Every time I adjust myself in the seat of my pickup truck I find myself saying, 'signature move...feeling better'. 😁
Nice.
Yeah me too cause I drive with no license and was speeding and dodged a cop 🤣 just playing a little bit
😂
I am a former Navy Chief Petty Officer and I grew up in and now live in Grand Junction. I still stop what I’m doing and look up and watch the planes as they transition through the valley and I still never get tired of it! GoNavy!
You go to Lincoln orchard Mesa elementary by chance? I grew up in GJ, moved when I was like 11 to Fort Collins.
My uncle was master chief petty officer for the coast guard. I'm not familiar with ranks and what not but from what I understand that's a pretty high rank ?
Sorry, Chief, but as former ARMY aviation, I can't resist: GO ARMY, BEAT navy!! Blessings & stay well👍🏻
😅 @Caninedriver ! USAF Daughter, former Navy wife and a PROUD US ARMY MOM! Hooooah! I lean more towards Army, since my son is now a Sgt and has worked hard for his promotion. My ex, only made E4 in the Navy and I'm the one who did his workbook for his promotion. Plus he's an EX for a reason!
Hey Chief PO, I'd like to buy you a cigar or a nice bottle of bourbon sometime when I go for my monthly (or bimonthly) trip to Junction.
Same goes for you Pail! I'd love to buy you a beer at one of the many breweries in JCT or better yet, if you ever make it to Moab, I'll buy you a beer at Moab Brewery!
Who would have imagined that doing something so regular for yourself but so incredible for others.
This is incredible.
Thanks, Courtney!
Indeed! this is my childhood dream.
I'm from UK - you know America's biggest aircraft carrier! 🤣I'm glad you're on our side!👍✈
“Piano keys”. I learn so much from your videos even if I can’t apply more than ‘signature move’ in my daily life. Keep it coming.
I almost hesitate to use the word "comforting", but the meter and cadence of your narration, coupled with the incredible flight footage, is just that. Thank you, for the descriptions and explanations.
Cheers!
Thank you Sir for what you do. Bless our Vets 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just hate to hear you’re leaving the NAVY. You are a valuable asset, always respected and appreciated!
Another home run! I enjoyed the airline humor. True story, I recently was working on one of my jets, and got to talking with a new hire first officer. He was a former F-18 driver, just left the Navy. He still had the navy spirit, referred to me as a "Maintainer." And, the icing on the cake was, he called me "Sir!"
First time an officer called me sir, lol. Didn't get a salute however but still a good chuckle.
Fly Navy!
Ha!
You got the voice for it. Those signature moves are all fly navy.
😎
"Little signature move, know they love it"
This man maxed out speech and charisma and it shows 😂
Such a cool cat, Pail.😎 Humor ✔️ Signature move ✔️ Voice over ✔️
Slight jet sound in the background ✔️ Love it. Fly Navy 💫 🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻
🙏🏻🇺🇲🙏🏻
Love this….
Each time we drive home, I put my “Growler Jam” voice on and arrive home doing the same thing.
We laugh, and still have respect for all airmen (and women) as we approach our home counting down to ‘Touchdown on our driveway’
As we reverse to park the car, we often put our hands on the dashboard and do a Growler and say “slowly as we park”
Peace, Love and Respect to you all x
Cheers!
Growler...I am absolutely honored to say you represent the best of the USA..!!!
I wish you all the best the world has to offer. You make your parents and the rest of us sooooo proud. Love your videos..!!!
I pray that you will have a great career with one of the major airlines and that I will be honored to have you as my pilot one day.Thank you for your service to our country. We will miss your videos as they are the highlight of my day.
I’m English and was in Grand Junction last year and thought it odd they have an A6 and F11 gate guardians at a place about as far from the ocean as you can get. Thanks for this, brought back memories.
Growler is the voice of Mister Rogers for Naval aviation..I feel like every time I watch I’m waiting for him to sing it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood..
🤣😂👍
Mr Rodger’s ??????
Get real.
Mister Rodgers was an Army Sniper wasnt he?. "Hey friend, just one more step out from behind that truck, there you go..."
He has a WAY SEXIER voice than Mr. Roger's or Bob Ross y'all! I be all up by the cockpit wanting to see THIS sexy pilot! 😂😅
I'm Navy born at Whidbey, myself. Dad was a 20 year man. Naval aviation IS the best!
And frankly we’re the best. No truer words spoken.
