Love it! SO happy your team worked through these details, so much VR/UI design work has felt too much like guess work, "Ooh that looks alright, let's go with that" kind of thing
Hello, what's about accessibility for visual impaired or elder people? I miss the goog american traditon for civil rights for handicaped. I am legally blind and i want to use AR and VR too.
Excellent information.Made a prefab from this for my design students. Please also include a PDF export of the Sketch file so the photoshop crowd can play along. Cheers
VR 2D screens just sucks, worse idea ever giving "guidelines" of what not to do with VR experiences ... You want 2D screen ? Just buy a regular computer screen !
It's such a pity to see that this amazing concept was stopped at version v1.0.0.

This is the basis for all UI in VR. This should be common knowledge for VR developers, such a useful video, glad I found it!
The most helpful video on VR UI ever made.

For dmm, what is the specific workflow for scaling dmm? Do I manually scale all my UI components? Or I just scale the exported components?

the DMM concept is fantastic, does anyone have any ideas on the copyright licenses for the powerpoint content? would like to reference in a paper
It might be a stupid question,
But how do you convert dmm to actual px that I can work on sketch?
1dmm = 1px
@@batsiraimadzonga3877 For real? That is the measurement? And what exactly is DMM?
@@liizzset distance independent millimeter. It is defined as 1 dmm=1mm at one 1m away.
Btw Google Daydream died around 2019, around which point Chris got a job at Apple.
Reference sticker developers.google.com/vr/design/sticker-sheet
It is in .sketch format. Can you convert it into svg or pdf format for windows users?
create an invisionapp account, and upload the file to Invision, you will be able to open the file there
Try a cached page.
This should do:

1MOA ≈ 1in at 100yd, just shift the decimal. Very intuitive for the American shooters. I understand the international need for metric though.
Lol
Looks like Google is using IOS haha
Sketch? Really? :-/ It would be great if we PC designers could have some love occasionally ;-)
