• Stryper - Always There...
STRYPER --Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace, Encouragement and Righteousness.”
Love your excitement for Stryper! I grew up with that band along with other great 80's band...loved them all!! But When I first heard Stryper from their Yellow and Black attack album, they instantly became my number one band and Michael my number one singer!! They went through alot of bad criticisms from Mtv and fellow Christians. They were the forefront of Christian metal and truly fought battles in God's name and conquered. Proud to say I attended their "To Hell with the Devil and In God We Trust" concerts..👍
Full tilt, Dawkins scale 5 Atheist. But do i sing my ass off to "Makes Me Wanna Sing" ? Yes i do. "JEEEEEERSUUUUSSS MAKES ME WANNA SING!"
I loved stryper from the 80s. Saw them in concert To hell with the devil. Check out their latest single Transgressor. It will knock your socks off. Also another Christian rock band from the 70s to check out is REZ band. a.k.a. Resurrection band
I will definitely have to check that out! Thank you so much for informing me and if you like my content maybe consider subscribing.
👍👍👍👍
I like your reaction, very energetic, also, is Stryper, great choice.
UmmmThey WERE CRAZY SUCCESSFUL
Saw them on january twentieth nineteen eighty seven. They were great
Sounds like a dream
What the youth of today call cringe, we call classic. And you cannot argue that it was real music. Real instruments and no Auto tune.
Ive recently found this music and immediately search for the reactions. Your reaction is almost exactly as mine, what a banger
search up their discography on google and listen from there. their new stuff from 2013 to present is the best imo
Sadly these were the types of songs that sunk Stryper from being considered a serious metal band the album soldiers under command was fantastic as good as any band or better. Stryper is and was capable of playing great metal songs . Like the way surrender Yahweh the valley more than a man etc
Love em. Sound great live too
One of my dreams is to see Stryper live
Not to sound negative but you should do a bit of research on Stryper.
S- salvation
T- through
R- Redemption,
Y- Yielding
P- Peace,
E- Encouragement and
R- Righteousness
The verse Isaiah 53:5 was coincidental.
Also, they NEVER labeled themselves as a “Christian” band, they are a rock band consisting of Christians.
If you get an opportunity, see them live. They are amazing. Also, check out some of the newer albums: No More Hell to Pay, Fallen, GDE, and Even the devil believes. All of them are awesome.
Like I said, not trying to sound negative, they’re my favorite band and if you react to one of their songs, you should know some information about them
They are my favorite band as well, my Mom saw them live back in the 80s at youth camp, I have their newest album even the devil believes! I've seen their documentary and all the interviews where they talk about how they were saved! I've actually heard them talk about that verse and how they used it to come up with their name! That verse was on everything and that's how they picked their name they were going to do it Striper but changed the "I" to a "Y" so it would be like Hyper! You can't tell me they didn't label themselves as Christian because they were literally on a Christian record label as well as the fact that they literally threw Bibles out into the crowd during their shows! Part of the reason they didn't become so big was because they were Christian! It's the same thing for Idle Cure! They would have been respected and revered by so many more people but a lot of people push them aside because they were a Christian band!
@@k_man_raps Yep 👍 the verse was definitely part of the name creation process. Seems the acronym must have been an afterthought... like “Hey, let’s try and think up a dope acronym for our new name, Stryper.”
Stryper's name came from the word HYPER and stripes. it was turned into an acronym later
