Hm, the problem there probably was that Jagged did not realize he had such an immense advantage in economy. If he had known that, he would have easily been able to pump out units that could make a big impact. Turin on the other hand just managed to invest the economy he had into some impactful units, and thus change the game around, without Jagged really being able to catch up.
fantastically executed come back. love to see more of these. too often do games snow ball so hard you usually know who's going to win about half way through. fantastic stand off game play from the uef player
The moment the game devolved into an artillery duel, jagged lost. I don't get why any Cybran would play in that way -- Cybran has the worst shields and worst T3 arty... it's like trying to win a singing contest with a sore throat.
He had naval dominance, land superiority and even air superiority for a while. And what does he choose to do? Fall back to standoff. -_- Even if you want to standoff, make a damn Scathis at least with all that eco. Or maybe some bugs to break through and take out those nuke launchers and/or artillery. I think he just got tired and wanted to play in a more relaxed manner halfway through.

I even managed to hit a T1 bomber on a UEF-ACU with a completely upgraded rocket module (tactic nuke) flying right over my commander. The Commander fortunately stood in the water, did not take any damage. But the bomber was gone anyway. Supreme Commander was way ahead of all other games back then, not just in terms of multi-core CPU utilization.

FAF: Definitive Edition. Lul. Now that would be sweet. Just need to update the models and terrain. Make the campaigns less a horde mode for multiple strategies. Maybe make BO mod official since the FAF team are slowly introducing over the years BO units. I want my ACU to be a god at endgame, not something that sits in a base waiting to get nuked.
I acquired this game back in 07 when it came out. However my cpu couldn’t handle it hardly at all. I now have a beefy cpu!! Gonna pick this masterpiece back up.
Someone can explain to me the difference between all the Supreme Commanders? Why people says Forge Alliance or Forge Alliance Forever is the best also is it an extension or a game alone? I'm so confused
Its the stand alone expansion to supcom that included everything from the original game (except maybe some of the campaign, I forget it was ages ago). SC2 was supposed to be the sequel but it was really dumbed down. That was like a decade ago, the community took over FA and now it's the coolest and still one of the best looking RTS around. Pay attention to the detail of the guns, the way arc and trajectory affect the weapons (like different races artillery have different arc angles and are more effective vs others over hills etc). Position of turrets on units affects how they can direct fire. Even top machines today get mediocre "cpu ratings" in online matches because of the detail of all the calculations.
@@waitwho3074 Community took over development and balancing/bux fixing. And created an online client with a detailed matchmaking and ladder system as well as integrated source of maps and mods. As you can see thousands of people watch the streams.
@@waitwho3074 GPG the creator no longer exists. This game is OLD. It's currently available on steam and to play FAF you need a valid licensed copy of the original game, the client checks. You cannot play FAF on pirated versions of the game. No copyright infringement and no competition since the core games online functionality no longer exists. FAF is just bringing in extra sales of the game on steam for people who want to play and don't have their original CDs.
Mendicant Bias i think he threw it by accident. he was trying to out turtle yellow, which was never gonna happen. if he pushed the naval front and air a bit more instead he wouldve won, his thought process was probably "well, im winning everywhere else, why not get some artillery?" and that killed him. gg.

are there no counters to the satellites? Been forever since I played sup com so don't remember anything about them, but Jagged didn't do anything about them.
He tried strat bombing and artillery, its basically a fancy artillery piece. The only way to defeat them is to blow the building up, that or sufficient shielding.
jagged played with the wrong mindset. no scouting from him even tho he had air superiority! this killed him. if he kept scouting like the yellow guy did, he would've picked off the novas early.

This is why i disagree with the novax buffs. They were a good turtletool with harassmentcapabilities and a damage per mass ratio similar to t3 arty. But now they just dominate the badlands. aspecialy cybrin gett destroyed as they relie on stealth wich getts completely negated aswell as their lack of mobile shields to protect the units on the march.
Not if used correctly, methinks. If JA had send his ASFs in first before the Bombers to distract enemy ASFs and SAMs, the Starts may have had much more success.

Notice at 1:00:17, Jagged upgraded his shields to 99%, so if they blinked off, he could resume the upgrade and instantly recharge them to full?

When jagged had complete control of the water, and before his opponent built Fatboys, jagged could have just sent in some Monkeylords.
Those novaks seem to do too much damage considering you can´t really counter them without a much higher cost investment.
