They are doing this at my local! Big dirty old Millenium park in Calgary. Was long overdue, there was huge chunks of concrete missing everywhere. So stoked!
Such a chill vibe to this. Can't wait until I lost some weight and can try flip tricks "for real" again :D FS Flips are one of my goals and yours looked so comfy in this vid. Also amazing Hardflip dude.
So nice that they surface it....that park is so dope and last time i was there it was almost imposible to skate...it was too grainy and rought! Good job poco city!
Sick, man. I can't imagine scouring an entire park... it sounds great! Rolling on the 8.5 of your board design right now... really enjoying the fat nose/tail.
Haven’t been to rail side in years, now I’m remembering how many Great features there are. This could be one of the best parks in BC after the resurface
Stockwell in London got resurfaced back in 2022 after needing it for some time, and it absolutely rules. Great to skate, great sessions, loads of big names roll through and blow minds. Shin Sanbongi there was absolutely peak!
Hey Ben I don't know if you only helped design the shape of the 8.25 real easy rider board but I got it in 8.5 and the shape is rly awesome. Big thanks and big love for your videos. I thougt you were done with making yt videos but when I wasn't shure what board to get, I saw your video and I knowing your videos for so long I instantly knew this board would fit me as well ❤
My park used to be rly polished and slippery and i liked it bc i was the only one practicing primo slides n then they re-did it and now its just a normal good park that everyone likes except me LOL. Slippery floors are also good for eliminating razor tail, it doesnt rly scrape and shrink the tail like a rough ground would
I got the new Ishod 8.38 Easy Rider. Well done on the new shape. I avoided Deluxe boards for years because they were always too steep for me, even though I really wanted to ride them. The timing was perfect too because Spitfire put out a 97A radial for Delfino. So now I am really enjoying that combo. The 97 radial full had too much grip for me, so now I’m really getting a sample of what I’d consider my Goldilocks setup.
They actually resurface a lot of parks here in Queensland like that but they are only polishing turds here, that park looks really fun so well worth it.
Here in Kansas City they demolish the old parks, only to build an even turdier park that only takes half the size of the lot but gets filled with features you don't have a run up to.
@@bendegros Right? I went there this Summer for the first time in a few years and the amount of pushing to maintain speed was kind of brutal. Still had a bit of fun though.
Dude this looks amazing!! What park is this?! Looks like Coquitlam. The park in Richmond off of River Road needs this baaaadly... I remember Chris Haslam pumping around that park when I was a kid and now you need to push like crazy to even make it from one quarter to the next! It'd be great to see it go back to how it used to be!
Resurfing the concrete is really an interesting option, because here it demolishes some old parks to make new ones. However, some new skateparks are well done, but a little too generic and there is practically no more flat section in those new park.??!? Flat are not impressive so they put 1000 obstacles in a space that should not have those . Anyway, good skating and video!
hey ben, do you know any more details about the grinding process they used? it would be good to know what its called, or what equipment they used. i figure the more people who know what to recommend to their cities, the better, so more parks can get the same treatment as yours!
@ben - do you know who did the work? There’s a bunch of parks in the PacNW that need this treatment. There’s a real niche market here for a smart contractor.
My local park is 20+ year old asphalt with metal prefab ramps. The ramps, ledge, and miniramp are all actually in decent shape but the ground is just awful.
You look super comfy on your board and like you're really enjoying skating at the moment, its great to see, wholesome and infectious.
Do you want to play a hand of caravan No Bark
what this guy's sayings got bite
thanks for continuing to upload. I know motivation can go up and down with years of doing this but we love to watch em.
I have the desire to make videos but not the time and the will to actually do it.
At 56 I've started skating again after a 40 year break. Love your videos.
Sick. That’s sweet.
The man can still rip!! Kudos to whoever maintains that park and spent the time and $$ to make the improvements.
Thanks ben for inspiring me to switch to thunder’s. Made the world’s difference. God bless 🙏
We asked for lights to be added to our local. They’re adding a bowl with no lights 🤣😭
Been trying to get lights for so long
WELL, ……….looks like they made it gnarlier before they’d make it safer 💀😂
What city is this one in ?
They dont want you there at night lol
They don't want people out at night..the bad hurts the good as usual
On me
9:25 💕👏👍 Wooo 🥳 Nice to see you Ben and hear Adriano. Hope you guys are well. Much love 🤙
Oh man, the unbroken smooth sound of his wheels when he's riding the bowl, you just know it's buttery!
After a 15 year break , I Started back skating about 2 months ago. I’ve been straight up bingeing your videos. Glad to see the new post! ❤
That park looks super fun! Keep shredding and keep up the good work! 🛹🙌
Awesome! Glad you could make it back out to railside!! It's really nice now. So much fun to skate.
Great video man. Love watching you skate. Brings me back. We’re from the same era.
I see myself in the background at 2:44 LOL was dope meeting you btw!!
Hi Chad!!!!
@@bendegros Hey Ben, was awesome meeting you!
that was fantastic skating imo, Ben. inspiring. skatepark is alive again!
Very cool that they reinvested in the park.
Always good to watch you freely skate through a session.
Stay Rad Sir.
That park looks so much fun!!! You can totally tell how smooth it is.. Your board wheels are so quiet!
Seeing Ben rip brings me joy
Too busy being an “Adult” but watching you shred brings back many memories cheers
They are doing this at my local! Big dirty old Millenium park in Calgary. Was long overdue, there was huge chunks of concrete missing everywhere. So stoked!
Oh hell yeah! I live in Calgary too
No way! Millz is legendary. That’s great news. I live in Edm and always stop there for a sesh when I’m in Calgary.
That whole park needs an overhaul. Some iconic spots but some super out of date spots too
Hope you are right, red bowl is such a good shape, but just too dang slow… 🤠
@@scotthaggar beginner section is done, they are doing the bathtub right now. Assuming they will do vert section next!
Awesome Ben. Always high end content we love to watch. Keep them vids coming out.

