Thanks Nater, I have 3 of the s300. I like the camera but not all the false positive notifications. I’m going to upgrade to the pro based on your video. You are my go to for home internet and security cameras. Love the channel
It's good to see high quality AI learning and a lot of useful features in a consumer product like this. You covered all the features well. Question: You mentioned under the full features setting the system can send a text and afterwards an image. Does the home base text and transmit the message and image directly to your phone app or does it first go out on the LTE or hardwired internet and then to your phone? Thanks for the product demo, Nate.
It's actually a push notification to the Eufy app on your device. "Text" refers to it being just a text notification and then later (like 2-4 secs) that notification gets updated with a thumbnail pic. It goes through your home internet. You could setup texting through integration of eufy to a smart home system (home assistant, smartthings, homekit, etc)
I have the Eufy S220 outdoor camera facing the East and unfortunately in Michigan last year it didn't make it through the winter months on battery. I like the Eufy camera.
Hey Nate great Video as always! Just curious if you're gonna do a Video on the Chester Cheetah SDX75 Cellular Gateway/Modem? I ordered mine from Chester Tech Repairs and he told me you ordered one as well because I told him I used the $45.00 Dollar Off Coupon Code for mine. Just wanted to see if you plan on doing a Video on it eventually?
Thanks for the review! I have a quick question. It looks like you have the camera outside in your backyard, at a decent distance from your home. Is there a specific distance these cameras must be from the homebase? Have you had any issues with connectivity?
@jsac3939 yes, currently they only connect to the Home base directly via a wireless signal. Figure 50-100ft depending on walls/etc. Soon they will release firmware that alternatively allows them to use your home wifi signal if it's better.
my understanding is the homekit is tied in with the homebase for this setup but I'm not positive. I dont see clear documentation on it and I dont use homekit so I can't confirm it.
Hi Nater, hope you’re well mate. Just want to know what’s the max range of the camera from the router because I’m confused between Eufy S3 pro and Swann 4K long range. Hope to hear from you soon and big thank you for all your videos and explanation mate🙏 great work keep it up keep it up😊
The range varies by what blocks the signal or whats between the home base and the camera. It could be over 100ft away with minimal obstacles or as short as 30ft with multiple metal and stone obstacles. This can also use your home wifi so where ever you get wifi this can work too.
i heard a YTer say resolution was too compressed & grainy on all Eufy. Do u think its too compressed? Today, thinking of buying e340 to use as 24/7 recording & debating between 2 or 3 s330 or s220 for peripherals.
@latinreuben see the example footages starting arounf 21:40 and decide for yourself. In pitch dark it is grainy with ghosting but for any other cam it would literally be just black. With IR or lighting that goes away.

@@jasonschwab811 great to hear you like the channel! The radar on the pro certainly helps with false positives!
Might actually be time to try these cameras out it sounds like they’ve made some great improvements. Thanks for sharing.👍🏻👍🏻

@earlt911 yes it can depend on hrs of sunlight. Michigan isn't known as the sunshine state 🙂

can you remove all the watermarks and data from the video feed? can this be configured without internet access?
@neponel yes watermarks are optional. I'm not positive on internet access requirement for configuration.

Is their a wired version with same capabilities?
@MRSTEEL15 these can be wired to power but in general eufy uses wireless for data.
Can these cameras send 4k To my Synology Nas
@reneGOW that's a good question. They send 4k to the Eufy homebase. I know they support RTSP to NAS and I assume that supports 4k.
@@NaterTater Thanks so much for this information.
