    Eddie still has some of the best static strength. Back in 2017 he was a monster. Go check his bench vids of him hitting 585 for like 6 pause reps. He said he could take the bench record if he focused on it.

    • @ralfburon6179

      Ralf Buron At the time of 585 x6 paused he could hit like 660 for one, and Eddie being the guy he is he might just have had the wr in him if he trained for it. like he said. Just speculating ^-^

      SmokinRaiders goldistomp from 300 kg to 335 kg there is a long, long way and the power do not grow endless. By the way Kirill is as old as Eddie and I think he can top his own record.

    Honestly starting at 16:02 is some of the best advice I’ve ever been given on building strength!! Making training harder for yourself, going without a belt / straps etc, going into the comp making it easier! Thank you Brian and Eddie!

    • @him050
      @him050 2 роки тому +3

      It’s such important advice for intermediates. You see so many guys in the gym lifting okay numbers, but they’ve got every single piece of supportive equipment on. Like if you weigh 80kg, there’s no need to wear a belt when squatting 100kg (unless you have underlying injuries of course). Just be patient and get stronger.

      @USPatriot69 Have you ever laid down on the bench and even held 600 or 700 pounds above your face and neck? It is a feat regardless of their size. They may not be pound for pound as strong as some of the lighter lifters, but there is definitely a limit that the human body can take. If I was in a car accident I would rather have a 400 pound guy who could lift 600lbs off of me that a 140 lb guy who could lift 280 pounds off of me. Not hating. just stating facts.

    I love a whippy bar when I am benching heavy. I am digging the age shirt too. I will be 57 this month. I love a deep knurled grip on my bar. Bar makes a big difference. Keep killing it you young men. Old man strength will kick in when you are in your 50s. LOL!!!

      I remember benching 225 for 3 reps before quitting the gym. Those were good days... Went from 180 to 225 in three months. Wasn't even taking protein powders. It was literally one of my bucket list top priorities. Lifting those four 45 lbs plates. And I'm super weak naturally. My wrists are only 2 inches wide and my hands are super small for a 6'1 guy, I'm talking girl size hands and wrists. Only God knows how I was able to curl the 45 lbs dumbells.

I mean isn't it a shame most people don't experience how powerful their body's can get. I truly believe we should all see how strong our bodies can get while were here on this planet. Why waste it.
