I love these guys together. Such so easy natural acting even with difficult scenes. I don't know how they did it but the program is so real. Look at us how we still talk about the scenes as being part of real life. We get upset and stress out over what going on the screen or being talk about.
One of the best and accidental reasons I got so hooked on Heartland was Ty and Amy’s relationship. They’ve been through so much and managed to stay together, resolve issues, foster a connection and maintain a deep love. It’s surreal watching season 14 without that dynamic.
When he died. I quit watching. Since Graham wanted to leave the show; they could've replaced the actor with another actor to keep the Amy &Ty love saga going. I think Canadian actor Wes Brown would've done a good job. He looks similar to Graham. I mean they replaced the character of Katie with different actresses and no one seemed to mind..

It just disappoints me so much to revisit scenes that are shown in here, then see what they have turned this once enjoyable Sunday evening Family Show into! They should be ashamed of themselves turning any show into a soap opera! No storyline, actors all leaving for greener pastures, new ones brought in have no idea of a ranching or acting the part of there character. In particular Spencer Lord who is supposed to be a rancher and has no idea how to ride a horse, the rancher lingo so has to read his lines from Q-cards! And writers ya really made a big mistake having his character at 7 years older than Amy! What a joke! Anyway Happy New Year from foothills of Alberta 🇨🇦🤠🐎!!
You would think that the experience of Ty supporting Amy after being blinded by a horses kick and his controversial decision to simply take her home to help her heal , would almost guarantee that they would stay together no matter what happened. Sadly, that is not true.. Amy quickly forgot all about it when she got an opportunity to advance her career and betrayed Ty with Ahmed. Ty said that "he would rather lose Amy than stand in her way from a life that she wanted". Amy basically said at least twice that "she would rather lose Ty rather than apologize for the mistakes that she made". That tells you everything you need to know about these two characters.
I'm in Total agreement with your comment.. I thought I was the only one who felt this way about Amy.. Amy cheated on Ty 3 times.. Twice with chase... And then the prince.. I was sooo upset with Amy.. She don't like when ty tell her her faults in the relationship.. She blames him for her mistakes.. Lou the same way with Peter.. SMH!!! At these two sisters....

I understand that this show is about Strong Independent Women and how successful they can be. Unfortunately, that is often shown at the expense of the men in their lives. Still, I dont see how a person like Amy with such negative character flaws such as being selfish, dishonest, unfaithful, self-rightous, unforgiving, and self centered would be an image that other young women would want to emmulate. That is true no matter how much we all like Amy in this series. Everyone knows that people make mistakes. However, for some reaon after season 1 the producers stubbornly refused to hold Amy accountable within the script for her mistakes. They simply would not let her apologize for the damage she caused to others. This happened time after time until her image was permanently stained and she became this very negative and unsympathetic character. I just dont understand why they did that to her. In season 14 it was my hope that the producers would take this one last opportunity to let Amy apologize to Ty and tell him that she now understands how much she hurt him. That would have been such a redeeming action to her image. Unfortunately, that never happened. Instead, they had Amy commit one last injustice against Ty by not allowing him to be buried in the family cemetery where Lyndsay could go to remember her father. That was so disrepectful. Now we will all wait to see what the "new direction" or series "reboot" will turn into for this series. One thing is for sure, with out Ty Amy will not be the star that she was.

@@sweethomemike Sorry Mike. I thought that second proposal came after Ty humbled himself and took Amy back at Pike River. I thought it was a terrible way to reward Amy for her betrayl with Ahmed. Later I saw that it was actually something that had occurred earlier when bth Ty and Amy had lost her engagement ring. Once they found it in the laundry basket, Ty reinacted his proposal to Amy. Of course, she asked him to do it. Given that the propoal was nothing special, I was a little surprised that Amy didnt say "not yet" again. She did hesitate to make it look like she was thinking it over. Maybe that was more true than we realize.
@@outsideview9052 I personally would not have considered the Pike River reconciliation another proposal. I was surprised that Amy labeled it that way in 12x2 when they were trying to get Will’s wildies to accept the mare and foal they rescued. While I am certainly glad they got back together it was disappointing the writers felt that Amy actually apologizing for her deception wasn’t an important storyline. While she did admit fault for not being honest in the next episode there never was a heartfelt apology!! There are a lot of things I bet Amy & Ty would have done differently after episode 14x1 if they had a crystal ball. But that’s life so love and live life like it’s your last, for tomorrow is not a guarantee to fix today’s regrets!!

As you noted, "after" Ty had already saved their fantacy relationship, Amy said to Ty "you know, all those problems we had about Ahmed, it was because I was not totally "upfront" with you. From now on, lets "both" commit again to always "tell each other" everything no matter what. I was dumbfounded. Talk about a self-righteous, insincere, and totally inadequate admission of what she had done toTy. This actually added insult to injury more than it did serve as an apology. You say that Amy actually used the word "honest" but I dont believe she did. I believe in both cases she said something less than that. That shows that she is so dishonest that she couldnt even use the word "honest" or "dishonesty" to describe her very deliberate decision not to tell Ty what had happened. Does that sound like an apology and like someone who is asking for forgiveness? Hell no!! In addition, she never admits to understanding and/or being sorry for the emotional destruction that her unfaithful actions caused Ty to endure. That and how she repeatedly demonstrated that she was willing to throw him and everything they had together away simply because she couldnt bring herself to admit her mistakes , is what destroys her image for me. That is true even if she really didnt believe that she was totally at faul. It absolutley reveals that she cares only about herself (self-righteous) and is almost narcissitic in her lack of concern for other people. Maybe someday I will be able to "pretend" that Amy is what the producers make her out to be so that I could start watching the show again but I doubt it. U don't take the characters the right way. Amy didn't do any cheating with anyone. If u do want to know what is cheating watch the American movies.
