@FitGirl15
To all the people who are suffering from bell's palsy I recommend you to eat broccoli for every meal, cut a ginger into pieces, boil it, then drink 5 times or more. 2 tablets of fish oil omega3 per day, 2 tablets of vit b12 200mcg-1000mcg per day and also a lot of rest is needed. I'm also suffering from bells palsy and this is my 12th day and I'm 80% okay now. I think by 3 weeks of maintaining these kind of treatment, we can fully recovered from bell's palsy. Always pray because God is always there for us.
How are you now?
After 11 years, now I'm back on this video haha
Had Bell's Palsy a decade ago and these exercises helped heaps for my bp recovery. Bp lasted for a month a half at that time and Bell's Palsy can really get to you if you experience it the first time.
Now my Bell's Palsy has reoccurred, it started last week and I'm on my second week now. Saw improvements around my eye and a little movement around my nose. Glad i can find your videos here on youtube everytime i do my exercises every morning and night. Thank you a lot.
Note for others: If it's your first time having a bells palsy, please go directly to your nearest eent and take all the prescribed medicines for your ears and some steroids for Bell's Palsy. AND religiously take all your medicines and these exercises ofcourse.
Do hot compress on your face every morning and every night. It'll help your blood to circulate well. And take a rest.
I had bell's palsy on the right side of my face during the winter and I thought it was an ear infection at first until I woke up the next day with half of my face frozen. I immediately did research on what it could possibly be and found out at the doctor's the next day. As soon as I knew what I was dealing with I searched for the most effective remedies online that would quickly get rid of this nightmare. Out of everything that worked from day 3 I took L-Lysine tablets 1500 mg, which was one and a half tabs, MSM 500 mg, B vitamins but in the form of methylcobalamin you can find at vitamin shops, so not the walmart kind. Also I ate omega 3 fish oil tablets, and avoided any foods high in sugar, any nuts, grapes, or chocolate because they are known to aggravate the condition. Within 3 weeks I was at about 85% recovered and 2 months completely healed. I'm not saying this regimen will work for everyone but with faith and a positive attitude it worked for me. Hope this helps anyone suffering.
DOD you also take the medication given by the dr?
Hello Thank you for your tip. I have a question. What daily dosage of each
L-Lysine
B vitamin
Fish oil
Same thing happened to me yesterday. Oops I ate grapes today
I had bell palsy 3 weeks ago and it was both side. Then watching your videos kinda made me depressed for how long your bell palsy. But now I had already recovered 95%.
My case is amongst the normal duration of recovery... 1 month to a year.
So happy to hear that yours was quick to recover! Having both sides paralyzed would be very difficult to manage for 1 year!!!
3 weeks ago and 95% better. I am so encouraged with this. I was told it may take 3-6 months. I just got it 3 days ago. I am a teacher and am feeling a little intimidated to face my students and colleagues. It's worse when I try to drink and eat and my affected eye has been hurting a lot.
I was just diagnosed with Bell's Palsy one week ago (April 23, 2015) and have been watching your video journey....it is helping to know there is hope. (Could not find a local support group, so it is great to have UA-cam!).
I did not get any facial exercise from the ER neurologist and was beginning to think I should be doing more than just taking the steroids/antiviral meds the Dr put me on.
It is 6 weeks until my follow up apt, so that feels like a LONG time until I can ask my Dr about exercises.
In the meantime, It REALLY helps to know that it is not necessary to plow right into to exercises/massage. This eases my mind a lot. Thank you!
PS One odd symptom I have that I have not heard about from anyone else is that my left eye (my Bell's is on the left side of my face) is blurry. I have an apt with an eye specialist (opthamologist) next week, but it is hard not knowing if this is normal for some people with Bells. I am wearing an eye patch and using Lacrilube eye oinment at night (as per your video which is great) and using the eye drops during the day, to keep my eye from drying out. Doing the best I can, as I am very new to all of this. I want to recover fully, so trying to be careful with stress, etc. as well.