I live in GJ and can always tell when Hornets fly in or out; the Hornet has a very distinctive sound. It’s always good to see and hear miljets visit! 🤙🏼
"DOC" flew right over my house yesterday. A fully restored B-29 on downwind ...l know that ww2 sound ..nothing else sounds like that
@@mallinois4978 Oooh! You’re right, NOTHING sounds as beautiful as a big recip - and 4 are even better. I was born with the sound of six big recips on B-36s shaking the ground. I’ve loved those things ever since. 😊🤙🏼
I live near Lincoln Park myself, and I can always tell when the military is making yet another visit to town.
@@helicitywx 😊🤙🏼
Love your voiceovers, really informative. You are a credit to your country and profession. God bless you.
Okay, when you said you were bringing humor I didn't expect this level. This was amazing 😂 🧡
Thanks, Mari.
"GROWLER" , a HEARTFELT THANK YOU for such wonderful, educational, professional, fun, entertaining videos. Reminds me of my time on CV66 ! USS AMERICA. I spent time on her in the early 90s. I, as my "name" indicates, was a Green Beret, aka "snake eater". I enjoyed my time on her. Even the "hump" as you walked the gangways. God bless
Hilarious, I’m always waiting for the signature move now.
Always loved flying into grand junction. Miss it 6:27
As a retired airline pilot with over 32000+ hours of flying time, you made one mistake. You said you were told to cross the hold short line and pause, well you stopped about 30 feet from the spot you should have crossed. 😂 You should have crossed that double solid yellow line and then stopped. With every part of your aircraft passed that solid yellow line. Your holding on the wrong side of the hold line and that could possibly be a violation. And just to make sure I was correct, I showed my wife who is a retired air traffic controller and tower chief manager. As I pointed it out to her, she said, yah, we have a big problem there. Hope you learned something. I love all your videos and voice overs. Great video. Keep them coming. Capt Ben.
I was waiting for my wingman to catch me. We, as a flight, we’re still “clearing the active”. Standard practice.
@@GrowlerJams Did not know that as I’m not military. Thanks for sharing that with me. You have shown me the other side of flying that I wish I could have enjoyed. Both my father and mother were military. Dad navy ( PBY & PBM ) and mom Army air corps (AT6, P-40, P-51 ). Tried to go Navy but the Military wouldn’t let me in because of my hearing. Thanks again an I love your videos
Cheers.
Did your wife hear him say he was waiting on his wingman?
Ok..one more.
Our flight demo team is going to perform at the Grand Junction airshow. (Featuring the Thunderbirds). Its Friday practice day and the Canadian Super Hornet demo team as well as the USN Super Hornet are scheduled to perform on Saturday. After practice ( the USN team had not arrived yet) the commander of the Canadian team was the featured speaker at the performers cook out dinner on the ramp. When it was his turn to speak, he got about 5 words out when the USN 2 ship came roaring into the overhead, pitched out and made about 4 or 5 low approaches. The speaker just gave up and said.."Ladies and Gentlemen, your United States Navy"
The timing was too perfect to be a coincidence..
The Canadians fly the CF-18 which is a version of the Legacy Hornet.
Gotta admit I have bugger all interest in Grand Junction, BUT listening to those dulcet tones of PAIL made the place seem awesome. LOVED IT!!!
Whether as the skipper of your own carrier, or an airline pilot, your future is enviably bright for sure! You were not joking about the sense of humor. Loved it as always!
You forgot to mention that Grand Junction has some awesome dirt biking right under your approach around the airport. Plus, proximity to Moab is awesome.
Moab ROCKS! Mentally and physically!! ❤ 😊 Gotta love the positive vibes from the iron in the red rock! ❤
a naval aviator was the first human to land on the moon
smoothest landing among six landings
fuck yeah
I really enjoy your thoroughly professional aircraft handling skills & your commentary 🫡
Best demo I've seen, F18 in the rain at Cold Lake Base in Canada. I was there for a month TDY from Holloman AFB back in '90. F15 armament systems spec. 7th AMU Bunyaps.
So cool hearing intermediate/advanced strike training lingo make it into a Growler Jam
O MAAAAAAAAANNNN! U missed it! The one chance U had to OFFICIALLY SAY "Please return your seat backs & tray tables to the upright & fully locked position."
