Any old heads remember Lawn Darts? My family still had a rusty set when I was a kid growing up in the early 90's....The ER visits must have been epic 😂
Not an older person, but I do know what those are. Jarts. My dad had a set when he was growing up. I didn't believe they existed until my grandma found them in the attic and tried selling them in a yard sale.
I am 22 so I obviously missed out on that but my dad has a small dent behind his right ear from getting hit in the head by one of those things!! He was just sitting around in a field with some other people who were playing with those and all of a sudden he got nailed in the side of the head. His crazy a** didn’t even go to the hospital he just slept off whatever gnarly concussion he most certainly had. Still has a small dent in his head that you can feel. I’m so thankful to even have been conceived hearing about the crazy shit my dad got up to growing up, especially around my age.

I did the hand thing on the dartboard and the throwing darts at each other but in the 80s we had the best toys to kill each other w/ ever.... YARD DARTS. I still have scars from playing w/ them as a kid.... 😂😂

@JoshWolfComedy I was born in 85 & man, things were soooo different in the 80's & 90's! My 8 yr old STILL has to ride in a car seat (not just a booster seat) because they've changed the laws....I miss the days of less technology. I just want my kids to have the same fun memories I had growing up. Maybe once I can afford the VR oculus for them they'll at least get some exercise! 😆
The garden at my grandparents in the fall would grow these stalks that resemble something like bamboo. When you pull them up and shake the dirt off there was a sharp point and we would chuck them at eachother
That dart game sounds like something my friends and I would have done for sure if we thought of it
The darts in the middle of the night is funny .. my cousin and I got bags of rubber bands and shot at each other in the dark room lol 😂 the big red thick ones hahaha

BB gun wars, pillow fights with a few D batteries in there, rock fights with trashcan lids for shields, anything to hurt your best friends and siblings was fun. That's why the older generations are so tough and don't quit

Dude when I was 14 in 1984 my best friends who were twin brothers who had a pool table in there basement back in Chicago and we used to play pool and we drank and sometimes the lights would go out and when that happened I hid under the pool table cause these two guys as soon as the lights went out they could throw pool balls at each other they were both weightlifters and I weight in at 115 soaking wet so if one of those ball hit me I would be dead and these guys were throwing the pool balls as hard as they could at each other in there parents basement. Luckily no serious injury ever came about but you think your storys scarey not until the pool balls start flying in front of your face. We didn’t have darts but we did have was hair spray and a lighter. Also bc we were crazy poor we had kerosene heaters & the fact I didn’t burn the house down is still shocking. My sister did end up with 2nd & 3rd degree burns when she was 17 but that was bc she got drunk and fell into a bonfire her friends had built.
We had a wood stove and was responsible for keeping it going when my parents were gone. Parents would never do that now.
P.S. The hairspray and lighter mention brought back fond memories lol
@@allielynn4511 we had a wood stove for awhile too, but wood got to expensive. We were too poor for a computer, gaming console or cable, & I was always home alone; a bored, unsupervised kid is a a dangerous kid.

Grew up on a peninsula that had some beaches and some chalky cliff-ish (70° - 80°) about 25 - 30 meters high, I would ride my bike to the top, clamber/slide/fall down and then crawl my way back up...get home and my mother was all "WTF?!?!?" I did it to deliberately piss her off, I was 13, it was 1979
I bet the stains were almost impossible to get out.
