- Phil Sayer reviews a 1999 model Swedish Sports Coupe - the Volvo C70. He'll be testing the car on the open road for it's performance and handling, as well as seeing how practical it is. This variant of the C70 has a 2.4 litre engine, which produces 140bhp and gives it a 0-60 time of a respectable 8 seconds.
I got 2000 C70 2.3 240hp manual its still sporty by modern standards and looks beautiful.

I've owned my coupe Volvo C70 since 2001 and after 160k miles and going better than ever, albeit with boat-like handling.
Nice car, but it should've been Richard Hammond doing the tape... Had to shut it off prior to the ending... Sorry...

Only one available for sale as coupe in Australia at the moment, and I'm buying it. Don't like the convertibles. Good car, I think the design is still appealing, whatever the 2/3rds recon.

Was this car reviewed prior to 2014? According to the registration it hasn't been taxed or MOT'd since 2008...🤔

That's funny I have a 2001 c70 convertible which has a 163bhp 2.0 turbo 5 pot... unless this engine came out later ??

Convertibles in the early year had a low pressure turbo, coupes had a high pressure turbo

I read volvo marketed the car for post-family people. After kids leave the house. Compared to Peugeot 406 coupe i d say it has more of a quality image, this being untrue factly, but when selling expensive stuff image counts. Xc90, S60, it has more aristocratnvibes, but conceptwise its a Calibra.
