Man these pundits wanna exclude the Heat so bad, its jarring. You would think Heat were the charlotte bobcats. The best coach in the league, 2 top 20 players, a top flight organization yet these dudes constantly disrespect the Heat ... until they ultimately dismantle all the "contenders". Then its "of course they beat those contenders!! they have playoff jimmy, Spo and HEAT CULTURE!!!" acting as if they were always on the train. 🙄

I think you hit the nail on the head, Tobin. The Heat were a play-in team, yes, but the East was really close other than the Celtics. The only team I really expect to be significantly better in the regular season is NY. The young teams like the Pacers and Magic will probably be healthier than the Heat and they'll close the gap because of that, but I don't trust the Cavs, the Bucks or the Sixers to do the same. The Heat can definitely be a top four team in the conference if we can get it together in enough stretches of the regular season.
In the playoffs, I still like our chances against the Celtics. We'll never have home court advantage, but it doesn't matter. We have a better coach and we only need to win 4 games.
when has #$%^ ever thought Heat were interesting? the Heat were #1 in the NBA and they called them "dangerous loomers". who cares what those personalities think, they're about sports like MTV is about music today.
4 games separated the 2nd and 8th seeds in the East last year. The Heats 3rd best player missed half the season. The player they acquired at the deadline missed significant time as well. Jimmy was going through it personally..
To make Miami seem like a bottom feeder is dumb.