I've got bell's palsy last May 20, 2015....
And now I'm happy that I'm fully recovered for 1 month only... My left face is now moving back to normal..
Thanks for the video, the therapy you've teach really helps me a lot...
And thanks to God for helping me :)
Irene M. How much time u took to get better ?
Irene M. How much times we need to do excercise in a day.please help
Jishnu Balan I had mine in November 2011 but the around May 2012 I had Synkenisis after I thought I was back to normal. Just be careful not to be exposed to drafts or cold.
what you do?
did you used Medicine pills ؟
q8_vip2 I didn’t take medicine. However, I had acupuncture sessions
Thank u so much for posting this...I have had Bels for 5 years, YES 5 yrs!!! LOL!!! I still do exercises. I am about 97% cured. My eye still gives me problems, it looks lazy...especially when Im tired. OH and when the weather changes. So I still do exercises and massages. Im glad you posted this because after so long I was doing my own thing and I really need to follow the correct way
Thanks again
How are you doing now?
Hi. Was just diagnosed 2 days ago. Not as severe as yours was in the beginning but I am very grateful I found your exercises. Have first acupuncturist appointment on Tuesday. I allowed myself one day of pure rest but today is pro-active starting with your exercises. Congratulations on your progress and many, many thanks for sharing your experience. I hope you know how calming your message is and how helpful your messages are whether they are about your journey, vitamins or exercises. My best, Roseann, Brooklyn, NY.
I had Bell's Palsy for just over 4 weeks and after following these excercises from UA-cam video as well as going through Chinese Acupuncture sessions and physiotherapy I have recovered over 85% at the left side of my face now! I thank +FitGirl15 for making this useful video !!!!
Hallo there. May I know what happen to your face after Bell's Palsy? Do you get one of your eyes smaller than another? Thank you :) Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Thank you so much for making this video. I just watched it with my 8 year old daughter who was diagnosed with Bells Palsy today. We are optimistic she will make a full recovery and we are so grateful that we have information like the video you provided to help us make this transition into life with bells. God bless! You're gorgeous!
These excercises have been a massive help to me. I am on day 6 and can at last see some improvement. A big thank you for your help.
I had bell's palsy 4 years ago (2009) and it took me a while to recover, even now my facial expressions aren't the same and these facial exercises helped me by a lot, I can feel my face loosen up and I can smile just a little better.
I just wanted to thank you for these videos. I'm 26 and 2 weeks ago suffered a stroke so I don't have Bell's palsy but I have left side paralysis on my face arm and leg but my face bothers me most. It is also the worst affected area. I have been doing these exercises for a week now and I truly think they have helped. So again, thank you.
Thanks for the video! I was in my 4th day diagnosed of bell's palsy and praise God your videos had helped me praying and hoping for faster recovery so I can go back to teaching . :( ;) God bless stay strong
I also got it was my 3rd day ...
@@sabrezalam61 sending prayers for you ma'am. You will heal in time. I'm just 80-90% healed now and it's almost 4 years in this but I can say it's doing better . Hoping for your full recovery. Just avoid stress even how inevitable it is. Eat healthy foods, consult your doctor if what case is your bp now(mild, moderate, severe) if ever there's still a need for a physical therapy or not. Keep your hopes up,you'll be fine. There's a light at the end of the tunnel.😉💚😘
I was diagnosed with Bell's palsy last Saturday (a day after I got married). Your video is a real help. The doctor gave me some prednisone and it has been helping. I now am starting to feel my face and it feels stiff. So these exercises will be a really big help.
hey i got this bell's palsy disease in mid 2013. I panicked at that time. Long story short, I started to do some research on the internet. And then, i saw this video to learn the exercises to treat my case. So, i came here to say thanks, it had helped me a lot :)
you're so right about the stress thing, I got this facial nerve thing, and it was during a very stressful moment, now a week later, with some medication, I am getting so better, but the thing is when I started some stress relief practices, results are getting so better so faster, massage, vacation, letting go of some worries, all coming very useful, a piece of advise for everyone with Bell's palsy and other symptoms of stress, give yourself a bit of relaxation every now and then, life is not worth that loads of stress.
