Thanks! This worked for my acer R3-131T! after replacing the broken hinge, touchscreen stopped working. Then I tried unplugging and re-plugging the monitor cable and now it works!
Similar problem here with an Acer CB515-1HT-C82N-US ... similar procedure though the plug is much bigger and the bezel very difficult to remove. Anyway, it was not plugged in properly from the factory (only partway in). Thanks for giving me the courage to try it!

It opens the same way as shown in this video. There is another video with touch screen issue which would help you figure out the best way to open the front cover. Good luck..
Is this the same with a Chromebook R13. The touch screen has gone on mine and I reckon it is a similar problem. Possibly a common one with these laptops being able to fold the screens back 360 degrees. I don't particularly want to fork out loads of money to have it sent off if I can just do this. Anyone got any idea where I might find this wire in and Acer CHromebook R13?
It fell off the bed and the screen popped off but the pug wasnt disconnected what was disconnected or is is the two thing connected to the screen connected it back and still dont work

i used a thin knife to wedge between the crack to open it up

The touchscreen cable was loose, unplugged, so I all I did was plugged it back in.

I would suggest removing the back cover and leaving the chromebook out in sun for a couple of hours.
