed a 8x10 or a large picture in a frame to set on the corner of the bench where everyone could see this young men’s face, including the person who murdered him😢

Aaron sounds like the perfect, well adjusted, kind son that was going to be a wonderful father, and husband one day. It is just so sad the way his life ended, with his best friend that he totally trusted and would have stayed friends with for the rest of his life. Why do these good people have to die so young ? Why does such a good son have to leave all of his siblings and his parents, they will be heartbroken forever, and for what ? I understand that his friend had mental health issues and that he tried to be a good person but there was an underlying something that drove him to commit this horrendous murder of his trusted friend.