I have had Bells 5 days, and I have to tell you that most things on internet are informative but everything is speculative. That's scary!!! I recommend everyone to first see a DR before trying or doing any treatments. To think of permanent nerve damage because you see a you tube video showing a person trying hard repeatedly to close eyelid damaging the natural flow or doing facial exercises repeatedly overextending facial muscles which could lead to Synkinesis . Each case of Bells palsy is exclusive to each person. I know this In most case stress is a major factor, Stay positive Relax see a Dr and have patience. I hope everyone a full 100% recover. Bells+5
I get BP back in 96 but even though my face has straightened, I still don't have full movement. Probably Simitar to your recovery.as you also don't wrinkle on your forehead on your affected side when you frown. I don't think I'll get full recovery but I was looking for exercises to help relieve the tightness I feel in my face when the weather gets cold. And these exercises do help, so thank you. You're looking great. I really send strength to those people who've just been diagnosed it's a scary thing, but keep on fighting it with the steroids your doctor prescribes and exercise even though it hurts. Acupuncture also helped me regain some movement.
My mom is 57 year old and diagnosed today with bell's palsy
I watched this vedio and i will teach her how to do the exercise
Thank you so much for your effort
Be gentle on her! Exercises won't reconnect her nerves! Please give her condition time to stabilize before adding even more stress to her life! XOXOX
I will ,, thnq for ur advise
Azhar Saleh Hi .my grandma is like this girl ,does your mother eat ?becouse mine doesn't eat any thing there's no good doctor here could you answer me💔
you are welcome. It made me sad that the doctor, neuro, family, nose an throat, did not have those therapy. Bp affects your psyque, each time you look at yourself in the mirror it is a nightmare so the massage helped both, the face and psyque and again I am glad you did the video.
Hi my Bells Palsy initially occurred on 5/21/19. What I did- was watch your videos & others related to Bell’s palsy exercises, massage, nutrition etc here on UA-cam & applied those concepts. I did the facial exercises/massage videos I saw here & other UA-cam pages 2x/day & was consistent. I increased my vitamin b6& b12 supplement intake. In addition I started taking a Turmeric & Ginger combo supplement that I got @ Whole foods for inflammatory response. I began eating clean,Whole Foods. Similar to whole 30/paleo concepts.Initially in the emergency room the physician prescribed steroids & antiviral medication which I took & completed. In addition I started Accupunture as of the 1st week & went 1 x/week for 6 sessions. Even after the 1st session my coworkers noticed a difference.I am now 100% recovered 🙏🏼🙏🏼😬.I would say about week 5-6 is when I felt more “ normal”.Your positive motivation in your videos was very helpful. Since trying to reduce stress & remain positive is very important during recovery time. Since every person is different & each incident is different it’s always best to consult w/your physician.Thank you
Hi, I am a physiotherapist and I am loving these exercises. You do have to know that especially in the beginning you have to stretch the affected side but also massage the non-affected side (because you overstimulate that side because the affected side cannot move) otherwise your face can become crooked. And when you feel that the muscle activity is coming back after a few days/weeks, then do the exercises on both sides!
can u please guide that in first few days one should massage the affected side or normal side?
Mehwish Amin you should massage both sides and stretch the affected side
Glad i found this video thank you for sharing. And for everyone with Bell 's Palsy i hope you guys recovery.
Thx 💜
I am student of physiotherapy...i think this is important...and thank you very much.. you are kind enough to share with others your experiences and observations about the illness even when you're suffering from the illness.
Thank you so much for posting this video..my girlfriend got bells paulsy a few days ago and she is a very hard worker and has lots of goals that she wants to achive ...it breaks my heart seeing her go through this because she is a very good person and cares alot about others before she cares for her self..
