Love this, so vulnerable. I’ve watched lily for ages and it’s so nice to see lily and rich being honest, vulnerable and helping people by telling their story!

This was really sweet. I've been watching Lily for years and it felt like I was getting a behind the vlogs peek into her family life. It also made me like Rich even more. Got the vibe that he's very dedicated to his family and I enjoyed listening to his perspective and thoughtful reflections.

Don't often listen to podcasts about raising children because I don't have any, but love Rich & Lily, and was really interested in the male perspective. Really enjoyed listening to this, especially because of the very loving, mature and empathetic relationship I feel Lily & Rich share. All the best to them always.

Great guests and an important conversation to be had!
It’s so interesting for me to hear a male perspective. I grow up with my grandad taking a year off work to care/look after me whilst my Mum and my Nan went to work. As it was the better financial decision at the time. We’re still so close and bonded to this day! Love hearing variation of family structure.
Well done Rich for the honesty.

Oh my gosh this made me cry. I had post partum anxiety so bad and this included health anxiety related to post partum complications. It is so hard! So validating to hear this experience. Hope you are doing well now Rich!

My husband also had health anxiety when we were trying to conceive and it took longer than expected…. He would go into a dark space, googling symptoms for pains and aches (many of which were psychosomatic, in my opinion), and just be generally anxious. Im so glad I noticed early on and helped him find the support he needed. Health anxiety needs to be talked about more widely!!

Alot of people will say they have never hear of health anxiety but everyone knows what a hypochondriac is!! Thanks for being soo honest I went through this with my partner when I was on maternity leave with our second son. I feel horrible saying it but at the time I didn't have the time, energy or head space to try and help or explain to him that it was all in his head!!!!

Rich I am so pleased you have spoken about this topic. I am a 48 year old female and the way you have explained health anxiety is 100% how I feel . I work myself up about a part of my body then another day it could be something else 😢I can’t think about anything else sometimes like you say I will prob and poke the area. Like you say I think you need to fill your mind so you can’t drift off to the negative place. The mind is so scary xx

Thanks for sharing. I dealt with the same thing with my second, after having a lot of real health issues after my first. It's a nasty cycle, and so hard to deal with.

Health anxiety is something that we don't hear often and treated as a general anxiety disorder. But it just so overwhelming and dreadful feeling that torn tou out od life. You dont remember days, months. You forget to eat, wash ec. You can't work. You're just so afraid that the fear just take you over. It's awful feeling.

Very interesting firstly that the Mother doesn't take maternity leave at all and secondly the paternal anxiety.
