It really was pretty tough. There's 19 minutes of this which is like, twice as long as my other ones because I had too many clips. And of course you're in here, and of course that's nice :D There are some awesome highlights we had during Co Op missions. Stab-stab!

Hi Leo, I do like AC Unity, but there are some things I really miss in this game, like the grabbing, lifting bodies and hide them, the fist fights, the picking up weapons, the kick from the rooftops, the “freedom” of movement, and the throwing knives.
I feel the same. They took out a lot of mechanics I really enjoyed. The parkour especially is a downgrade but people have no clue what I mean when I say that because the animations are a little prettier.
Leo K [Rogue] someone needs to make a mod where you can assassinate in combat. Game would be 10x better immediately. Also, I may have found a new tech involving berserk blades. When in combat, I’ve found that smoking enemies and berserking them once triggers a double berserk overdose death, provided the enemy can be quickshotted with a phantom blade. I’ll have to do more testing, but combining this with combat tackle assassinations could allow for way faster speedrunning of fights with as many as 5-6 enemies engaging you that would be damn near impossible to deal with fighting normally, what with guards’ tendency to start pulling guns out more and more frequently at that point.
I didn't know it was a thing, I ended up getting a "Legendary Kill." Two double Assassinations and one normal in five seconds I presume. I had smoked a National Guard patrol of five. Something between 200-300 creed points. Very satisfying. What's not satisfying is Multiplayer being outright DEAD. Most of the daily 3-4 posts are "Roleplay." by kids, and just random searching for the Museum Heist, I quit searching after the timer hit 53:20 while watching UA-cam. My favorite thing is missions with other people. Damn it. Not even sure if you have Xbox, but damn I would've loved to have gone a level with your talent.
I'm late to the party, but your vids are quite enjoyable. Recently picked up Unity and the last time I felt this level of immersion in AC series was when I played AC3 on release... It's a shame that they changed everything about AC now, kinda wanna that cool stealthy stylish bastard feeling back ;(

It won't be exactly what we want, but it's enough to say they're moving the way they should be again. I'm sad Unity is such a broken game. It could've been so much more.

Hello Elmeti! You can definitely ask! "More enjoyable" is a very subjective topic. What is more enjoyable for me may not be more enjoyable for you, and vice versa. It also depends on what matters to you most whenever you're playing a game, and this can get very complicated and very messy, very fast. For me, Keyboard and Mouse will always feel better to play with in Unity than Controller. When I first played Unity, I played on a controller for two or three years. After that, I switched to Keyboard to try it out, and it was absolutely incredible. Such a huge difference in how much fun I was having, how easy and smooth everything felt, I had less bugs, less movement errors, the game listened to me more and was much less frustrating. Of course, everyone's experience will be different, but that was mine. ^__^

@@LeoKRogue I instinctively tried doing it a couple of times while playing around, but every time i press high profile Arno just smoothly leaves cover and that sadly translates into a normal high profile kill because i'm no longer hiding behind said cover. I will try to practice this one to see how consistent it can get. Thanks for the heads up !
Just started catching up to the AC games now. Stopped after Rogue and Unity is Definately solid. There are a few moments with the climbing that can be a bit jarring; but i Definately like how it encourages stealth. No clips really stand out since i think it's an easy game, all of them are in my opinion but maybe that's just my experience
Yup, Unity is honestly, in some ways, even easier than the rest of the series if you gain knowledge of how to play. A lot of these are relatively basic actions that, at the time this video was released, most of the community wasn't using enough for my liking. I wanted people to be able to enjoy this game more, so I started releasing footage to encourage certain approaches and build awareness of various mechanics. This wasn't enough for me so I eventually just made a guide of things I thought everyone should know. Now we're here. I wish Ubisoft would release a game similar to Unity in terms of stealth-focus and movement-tech. I think we could all stand to see that right now.

