I have the same problems with swing path on short shots and have never seen the left shoulder down as a means to correct this. Fascinating video and can’t wait to try this out!.
A wonderful pairing. Would love to see you both in the same outfit taking on the Me and My Golf boys. That would be UA-cam Golf Gold. Although you'd have to make sure James doesn't ground his club in all the bunkers. He's notorious for it on his channel! Says he's only 'practicing'!
So, the take away is: to get more consistent you have to give yourself less things to do. Also, get lessons from someone like James to help with your short game. Love his short game area. Cheers.
Seems hard for Coach to learn since he questions all the motions and moves so easily rather than focus on trying to understand and learn first- wastes lots of time and energy questioning the basic concept…Probably would not like himself as a student….
For nearly 26 mins of video the nugget of info was left shoulder goes down at takeaway and club path needs to stay on plane. Seems like 25 and 1/2 minutes too long of video.
Once again, top notch content Coach. I'm 100% sure I've been dragging it away on the inside like you were.
Wow. Great session, Been having the push with the chip shots for ages. More Please !
I loved the videos with James last year and I love this one! What a great insightful look into this part of your game Coach!
Talk about a check-in!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Always learn so much from James 🔥
i enjoy watching you get coached coach
Glad you enjoy it! I do too 😂
Outstanding lesson
Thanks! 😃

Glad to help
Love the simplification of this. Left shoulder to left foot seems a good drill to go practice.
At 9:20 you talk about moving left shoulder down and head slightly fort during backswing. Somebody’s been watching Stricker!
... now he's good isn't he! Scotty Scheffler says he tries to think of him with "dead arm" pitching ... says a lot eh!
Hope your golf's going well.
Fewer variables, I can live with that 😬
Great video. Subbin' right now.
Great vid , cheers 👍

Great video, thanks as always
Thanks for watching!
Wow. What a fantastic training facility.
Wish we had something remotely as close to that near here.
It really is!
That was very informative. I take inside like you did. Guess I’ll have to go practice this new move. How much do you weaken your grip?
I try and go as weak as 1 knuckle 👍

Love these type of videos. Get loads from them. The SIM stuff not so much.
Glad you like them!
Never thought about the left shoulder down to start takeaway. Is that something to think about for long irons as well?
Interesting that Coach Lockey never mentions bounce.
When Coach has been at your golf course on a day you are not there. Sad times 😢😂
Sorry 😢
I'd say scoopy too Matt . PGA Tour Coach Derek Deminsky. is your man
Derek's great. He attended my training course a few years ago...

Lol
A "new world best short game coach" - there exist simply several thousounds of them on youtube. Great
It seems you haven't read what it says🤔
😂👍
Absolutely right. Only a few of us work with the world's best players however.
@@JamesRidyardGolf how can I get a lesson with you?
Not really. Dan Grieve and James Ridyard are the gold standard. Do you mean you've seen two?
Unsure about this new coach, Coach.
Where's the snarky comments, the passive aggressive attitude.
And driving 5 hours to get away from Crossfield?
Seems hard for Coach to learn since he questions all the motions and moves so easily rather than focus on trying to understand and learn first- wastes lots of time and energy questioning the basic concept…Probably would not like himself as a student….
I ask questions to help the audience understand 👍 Sorry that annoys you

Janner ! Golf is hard ! Work with what you have, great vid but im too old for all that jazz 😂
Hit the golf ball…. There you go, you never have to watch a golf instruction video ever again! You’re welcome.
A little bit needy matt !! Obviously you are a bit tired !!
I’d love to see you have a lesson with Dan Grieve @coachlockey… that guy really is the short game wizard!!!!