I agree. Stay positive, but if you are frustrated and need to cry, just do it!
Remember, this is ONLY a temporary set back! Life goes ON!!!
I LOVE ur down-to-earth attitude. U are very BEAUTIFUL person inside and out! Continue all the aspirations and perseverance u share! We all can learn a thing or more from u!
This was one of the best videos I've watched on Bell's. Thank you!
When I watched this video a year ago, I was trying to learn all the muscles in the body by associating them with an exercise. I did not think that I would find anything until I found your video.
At first I laughed thinking yeah right! Well I went through your video 3 times and the next day my face felt like someone used it as a punching bag! OMG my face muscles hurt!
As I said a year ago, "Well Done!"
Really great exercises after recovering from bimaximally jaw surgery. Helpful in reducing muscle tightness. Many thanks.
Thank you for showing these exercises. I've had BP for about a week now and fortunately it's not as severe a case as you have--in the past week blinking has become easier and I can actually make the horse sound with my lips and puff out the cheek, which is a vast improvement. I can now eat certain foods without it feeling like I've sprained my tongue. These exercises can only help.
im having bell's palsy since few days back and still fighting....😐bless me....thank you for the video,im following the same exercise...
Awsome video! Thank u for being a blessing to others and not just keeping this information to yourself. I pray and believe for your 100% healing! Thank you SO much! How encouraging!!!!
The one lifting with the hands looks like tanaka facial massage, praying for the recovery of all bp people, bless
Thank you for making this video.
I got BP 6 weeks after giving birth to my firstborn, on vacation in Italy. My mom prevented me to go to the hospital, said it would pass. I went to the hospital back in Norway but got an newbie who didn't know what to do. So I never received proper medication or treatment.
This was 8.5 years ago 😯 and it took at least 6 yrs for best recovery. But I look like a monster on photos 😯 unless I work really hard on getting the right angle and expression to disguise my BP. I lost the smile I always got compliments for.
But I will try the exercises and keep my fingers crossed that it will give me 100 % recovery of my face muscles. Now I am 90 % recovered but still miss smiling.
hi, i got BP on 9th January 2013 and it is amost gone now, i am grateful to all the videos posted here and wish all the sufferers a quick recovery, i am one of the lucky once who have recovered in under one month do not loose hope, be patient and do your exercises religiously
Hi my bells palsy hit me 5 years and 4 months ago. Its not fully recovered and ive been on a truly emotional rollercoaster. 3 brow lifts on and a possible attempt at a 4 th... Botox helps with the spasms, tightness. Stretching exercises are a massive relief and are really worth keeping up. Dont give up anyone out there keep trying with exercises.
Hi Debbie .. Was just reading through Jessica's posts & haunted at yours , I've never reading anyone having a brow lifts before .. Would be interested to learn more?! X ☺️
Haulted .. Sorry , dam phone lol
+Debbie Finch THANK YOU so much for sharing your experiences here! I hope you can share more details with others who may also be considering brow lifts and Botox as a means of therapy! Your encouragement also means a lot, during this difficult time! But knowing that you have found the exercises to be extremely helpful does give us all a light at the end of the tunnel!
Much love and healing to you!
have u tried accupuncture
Hi all hope you are doing well. Yes I've tried acupuncture quite early on and a treatment called caci putting little electric currents across yr face, a bit like a tense machine. I thought maybe I could wake up my face. To be honest I was pretty desperate to try anything as16 weeks on there were no improvements. A year on and I was offered an endoscopic brow lift, looked great to start and then dropped quite soon. A little over another year on and a fugli brow lift was done for me, again it was a great result but it just hasn't lasted. 5 yrs on and I can genuinely say that massage and facial exercises really do help. The botox is such a relief as I get tight spasms across my chin and down my kneck. I use little pieces of clear body tape to help hold up my brow up when I put make up on, I've found it to be like an instant brow lift but without the pain of surgery... It would be great to hear if anyone knows of anything else that may help, take care and stay positive. Xx
I woke up yesterday morning with BP and I was worried because I have never heard of it. I am definitely gonna do these massages all day everyday. Praying for your recovery!