Syndicate is a bit of a joke compared to this in my opinion, still enjoyable but I think Unity is leages more engaging in different scenarios aswell as the ways you can fit a play style. I get reminded of the Ezio games while playing this, very reminiscent. 😋 Next game im looking forward to from Ubisoft is Skull & Bones. Which is basically AC Black Flag Naval Combat, but multiplayer; might be more to it now that it's being delayed to 2021+; but either way, I'll be happy.

Shooting any Assassination Target in Unity causes them to fall to the ground staying permanently at 1HP no matter what you do to them, with the game displaying a Notification that says: "Targets must be Assassinated using the Hidden Blade." You would then have to get up to them and stab them on the ground to truly end the Memory.
Dude I wish I was this good I know it's q compilation so it's all great stuff here but you're still very good at the game. My head just doesn't grasp it The little techniques giveaways things to look out for Glitches etc Ik always fucking getting caught. -_- That's when I truly feel like a pisspot
Keep watching different people's videos and practicing, but the main points are; - Use Smoke Bombs before running into an area of enemies to quickly kill several - Use Berserk Blade quickshots to stun single guards who are about to see you or stop them from moving when they're not looking at you. Run up to them and kill them. - If you get caught, quickly kill everyone using your items, or drop smoke and disappear again. - THE BIGGEST ONE: Don't be afraid of overusing items. It's better to learn how to use them to easily clear areas than to save them for 'later.'
Unities combat system is really good if for the new ge they take inspiration from unity for the combat and revelations for the new game that would be epuc because the stealth element is really quick but when u engage in full on combat with the gaurds then it becomes pretty sluggish overall its a really good combat system just needed some more time to develop
I would've definitely liked to see it be faster and more responsive. Ghost of Tsushima on Lethal difficulty is very close to what they tried to achieve with Unity, just a lot smoother. I hope they learn from that one day.
Yes ghost of tsushimas combat can be quite faster than unity im really looking to the rumored china game to have a mix of revelations and unity combat in it it would sort of make sense to for a chimese assasin to be quick and not what we saw in origins odyssey and vallhalla nothing wrong with those games especially because i haven't played vallhalla yet but to me the combat seems very arcade like at first it was good but started getting stale very fast it would be great if they go back to the roots of assasins creed with a modern story line and all that
When you delete a game but after a few days you watch a video about the game and now you regret deleting the game Context : we dont have fast wifi so games higher than 5 gb was pretty much impossible to download in a single day let alone 30 minutes so i would save my games until the very end so when i want to play them i just launch the executable
I wouldn't say so. It still has a lot of stealth-related issues that have not been fixed. If you want to play it as a Melee fighter or a Stealth Archer, and never get close to enemies, it's not so bad, and you can probably enjoy the story if you care about the First Civilization plot of Assassin's Creed. It also wraps up the 'era' of Assassin's Creed from AC1-Valhalla, so it's a great place to finish and then leave the series.
one of the things that dosen't make any sense that i only saw FAR CRY 3 doing right is the fact that the protaganest just kills people with no feeling at all, like dude you expect them to respawn or what. like these guards have a family, a wife, children, maybe he's raising money to save he's mother. in FAR CRY 3 the protaganest gets scared of what he's done when he puts a knife in someone's throat for the first time, then when you progress into the story it becomes a normal thing to him but even enjoys it more than anything. like arno here, is barly 21 i think. and he's all like: hippity hoppity your throat is now my property it just dosen't make any sense at all to me
All videogames which involve conflict have this ludonarrative dissonance, with few exceptions. It's not a new thing at all, it's been around since gaming was around. There are a few notable games like The Last of Us in which killing people is an emotionally taxing act for its characters, as well as immersive sims like Dishonored in which careless killing shifts the state of the world to be darker and worse to live in. Undertale is another great example.
First you have to Snap-to-Cover like normal, then when Arno is in Cover, get to the edge and make sure the enemy isn't too far away. Hold High Profile (the Run button) while standing still, then press Assassinate to leap out a pretty far distance and take out the enemy in one smooth movement. This move makes noise and is very visible, but useful sometimes.

