Just a quick question. You have a great looking tool box 👌just wondering if it’s metric or imperial? I’m just waiting for delivery of a 1974 midget and am trying to get bits together. Great videos by the way thanks for doing them 👍🏼
@@mguytv I know - I was being cheeky. I'm a lot older than you, and I spent many years sitting behind some pretty horrifying (to modern eyes) steering wheels. Some almost came to a chromium point in the middle! Cool little car you have there. I consider the Midget in some respects a latter-day Austin 7.... tiny, 2 seat, simple, canvas topped.
The horn is on a stalk not in the centre of the wheel, and my turn signal cancel has never worked!! That part is behind the wheel anyway. Motolita do a version for a centre horn press.
Now l know that was a proper MG didn't look like an MGB and it's a midget and the new steering wheel and gear shift know really set off the interior of your MG midget
Looks better than the original but only boats should have wooden steering wheels in my opinion
Tres complimentary. Very chic.

Thanks for watching! I think you’ll need mainly imperial for the Midget. Check out the forums on mgexp.com for some assistance.
Love it got to get one for my midget
That mota Lita wheel really shines in the Midget. I'm looking at getting one for mine. What size was yours 13" or 14"? You happy with the size ?
The new wheel was 14” - original was 15 - very happy with the size. I think 13 would probably make parking hard work…!
Nice one!
Thank you! Cheers!
I would love a steering wheel like that. But then I'd have to drive in a full-face helmet or fit a 4-point harness.
The old steering wheel didn’t have an airbag either… it’s an occupational hazard of older cars

What did you do so that the horn would work and that the turn signals would cancel. Please advise.

You sold the CL500? I’ve seen it on Carsales
It’s up for sale on consignment - not in any hurry to sell but just need to downsize a bit.
@@mguytv understand. Consignment is a good idea. I’ve never tried it before.

Many MG are being coverted to battery power via EV kits...very popular