My bells palsy was about a year ago and I still have tension sometimes, I also have a second nerve condition through a second set of facial nerves that shoot pain through my face (not all the time, just on occasion). This condition is trigeminal neuralgia. I take back often for that which is a nerve/muscle relaxer as needed only. Having a set of homeopathic exercises us always a best first option. I just tried these exercise, even the stupid ones and they have loosened up my face. I wish I had seen your video a year ago, or got the same paperwork you have. I massaged my face a lot on my own and it always help my face feel better. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, FitGirl15, I´m from Guatemala and I have Bell´s Palsy about a week and watching all your videos is helping me so much, thanks a lot.
Having come down with Bell's Palsy four weeks ago... this has been the most helpful of anything that I have seen... thank you so much for having the p[atience and presence of mind to share your own journey with this malady. It is a very distrubinbg and frustating experience, but your efforts have helped me... I will use the exercises your shared. Thank you truly Jessica!
Susie
I got Bells Palsey on the right side of my face about 5 years ago, I really can't remember how long it took to fully recover and it left me with a somewhat crooked smile and seems the eye never was the same...A month ago I came down with shingles on the left side of my scalp, face, neck and eye, which then brought on Bells Palsey again only now the left side... Having the shingles with this brought on extreme pain.. My daughter sent me your video which helped me not feel so alone... My heart felt prayers go out to you an anyone with this condition....oops it says my husbands name at the top hahaha no he didn't get it.... yep the wife....
I am an acupunturist dealing with bells palsy. These Exercises will help my patients . Thanks and god bless u
Thank you so much for the exercises! I had bells palsy 2 years ago and I did 13 sessions of acupuncture with massages every so often and I got my face back for the most part only difficulty is my eye closes when I smile but I'm still working towards my recovery ! (:
You can reteach your facial muscles to fire a different way now, with practice! Looking into a mirror and make funny faces, sometimes the face you thought you were making isn't that face anymore... But you can retrain your brain to make the correct looks! Good Luck!
thanks a lot. This helps. i just got it last week and even though i joke about it its been tough. mostly trying to keep my eye from drying out i can deal with half my mouth not working correctly. its my eye nit closing all the way way that get to me
I feel you. I love to smile. And now when I try it kills me mentally. And because I don't smile people think I'm giving them dirty looks but I'm not I'm squinting to stop my eye from twitching very uncomfortable.
Thank you so much for posting this video. I was in so much pain and been recently diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. You video helped me relief from pain to some extend. I'm still at the beginning phase n shock why this happened. Last Sunday is was fine n after I wokeup from nap is started having issue with my face. It changed my whole world around me..
I was diagnosed about 8 days ago and found your videos immediately. They are so helpful and I am already getting my eyebrow to lift. Thanks so much for all your information and great videos
Thanks for putting these clips together, I'm only a couple of months out from having my acoustic neuroma surgically removed alongside the neuro team damaging my facial nerve, now I have palsy, thanks docs. I've only just started doing these exercises, hopefully they'll help
Fit G, your videos helped me over the 5 months I had it...your a superstar. Thanks so much, I have recovered 99% but still have a burning sensation in eye. All your videos kept me so optimistic, thnx again.
Thank you for the warning. The best advice I've received this week was someone told me to find a reason to laugh and smile every single day, because that exercises muscles too.
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Form Colombia South America. I have BP 2 days ago. I learn your excercises. Reallu thank you!
Thank you! I watched one of your other videos 1 week in, then saw your caution re starting too early. I held off, and now am ready. My doc strongly suggested visiting the eye doc for baseline pix to chart changes/damage from dry eye. At the least, eye should be taped at night. My doc stitched eye closed (nearly) and it remained that way for 2 weeks and a day. Not pretty or fun, but quite a relief..like having a sling for a broken arm.
