Honestly starting at 16:02 is some of the best advice I’ve ever been given on building strength!! Making training harder for yourself, going without a belt / straps etc, going into the comp making it easier! Thank you Brian and Eddie!
It’s such important advice for intermediates. You see so many guys in the gym lifting okay numbers, but they’ve got every single piece of supportive equipment on. Like if you weigh 80kg, there’s no need to wear a belt when squatting 100kg (unless you have underlying injuries of course). Just be patient and get stronger.
@Jim Bean There are a number of us old guys who press big weights still. I will be 57 this month and have hit 585 raw this year as a gym lift with a touch and go.