They did the same thing to Kona skatepark, it's so much better now. I bet it's labor intensive. Looking solid, Ben!
The park looks so fun :)
You have a really good bs heel and switch fs flip Ben!
Keep the good content up brother 🔥❤
So nice that they surface it....that park is so dope and last time i was there it was almost imposible to skate...it was too grainy and rought! Good job poco city!
Cool to see dude still killing it.
The first back heel on that hip looked amazing.
I was just thinking about you! Definitely my favorite UA-camr, keep it up.
Thanks 😊
If that’s a Todd Francis pigeon t-shirt, that’s sick!!! Kinda jealous 😭
Good to see you getting out there.

you're an inspiration ben!
Had a fever for the last couple of days but seeing Ben post after a while definitely made my day!
That pigeon shirt is sick! 😮

Love watching you skate man. Did not have the summer I was hoping to have. Hoping for a decent fall.
That park looks perfect
9:49 Switch heel flip over the euro gap was super sweet.
I noticed the filmer says eh a lot just like we do in Minnesota hahaha, Ben clean trick, great video park looks fun
So cool! Reminiscent and great skating !
Oh damn my local park! I had no idea this was being done.
What park? That kicker to ledge looks fun
Enjoy your videos man ❤ keep enjoying life ❤️
Rail Ben goes hard! 🙌 Would love to see a switch hardflip if the regular ones hurt 😄
New video from Ben on my birthday hell yeah !
Happy Birthday 🥳

I only designed the 8.25. The 8.5 is one of their classic shapes on the new concave.
Always a good day when Ben posts

Looks as smooth as one of your California patches
He's back!
nollie flip was nicely dipped
Hanging on for dear life.

What a great improvement, if the Port Moody and Coquitlam parks could get the same treatment I would be pretty hyped
Port Moody is sooooooo bad. I used to love that park.
@@bendegros Right? I went there this Summer for the first time in a few years and the amount of pushing to maintain speed was kind of brutal. Still had a bit of fun though.

Very stealthy dad shoes and jorts!
feel'n those one foots!
Sick upload.
You look so very happy...
Ben I have some backyard concrete that’s rough, do you know whats the epoxy that makes the smooth finish for outdoors skateparks?
Sorry I don’t.
Knowing the price of concrete regrinding it would be so much cheaper.
Drop a new vid when you can Ben. We'll watch them.
Them shorts look the perfect length
This would be the best park in vienna
hi ben, what is the name of this park? looks amazing also location would be super cool
Good ol poco park lol

any reviews on the Independent stage 4 planning to buy some pair

I couldn’t tell you what it is exactly. It’s a commercial concrete grinding process I’m sure. It’s not super uncommon.
5:04 Opportunity for an NBD front side berry grab.
One foot! Woooooo
We need this in Nanaimo, we have two parks which are pretty rough
I used to skate pioneer when it was brand new.
@@bendegros pioneer and the one behind the curling rink are super rough these days
@wavesummit oh man I used to skate the curling rink 2012-2017 and it was baaaad then 😅
What trucks you riding these days, Ben?
I’m still on the venture v lights. I just rode thunders for a couple weeks to test a board with a longer wheelbase.
@@bendegrosI was gonna say, those aren’t ventures 🕵️♂️
After some madness, I’m on regular thunder 147s and they’re great.

No idea.
What did they use? Ardex 123?
How's your achilles feeling?
Can you do a review of quasi skateboards or FA/ hockey
When did you get so good?
Whoever the contractor is, they need to head to Kennewick. Wish I could be out skating now. Damn you plantaris muscle
in finland they messed up a repair so bad that they replaced concrete corners with asphalt D:
Always at least one weirdo at the park
They need to do resurface south surrey skatepark badly, the exposed aggregate asphalt slices my wheels on power slides like a cheese grater
