Vegas didn't stop finishing their checks, frankly they were trying to injure players on the Capitals. The game I watched was filled with dirty plays from the caps players that went uncalled, and at some key moments, and the frustration from that boiling over at the end. I mean it was Oshie that put that shady back check on the Vegas player to make it a 2-5 lead. I saw this his as payback and a message for next game. I mean you can say it was not a penalty worthy move by Oshie but he knew exactly what he was doing, drop pass so the defense man turns his head to pursue the puck and then put a back check to the head to hurt the guy. It was cheap shot all the way, and it was a make or break moment for Vegas which Oshie knew which is why he did the dirty play at the key moment. This was not the only dirty playing I saw, and I did see some from Vegas throughout the game as well but it was more noticeable on the Caps side of things. Disclosure: I might be biased because I really do not like the Caps (never have) so I do kind of want to see Vegas win, but I don't care that much. As a Blackhawks fan I am still licking my wounds from the last 3 miserable seasons.