After playing this game again I am in love with it. Know I understand why side missions are important they are interesting man.
There's a lot of life and intrigue in the Paris Stories, for sure.
Tbh I always feel emotionally dissatisfied when I kill a a target with anything other than a hidden blade in stealth.
That's possibly why Unity forces Hidden Blade kills on Targets in this game.

High Profile Cover Kill with the enemy's back toward you, yeah. There's a chance to get that animation under those conditions.

No Movement input. Snap to Cover. Hold High Profile while leaving stick/WASD alone. Tap Assassinate. ^__^

Yeah, they're guarding the Chests in the area. And you can Choke right from the beginning, before you're even taught it. Just hold O/B/E

That's when I truly feel like a pisspot
Keep watching different people's videos and practicing, but the main points are;
- Use Smoke Bombs before running into an area of enemies to quickly kill several
- Use Berserk Blade quickshots to stun single guards who are about to see you or stop them from moving when they're not looking at you. Run up to them and kill them.
- If you get caught, quickly kill everyone using your items, or drop smoke and disappear again.
- THE BIGGEST ONE: Don't be afraid of overusing items. It's better to learn how to use them to easily clear areas than to save them for 'later.'

Unity actually forced you to improve your skills in Parkour, Stealth and Combat. Unlike most games in the series. It really is Core Assassins Creed.
AC1, Brotherhood, Unity. My favorites.
Unities combat system is really good if for the new ge they take inspiration from unity for the combat and revelations for the new game that would be epuc because the stealth element is really quick but when u engage in full on combat with the gaurds then it becomes pretty sluggish overall its a really good combat system just needed some more time to develop
I would've definitely liked to see it be faster and more responsive. Ghost of Tsushima on Lethal difficulty is very close to what they tried to achieve with Unity, just a lot smoother. I hope they learn from that one day.
Yes ghost of tsushimas combat can be quite faster than unity im really looking to the rumored china game to have a mix of revelations and unity combat in it it would sort of make sense to for a chimese assasin to be quick and not what we saw in origins odyssey and vallhalla nothing wrong with those games especially because i haven't played vallhalla yet but to me the combat seems very arcade like at first it was good but started getting stale very fast it would be great if they go back to the roots of assasins creed with a modern story line and all that
When you delete a game but after a few days you watch a video about the game and now you regret deleting the game
Context : we dont have fast wifi so games higher than 5 gb was pretty much impossible to download in a single day let alone 30 minutes so i would save my games until the very end so when i want to play them i just launch the executable

I wouldn't say so. It still has a lot of stealth-related issues that have not been fixed.
If you want to play it as a Melee fighter or a Stealth Archer, and never get close to enemies, it's not so bad, and you can probably enjoy the story if you care about the First Civilization plot of Assassin's Creed. It also wraps up the 'era' of Assassin's Creed from AC1-Valhalla, so it's a great place to finish and then leave the series.

one of the things that dosen't make any sense that i only saw FAR CRY 3 doing right is the fact that the protaganest just kills people with no feeling at all, like dude you expect them to respawn or what. like these guards have a family, a wife, children, maybe he's raising money to save he's mother.
in FAR CRY 3 the protaganest gets scared of what he's done when he puts a knife in someone's throat
for the first time, then when you progress into the story it becomes a normal thing to him but even enjoys it more than anything.

All videogames which involve conflict have this ludonarrative dissonance, with few exceptions. It's not a new thing at all, it's been around since gaming was around.
There are a few notable games like The Last of Us in which killing people is an emotionally taxing act for its characters, as well as immersive sims like Dishonored in which careless killing shifts the state of the world to be darker and worse to live in. Undertale is another great example.

First you have to Snap-to-Cover like normal, then when Arno is in Cover, get to the edge and make sure the enemy isn't too far away.
Hold High Profile (the Run button) while standing still, then press Assassinate to leap out a pretty far distance and take out the enemy in one smooth movement.
This move makes noise and is very visible, but useful sometimes.
