That 2000 nissan sentra is damn near bullet proof, my mom bought one brand new off the lot, put 250k miles before having to put in a new alternator and then it made it to 400k miles until someone hit it and destroyed it

From this list I'll take the Mazda 3, but in real life I drive a Mazda 2. It's practically the definition of cheap, fun and reliable if you like curves over straight lines (and let's face it, at this price point you're more likely to find "light and nimble" than "powerful and fast".)
Mazda MX6 is also a great cheap car that's under $2000... 2.5 litre V6 which revs all the way to 7000rpm and shoots flame with rev limiter component. The Mazda Mx6 is underated.
Car shopping with you is like going to the dollar store with a $10 bill. I can afford everything, so I have to choose carefully. I just wish that I could drive more than one car at a time. What a problem!
Oil is cheaper than engines. They all burn a little oil when the miles go up. I keep 1 or 2 spare quarts just in case but staying on top of it is still cheaper than replacing the engine.
I've got a 2015 elantra with the 1.8, it's pretty peppy, very reliable and can last long enough if the maintenance is done on time, but they can actually look really cool and can handle really well with a bunch of not so expensive mods
The early 2000s Fords touras are cheap and reliable with little maintenance. I would know because I own one with almost 213,000 miles on it, and it still runs like a champ.
I know it’s not the best car but I bought a 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium 2.0 EcoBoost 126k clean title one owner no accidents mint. Brand new transmission and turbo plus recent full maintenance with timing chain done all at dealer. Got it for $1,800 just needed electronic rack and pinion which I replaced myself.
Miss my 07 focus hatchback I have never heard of them having an alternator issue I ended up putting crane aftermarket cams in it and had a full fswerks header and exhaust and an steeda intake and a few other bolt ons and Dyno tuned it and I never had a problem with the alternator unfortunately it was rear ended and completely written off...It was a blast to drive
Got my 03 Benz E320 for 2 grand… it’s also got 200k miles on it but it was well maintained so it’s almost as if it’s really only got 100k on it but the interior and electronics still look brand new
@andrewdorsey7444 I only mentioned the Z24 because it was the "coolest" out of their trim levels. But I definitely believe you, I bought one for parts this spring with 450k for $400 and actually still drive it once and awhile. Besides the interior being absolutely destroyed, the engine and transmission still work fine.
05 corolla has the rare trim of the xrs for 5-7k, if u can buy one, great power for a beginner plus a 6 speed but be ready for the tax that comes with parts regarding to model specific parts

Mine was a civic lx

Or Ford Probe GT

Buick has sketchy trans and the saturn sl is definitely a super reliable car these cars will run forever
You forgot the Z24 Cavalier. Cheap as shit and will take as much abuse as your beloved honda/toyota. And alot cooler than any Vw
We don't have a z24 but a coupe with a 5speed and 350000ish miles odometer stopped working still going

Saab 9-2’s can be found in the mid to high $2000 range. Basically a Subaru with a different top hat. Good option

I wish car companies still made the vehicles with the front middle seat available for 6 seats overall.
What is the reliability of the 2011 Chevy impala
Any of these cars you find for under 2k will need about 3k worth of work so be prepared to wrench
Hey man, try making best reliable cars under 10K in Indonesia, here everything is expensive as hell
Ima get a Chevy impala you’ve made my choice
BRO WHERE are you finding a 06 Camry for under $2,000!?
Crown Vic for sure
1:19 that Camry was washed with hot water and shrank. (It's a corolla)
More reliable than an alarm clock isn't a high bar. If you're like me, you just shut it off, and sleep for another 5 hours
Try a Saturn Astra
You cannot find anything under 5000k$ that is running. Covid had changed car prices.
I want a lifted awd civic
Oh yeah the ‘99 civic Si in the thumbnail is definitely under 2k. Doubt it’s below even 20 grand tbh
lmfao it was a srt 4 for me which is also not 2k but yeah a nice em1 is 10x 2k 😂
I have 2 $2000 cars 2006 Toyota Yaris and 1998 JDM Subaru B4 RSK twin turbo 340 hp
I haven’t watched yet, but I’m willing to bet none of the cars listen can be found under 2k.
Yet I found 15 with links. Let’s go!
Thanks I’m thinking of buying a car and I’m on a budget
what ya gonna get?