Thank you again for all of your time and effort !!
Hi fit girl just wanted to say thank you, I don’t know if you will ever read this but I had Bell’s palsy 6 years ago and your videos have been very inspiring. I hope your doing well.
I just found out i have Bells, just woke up with it. I wanted to thank you for your video, the puffer fish one is one I'll work for. You look great, and I will keep practicing. Thank so much!
Thank you so much for the video! my sister recently got Bell's Palsy. This video will definitely help her and thank you so much, i am very pleased. I do saw your initial video and all I can is that you are a very Brave woman. I can't wait to show this to my sister. Thank you :)
Thank u so much for sharing these exercises. They helped me a great deal. All the best with your recovery :)
I've had PB all of my life, since I was little I'll be 50 in 6 months. I just accepted that I had it, and that was that. No one ever told me about the facial exercises. I really want to try and get well too. Since I read that you loose hearing. I have been deaf too, right along with the PB on my left side. Thanks for posting this video.
Hello I'm 18, and i just got diagnosed with bell's palsy. I think that these exercises are really helpful. Thank you
I have Ramsay Hunt II which has a more difficult prognosis than Bells. It has the same components as Bells with CN7, but with several added issues because of CN8 involvement. I am more than 4 weeks into it and have no recovery at this point. These exercises are wonderful to see demonstrated. My EENT does not want me to do anything but wait for a year to see what happens. Not an acceptable treatment regimen so I need to be proactive. - You posted this 5 years ago, I hope your recovery is 100%. You are lovely and thanks for your kindness to help.
have you recovered?
this video is amazing, i pretty much watch this vid every day to help my recovery and it feels wonderful on my face
First 2 weeks were very hard but afterwards all the exercises pays off. I recovered in 1 month to the point that you wouldnt recognize it. Its 3 years now and there is no sign after it. The best moment I had during all of this is when I get back to whistling. :) It made me so happy that I was able to whistle again!!!
Did you take any medication
@@jessieuzodinma7951 only vitamins, B1,B6,B12 good luck 🍀
I noticed My face drooping because I was on Zoom and I had a strange drooping smile. So I googled it and well I didn't have stroke symptoms but I did have all the Bell's Palsy ones. Thanks so much for this video as well as the pdf. I didn't realize how if I did these my face would actually hurt at first from the so everything in moderation right. But thanks so much and this is helpful. I am glad of Zoom for seeing this and catching as soon as I did.
Thank you for being so kind hope I spelled right, to share all your treatment with all of us, not everyone has the fortune to pay a therapy, all around the worl your an angel sent by God, may God bless you and may God let you heal permanently.
I got Bells Palsy when I was 3 years old and it never went away. The doctors never told me to do exercises but I think its because they thought it would go away on its own. Since i grew up with Bells Palsy it never bothered me and it confused me when people asked about it (because i forgot i even had something wrong haha) Now that I am older I've decided I could work on the exercises. Your videos are helpful.
Thank You! I have been diagnosed with Bell's palsy yesterday. I will try these exercises and the patch video was super helpful!
Just had Bell's palsy 3 days ago, your video is very helpful to me thank you very much
Before going to sleep, I felt a terrible pain in my jaw... like I had just been punched. But I managed to fall asleep despite it. I then woke up less then 7 hours later, with a pretty severe case of BP.
But as I've been researching, I know that onset is very different for everyone!
Thanks for posting this, I got diagnosed two weeks ago with BP and these exercises have been very helpful!
Thanks for the vid I have had this condition for a year and a half and its been a challenge to say the least. Wishing all a good recovery

Thank you so much for posting this, bell's just hit me Friday night 10/29/18, and I'm freaking out as I am getting married in February and I know it can last up to six months so anything I can do to speed recovery I'm up for!!!
