Yes, I really miss them too, the engine sounds were amazing too idling and powering and moving, only thing I'd if a leaf gets into the engine it will catch fire that's what my friend told me

made me think. it's nearly been a year without them, 9 months without them. 9. But, there's GWR bringing a light at the end of the tunnel and if possible, try to catch a 175 movement to Papworth as there's only a few left. Time's ticking

although they're withdrawn from TfW and will be missed as TfW trains, as soon as the first GWR 175 enters service (next year 2025 I believe), I'm going to try and get a ride on it 😊

Oh right so if GWR do operate them they could be stored in Laira, Penzance or some other one, I wonder what it will look like in GWR livery

​@@MrMaguireLovesTrainsI think the first two are going to Laira this year for training. Someone on railforums said that they might initially stay white but with the red bits re-done in GWR green.

@@MrMaguireLovesTrains I've just had a look and yes that's it, just with the purple parts in GWR green!
it's only a suggestion for quickly "de-TfW-ising" them though. for 5 to 7 years of service (until GWR's fleet is IETs, 387s and brand new trains in 2029-2031), they'll probably end up in the full livery I would've thought.

they are going to GWR cardiff to penzance to free up the IETS coz them doing penzance to cardiff is making the fleet of IETS short for london trains

@SionsTrainVideos oh right, I can't wait to see then in GWR livery, I get the will do Cardiff to Penzance but because TfW used them on Express Passenger Services between Piccadilly and Milford Haven then they could at least extend the route to Swansea, then they can work along with IETs, that's why I'm hoping that when the line eventually gets electrified which isn't any time soon then I hope 387s will go as far as Swansea because they work Ealing Broadway to Cardiff services
