I got a spin in a V8 petrol on a skidpan with the TC off at Silverstone about 12 odd years ago - Them Panameras are a big yoke when they are sideways - That is a fantastic job you lads done there - My next car !!
take it to darkside, or somebody else who knows their stuff. A shitty remap will result in the car not driving optimally, even tho you have the extra hp. Speaking from experience.
You should, the torque curve gets much more agressive in the start so the engine feels much more powerful. Darkside sells a flashing units they send to you, you read out the stock file and send it back, then recieve a "custom" tune that can be loaded back. I have it for my 3.0 TDI and it was cheaper than going to ABT or some of the other. And you keep the flashing unit and can have several tunes on it that you can load into the ECU in about 5-10 minutes.
How about this compared the v8 diesel Porsche? Looking at a cayenne v8 diesel, but maybe a v6 with these mods could also work. Only issue is I am in South Africa.
It's a tough comparison as the 4.0 V8 TDI only came out in later models which are still the best part of £50k+. This 3.0 TDI + mods would be half that and very similar performance.
@@DarksideDevelopments hmm. Definitely something to look into then. I know these 3l tdi motors are proper. Had one of the early ones in a b7 A4 a few years ago so I know the base.
@@harryperfors2224 the V8 is actually cheaper to get here in Belgium due to taxation. I have 2 of them chipped too the max. They hold up fine. The first one i have now for 3years, the 2end 2years.
I think the rear bulbous design of early Panamera's, was due to the CEO at the time being well over 6ft, and insisting the rear headroom was high enough for overly tall people. He's now gone ✌️
We do indeed. We don't have a tuner over there but we offer remote tuning! Check out our powergate units - www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/darkside-powergate-3-user-unit.html
lol i'm sitting here thinking "they put that in a panamera?" but hey now america is building pickup trucks with 4bangers and suvs with only electric motors. stock panamera 1 second faster 0-60 than touareg v10 xD
The 3.0 Tdi is a great motor.
We want Ryan , this guy is just too handsome 😅
He's also bleeping smooth. 6:35 seamlessly asking us to like the video 😅
I'm not sure if that was a compliment or a polite way of just saying bring Ryan back 😂😂 - Danny
Yes get it in CarWow!
Excellent review very informative and a great upgrade to a already superb car..

They do 4x4, Panamera 4 and 4S
Got my Macan booked in with you soon for a stage 1. Looking forward to it!
was the remap good?
@@1999tomiodude love it!
They do a 4.0 v8 diesel aswell with 450bhp
Not in this version, the 970. 971 is a different car altogether.
@@EAD_0 I don’t believe I said it was this version it was a mere fact that they do a v8 diesel lol but thanks for you’re valuable input 😐
@@Gearhead90 no problem. Always here to help 👌.
First to the spot never thought I would ever see a diesel Porsche
I’ve been debating if I should tune my 3.0 TDI , the 245 hp is enough for every day driving but a 300 hp tune would be rather nice :)

I have a delete and tune 2014 A6 3.0Tdi and it’s a different car. Absolutely do it. Picked up about 3mpgs too!
Belle vidéo 👌 😉
How much is the turbo upgrade for this engine in the cayenne please?
Drop us an email to sales@darksidedevelopments.co.uk with vin/reg and we can see what will match with the cayenne
Porsche does actually have a Audi quattro/VW 4motion/mercedes 4matic equivalent. And its just called 4. So there is a 911 carrera 4, Panamera 4 ect.

Get the 4.2liter v8 tdi wirh a tune. I have 2 of them. They are beasts
@@hansturpyn5455 yeah I think I will. The price difference between the v6 and v8 is negligible.

The panamera gts is 4 wheel drive with 4 wheel steering 😂
Get it on carwow
They actually make a turbo s e hybrid version of the panamera 680bhp and it’s a flying machine I think it would blow that diesel away lol
Have you tuned a macan proper? The turbo is only 400hp, you could almost make the diesel as fast.
Not done anything big on a macan but it would make similar figures for sure
Transfer boxes break under normal load never mind 400bhp lol

is this basically the amarok v6?

Ha nice , should make a lovely motor especially if you tune it.👍