Like butter. So nice. And I too perform my "signature move", but on my motorbike. 😁
FLY NAVY !!!!!😀😀😀
Pale, our Navy needs you too. Understand the push pull, but you sound like a level headed guy who'd make a great Skipper!
Hi from Whidbey Island
Was there for the first time last month, watching Blue Angels perform. Brings back great memories!
My daughter is obsessed with becoming a a fixed wing naval aviator. Maybe talk about your career path someday? I'm a medically retired Marine ground pounder and my father was an F-15C pilot but neither of us have useful Navy advice for her
i was born on fidalgo island and currently live in grand junction
Naval Aviation - "On deck" lol
Dang you guys really got lost trying to find the aircraft carrier! Lol. Great video thanks.
Ha!
Dude!! You’re the best.
Love the contrast between a trap and an unarrested, mile long landing rollout. :)
I appreciate your professionalism and your ability, both physical and mental. I envy you and your ability to fly those jets!
I guess we’ll all have to get used to saying Fly Delta but it won’t be the same as FLY NAVY
Excellent video, thank you.
Just love it..thank you.
Very cool, well executed.
Beautiful day and video as always
Thanks for all you do
so awesome and what a quick trip!
Great narration as always!
Smooth. Very smooth!!!
Grand Junction is also, importantly, home to Flyin' Miata, the ultimate engineering & manufacturer of aftermarket performance goodies for all us owners. Save the manuals! Go Navy!
Thanks!
Thank you!!
Excellent video. Cheers.
That was a good one. Enjoyed it! Keep’em coming.
Fly with you any day!
Much appreciated.
Love it Awesome 👏 👍😀
Thanks for the voiceover and ride Really Appreciated look forward to all your videos
Grand Junction native! Love watching the F18’s train there!
You are doing very good work, it is a pleasure to watch you.
Always great when you're in the cockpit.
Thanks for a very informative and fun video !!👍
One of my favorite channels... keep it up
Great jam today, Pail. Love getting to Fly Navy when these show up.
Great landing, you got a great job. Thanks
New favourite channel. Please keep the videos coming!
fascinating example of irrigation in a desert, dirt left, grass and civilization right.
Thank you
Thank you for your service Sir. Awesome views! 👏🏽 😎 👍🏾🇺🇲
Excellent flight! Complementary up grade to first class, a window seat, peanuts and a soft drink. 👍🥜🥜🥜🥤Fly Navy✈
Wow the scenery really made this video for me.
As always, excellent job! I love watching these full screen. Always wanted to be a pilot as a kid.
Nicely done. The airline humor was spot on - sounds like you have been practicing in anticipation of a future career change! Keep up the good work and thanks for your insight and history lessons.
Great Navy landing! Thanks for your service sir 🤙
Love seeing my hometown on this! 🤘🏻
I fly those "secret" Twin Otters at the end of 11 :)
I'm heading to GJ next week👍
Little signature move ha, absolutely love it 😆
You know I love that signature move lol. I guess being in the military they might not allow you to get one of those ultra cushy bum and nut cushions.
But cushions? Ha!
Love it!
Home sweet home! And yes good ol’ Enstroms Toffee!
GJT is a good alternative for DEN. Always have good luck there for a quick gas and go
I love these videos. First rate.
Smooth!
I love your videos, Pail ! Hope you had a great weekend. #FlyNavy
🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲
Favorite channel.
Nice one staying current is the key.
Great humor! Its really good to hear your explaination of your moves to get into final approach and land. Two entirely different situations from that long runway to a carrier landing! Thank you for taking us along and fly Navy (airlines)!
Marine pilot here (of 50 years ago) who never flew jets. Been flying FSX for years now. A few years back taught myself to fly the VRS F/A-18E 'Superbug'. Learned to carqual using NATOPS. Have learned how to use all the various weapons systems. I study all your videos for details I may have missed (not many). Nothing like doing it for real, though. Hope you're not getting too much grief from the brass for making yourself a movie star. Payback: this is a great recruiting tool. I would've LOVED to have videos like this to watch when I was a kid. Keep 'em coming.
Love the voice over. Fly Navy!
Another awesome jam..and that signature move you know we love it! Oh Yeah..
Thanks
Always enjoy a firm contact with the ground landing.
“Signature Move” cracks Me up every time and I just know You have a grin on Your face every time You do it. Keep up the great work You do for all Brother!
Cheers!
Exceptionally done. This was enjoyable to view and listen to.
Thanks!
