So glad you found us!! For the fireplace we hired a muralist to create a marble look with paint - cool, right?! We used this same muralist for another project during season one too!

My color palette is black, gold and cream. He has a good eye for what he wants. Adding more black to the bedroom is much needed. Great tip for saving cost on the cabinets.

Do you acquire the contractors or was that the clients responsiblity?
Do you communicate with them yourselves?
Great question!! We have a network of contractors that we work with a trust, but we are always willing to use the contractors our client is using - as long as they meet our criteria. The NKDG team becomes the point of contact for all contractors once we are hired.

What would you say are the most challenging parts of managing a project this large from a distance? I know you are an expert at this, but what are some of the tough spots where your experience and expertise really get a chance to shine?
@@chriswojdakphoto The most challenging part of this project was not being in constant communication with the contractor. The client had a prior relationship with him, so took the lead on construction management. Typically, we bring in a contractor that we've worked with in the past so it's a much more cohesive partnership.
