Hey Ceri and Kat, Eagle eyes as always guys, top marks! 😊 👀👍. This walk was actually filmed a couple of months ago, but saved for Halloween weekend due to the witchy history, which is why the water levels in the reservoir were so low, let's hope they have improved a little by now🤞🤞 . Hahaha indeed, you couldn't have gotten away with knocking up the kernels secret spice back in the days of the witch trials! 😳🤣 🧙♀️. Paths were brilliant on this walk, would actually be a great family walk, there were plenty of little ones at the summit👍. New area for us but we will definitely be checking out some other walks in beautiful Lancashire😊👍. Ahhh guys this was so nice , PENBLWYDD HAPUS to Chrissy ( Happy birthday ! ) Looked like a lovely place to hike with great views and so expansive ! The reservoir looked lovely and so cute to see the little frog not knowing he is now a UA-cam star hehe. Thanks for the history on the Pendle Witches Shell , I had heard of them but didn't know the story so that was good to hear. You got gorgeous footage over the summit with the drone and that looked like a nice pub you ended up at and the lodge that you stayed at looked great with the hot tub . Nothing like a blustery walk to blow those hangovers away!! Stunning views from the top. Loved the witch stories Shell. Ok, don’t be a vegan in the 1600’s!! Wow those views are incredible. Oo brave flying the drone in that wind, stunning views through. Wills is getting drone shot envy here guys. Always good to have a pub visit especially a birthday pub visit. Haha don't be a vegan in the 1600s, love it!🤣🤣. We think it was definitely a more dangerous lifestyle back then than it is today for sure 😆 🧙♀️. It was certainly super windy at the top, the poor little drone kept beeping and telling Pete to land it, but he soldiered on as he said if it went down he could go and get it🤣🙈. This walk was so lovely and did help us blow the cobwebs away, all in time for another birthday pub visit 🎂🥳🍻. Ooh hedgerow glamping lodges was such an amazing place to stay, we have already booked to go back for a short break next year🤩🥰👍. Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely comments guys. A very Happy but belated Birthday Chrissy and what better way of getting rid of a hangover that a nice brisk walk in the great outdoors, up to Pendle Hill! Bit of a rocky and steep climb up and a bit of bog as well, at least the frog was enjoying that. Seems a popular summit but with those views I can understand why with the time of year as well as the history. Ohhh that was a 'very' cheeky stop off to the pub, especially for Chrissy - was that a large rum and coke😳. Loved the lodge you were stopping at but it had to be a thorn between two roses in that hot tub mind 😁. Cheers Alan
Hahaha yes think you are right there Alan, but the 'thorn' very much enjoyed it!🤣👌. Chrissy has been my (Shell's) best friend for over 20 years so she is very use to Pete's antics🤣. We all had a great weekend, pendle hill certainly helped blow the cobwebs away, all in time for a stop off at the pub🍻👍. Ah thanks so much Stephen, the Pendle witches are fascinating aren't they, have to say our research was limited, as we only decided to climb pendle hill the evening before, but what we did read was very interesting and also quite a sad part of history 🧙♀️ . Not gonna lie, I could feel Shell's hangover through the screen 🤣 and Pete was far too cheery for someone with a hangover! O.B. The weather is on you. 4:47.There are interesting creatures along this trail, aren't they? Hmm any sign of fall foliage? Just thick, thick greenery. Always enjoy hiker's satisfaction seeing cairns. The drone footage is stable and gorgeous in spite of the gusty winds. Appreciate the story about the witch trial and the death of victims.The sad part of history.
