Beautiful!! I love what God does for us!
Very good video, thanks.
If you don't have her misting system and just want to root a few hardy hibiscus, here is a good method.
Instead of taking a cutting after the plant is big and setting it back some, just push off one of the shoots in early spring. Let it get 8 or 10 inches tall and push from the side to break it off from the mother plant without damaging it. Each plant produces several shoots and this won't affect the final size of the mother plant. Sometimes this new shoot will already have a few small roots on it. Just plant it like a normal rooted cutting and keep moist. The success rate is much better.
Getting that node on the bottom of the plant works on many other varieties, like crepe myrtles. They usually put a lot of suckers on the bottom of a large plant. Just pull them off and get that bottom node and root like you normally do and the success rate greatly improves.
Thanks for the info! I will try this tomorrow
love your energy!
THANK YOU! Hope you join our gardening family!
Thanks for such an informative video describing your methods and products used and why! Excellent!

This was a wonderful and informative video. I learned so much. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for making this great video! I will try this method this spring.
if you dont succeed in your frist time, keep trying and learn from your experience what you did wrong, Maybe you wont have any problems. We call that beginners luck LOL,,,, but you get to feel like you are bringing something productive when you grow plants.
Gardening also helps me deal with the concerning news around the world.
Gardening can be like zen meditation
Very good! Thanks 👏👏👏
glad you enjoyed it,, keep watching and growing
I love the outcome of the dinner plate hibiscus. That's the only hibiscus I have trouble with rooting from cuttings.

I recently received some Hibiscus mutabilis seeds. Can't wait to get them started!
great,, i wish we could send photos back and forth
a heating mat worked for me with regards to the seeds....I used a shallow tray w/dirt and I placed the seeds on top and put the tray in a gallon size zip bag and partly closed it I didn't bury bury the seeds just pressed on top of soil, and kept them moist. try it i like the surprise of what you might get.
Sounds great!
🙏🏽 thank you for the video 🙏🏽

Hello Kababayan!🇵🇭😘I love your hibiscus 🌺
thank you,, you should see them now,, incredible blooms
👍👍
I love gardening and I'm new to propagation. Your greenhouse was very interesting to me. Where can I get this system from?
the greenhouse or the fogponic machine?
Love it. Can all hibiscus be rooted like this?? I love the excitement when there is success. New subscriber. I've never seen your gadget. I went one now. ☺️ Gardening is so therapeutic for me. I'm trying with just veggies for now but want to start plants again. It brings joy
I've had luck with both the perennial and the hardwood annuals, just using old glass or plastic bottles, but I want to move to hydroponics. She has a great list of products under the video description. I have seeds from hibiscus plants I've cross pollinated and hope there's a good video out in UA-cam land on hibiscus seed starting as iwanna see what this Frankenstein ie Me has created. On a side note, just make sure when taking cuttings you follow her technique as it's the same that use but without the rooting hormones as I don't have good luck using them. Hope that helps. Eddie J. Long Island N.Y
@@eddiej.2354 ty. I will try all techniques. I love this plant it brings me home to Guam and if I can have it no matter where I am it will make me happy to see. ☺️
hi great video did you buy or did you make your Hydroponic system
I made it
Thank you, you should sell un the states
we do! :)
Can one cut starters from rose of Sharon from a plant already growing where there's shoots growing up around the tree
not a good choice ,, you want cuttings about the thickness of a pencil, smaller cuttings dry out too fast
Hi there, I recently get into growing the sub zero hibiscus and I love it. In your video you mention about pugponics? What is that and can you give me the links on how to get that? Thanks. My name is Raquel and I’m from the Philippines and when I saw you on video you sure look like Filipino and I love your accent. I hope I didn’t offend you. I am curious what set up you use for propagating your hibiscus. I hope to hear from you. Have a great day and take care❤️
Where do you live now?
Love this, but I need to ask you a question, your leaves are so healthy how do you get rid of those little worms from eating the leaves
AZA-TEK Plus keeps over 200 species of insects and fungus in check :)
Hi marveling where you get the fogi
look in the description under the video, the link is provided for you there
Thank you! Your tutorial was very informative and good. I wondeted why othets cut off so many healthy leaves. It never struck me that they were sucking up energy! I've never seen a hibiscus flower the size of my head but the tootie fruitie one that I have has 3 different colored flowers because they braided 3 plants together to make 1 tree. Do you know how they do that? Anyway, again, thsnks for a great tutorial!!! God bless.🌺🌱❤💚
thanks,, there is another issue with the leaves as well,, people think, oh the leaves are need for photosynthesis, but we are talking about a cutting, not a big plant, and the most important part is that leaves respirate and lose water in the process which dries the cutting out faster. One leaf is all that is needed for the cutting. We want ALL the energy and hormones to create new roots, thats it! :)
@@marcelinanoss8825 thank you! I really appreciate it!
How do you make your hydroponic system or where did you get it? Thanks

Is it better to cut the main branch or the young branches ?

Ok, thank you
3:53 Now, once you cut the plant will it start producing flowers again?
yes it will depending on the time of the year
I have some seeds from the red dinner plate hardy hibiscus, when is a good time to seed them .I live in Ontario Canada.please reply.
you can plant them anytime during spring or summer. You want to give them a good chance to develop the roots before winter,, avoid planting in the fall
Where did you buy that apparatus
we build them ourselves,, if you want one,, ill send you a link
Marcelina, this is Pratima from India. Can you please tell me if we can grow Tropical Hibiscus(hybrid grafts) by cuttings by using rooting hormone Clonex??Plz reply,waiting.Thnx.

dinner plate hibiscus or giant hibiscus…..is it available here in the Philippines
Yes, it is
I wish I would have watched your video before I used Neem oil spray. It ruined 2 hibiscus, mums and trumpet plant! I will never use it for any plant again!
check out the AZATEK Plus at cashyourgreens.com
Rose of Sharon does not propagate in the water at all, it will for sure rot. I rooted my rose of Sharon cuttings successfully by just using regular garden soil with a bit of fine sand, and then I covered the cutting with a bottle that was cut in half to create a greenhouse effect.
I have rooted quite a few in water but they really did a lot better once I put them in soil. I would love to try one of these machines though.
they are awesome because the fogger keeps them moist but not soaking in water,, perfect solution to rooting
My rose of Sharon was trying to root but then started to rot. I stuck it in dirt with some myco plus. Any other advice?
Where is your region ?
zone 6 USA
Plate hibiscus seeds mam
i will post some this fall for you
Halo mam I am lndin love flowers mam seeds available in karnataka 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Plate hibiscus seeds mam
Not available, so sorry i dont sell seeds.......... yet! :)
Whats in that box? You didnt show correctly
please explain
Very complicated procedure using rooting liquid. Pls making the procedure simpler
you have to do what works, sometimes it not the simplest way.
Is your video only for men? You keep mentioning guys?
here in america, guys is a collective noun which refers to both genders :)
U are not clear as to what u are sticking them in.
ah ok gotcha,, i am sticking them in what is called a Fogponic Machine. It atomizes the water molecule and creates a fog inside the tub. Maintaining a 75 to 80 degree F temp and place it and forget about it, You will have roots in no time! Watch my other video on Fogponics :)
Music is nice but it detracts from your English!
thanks