So glad you were the one to pop up when I first searched BP... I'm on day 3... Having a lot of issues with the eyes.. Irritated, dry, not sure what's going on with them but I'm going to try to keep watching your videos, maybe you have one on eyes and how you dealt with them :). You are very inspirational .. Thank god for you :)
Thanks for posting your walk and exercises it's sure helps. You are a blessing to others. Thanks again.
I have had bells palsy my entire life and will have it until i die. It was a birth defect and i've struggled with bullying throughout school because of it. I am so jealous that all these people have it temporarily, i would do anything to have that chance
thank you and I will definitely be doing these. I have had this miserable illness for one month now. I pray it goes away soon
thanks very good lesson. have BP for three months now with no improvement. hope this helps. also your left eye is starting to blink a bit unlike your other video. YOUR HEALING !!! Awsome!!!! thanks again
Hello FitGirl15!
I got this sickness facialispares only 4 days ago. It started with my tounge had no feeling and no taste, and my right eye got very wet with much tears that never stopped. But I let it go and didn't bother more about this.
But next day it had gone worse and my mouth was very twisted, so then I got to hospital to get some treatment and medicin.
Only after three days I could manage to close my right eye almost compleatly if I first close my left eye. But I have to close my left eye very hard to be able to even close the right eye. It is my right side of my face that is the sick side.
To sleep I just put the pillow or the quit slightly against the right eye to make it close completely, and then I can sleep.
However, I just wanna thank you for the good video you uploaded with good instructions on how to massage the face!
Btw, you look very good!
You're inspirational! I'm 24 and I had a stroke a couple years back and I'm still working on getting back to symmetry. Your positive attitude is very encouraging.
Agreed!
Thanks for the video. I have been affected by the Bell's palsy from the past one week.

Aonenji Stephen Lupanga kkkmk
Thanks alot, with your video and pamphlet u have helped alot of people.
hey lady i remember you.watching the videos lots of times .glad i found you again.thank you.
These are awesome exercises. I believe you answered a question I posted in another video. Thank you. There is only one problem now. There are too many exercises to remember. I guess the solution is to watch this video together with my daughter so that she practices those exercises along with you. Thanks a million.
Had bells palsy on my right side of my face. Luckily it started slow so i was able get to the doctor before it get even worse. When i started to meds, 80% of the right side of my face was paralyzed. With the help of meds and intense excercise i started to recover in the fifth day of meds.
i chewed gums all the time, at least 6-8 hours of the day. Inflating balloons also helped a lot.
If you suffering from this problem go watch all videos about it and learn all the exercises. You'll be good. Besides chewing gums exercise 5 times a day.
I was recovered 90% in 10 days, 99% in 15 days and fully recovered in 3-4 weeks. Early diagnoses was the number one reason i recovered this fast imho.
Hi your videos have been great, thanks so much! The video about taping the eye closed has made life sooo much better! I learned it from you not my doctor. I would love a copy of these massage techniques, thanks & God bless.

Actually, you should massage the healthy side of your face too, more over, you should start with that!
The reason to this is the "consensualis effect" (sorry i didnt find the right word for it, in my native language it is called "konszenzuális hatás"). Basically it means, that when you massage the healthy side of your body, it affects the other side in the same segment region, due to how the connection of the nervous system is built up.
So when you start with doing massage on the healthy side of your face, it will affect the other side too, by sending neuro signs to you brain from the healthy one, which (as it always does in the human body!) will send neuro sings to the other side. You can imagine it as "indirective nerve massage", or rather "nerve stimulation" if you will.
So to sum up, pay attention to massage your healthy side of well, in fact, start with that! Of course you don't have to pay that big attention to it, but still, give it some of that goody!:) It is important to make the brain to try to contact with the unhealthy/paralyzed muscles, don't let that nerve get abandoned!
Wish all of you a quick and strong recovery!
i don't get this. tried to donate $5 for a document that I could find for free on the internet 5 -10 years ago when I got the me first BP. I'at it for no less then 10 minutes. Trying to t get the document. It on a website. I'm pretty sure that's the intent of the creator.hahahahhahahahah
