Awesome video!!
Many thanks for your message, very much appreciated.
Hope you get a good crop of melons.
All the best 🍉🌼
Thanks for your video!
How long did it take for the cuttings to develop roots? Clearly, the experiment has ended by Aug, 29, but I might have missed the starting date. Also, did you change water during the experiment? Lack of air in it might result in a plant's decay, so I am curious how often did you refill the container with fresh water, or if you used an air pump.
Hi. Thanks for watching and your message.
The cuttings only took about 10 days to root as they do so very easily. Water was changed a couple of times to stop it becoming stagnant in the summer heat. I don’t have air pumps and that’s not something you need for cuttings.
You can also propagate Melon by layering the shoots into soil, if that is more practical for you.
Good luck with your growing and harvesting of melons 🍉
When we change the water 3 days once?
@@saranyathilak9337 Hi. Thanks for watching the video and the message.
I change the water once a week or top it up as required. That’s it.
The plants root easily so one or 2 changes of water is normally as much as you need to do.
Hope this helps you 🪴🍉
Thank you for your reply 😊
@@saranyathilak9337 no problem 🌼
looks like a Pumpkin to me thou....
Thanks for watching. Definitely a melon although Melon and Pumpkin are in the same family so do all have similar shaped leaves.
Enjoy your gardening 🌸🍉
Does it give Fruits ?
Yes. The cutting roots quickly and continues to grow to bare fruit as normal. It fruited only a little later than the main plants but that might have been because I took the cuttings quite late into the season.
I accidentally cut cantalope steam, can i do same like video?🥲
@@mlndnlmtp6568
Hi. Many thanks for watching and your message. Yes you absolutely can take Cantaloupe cuttings in the same way.
Hopefully you will still manage to get a fruit from the ‘mother’ plant.
All the best with your crops🍈🍉
@@diyhomeandgardening thank you for reply ,can i do in soil? Or more recommend in water?
@@mlndnlmtp6568 You can take cuttings into compost but I found that the cuttings actually produce roots quicker just in water.
@@diyhomeandgardening thank you so much for video and respon in my question,i seen some good progress on the steam 🥹🩷
