Basically they were trying to trade for one of my pets and they wanted fossils too, but the items they were offering weren't really worth it for the pet so I asked them if they were cool with just trading for the fossils and they said yes. So... I removed the pet, and they totally freaked out like "HEY! WHY'D YOU REMOVE IT?" and I was like... _Oh._ So I tried to explain that I thought they just wanted the fossils but they weren't happy with me at all so they cancelled the trade and ran around crying "SCAMMER!" at me. Uuuugh. Knowing that's actually a common scam makes me understand better why they assumed so quickly that I was scamming, but jeez that's embarrassing that I'm now known as a little trickster in their eyes. :(
I’ve fallen for the gem shop scam twice, so someone was saying they had a gem shop, and I had quite a lot of gems back then, so I decided to go check it out. When I bought the items, I had realized that I only had 500 sapphires left when I originally had 1.5k saps. I also fell for another one recently doing the same thing, I had 1.5k saps again and bought something for 500 saps when I had intended to buy it for 500 gems. Now that I’ve learned the lesson twice I think I’m sure enough to not fall for it again lol. Thank you for spreading awareness!

this is from personal experience- but with the prize scam, i have always gotten a prize in return (an example is a jammer said “buy the pet in the shop, get one free” and i did get a pet for free.) however still be cautious of it tho
Another way to safely buy items for over 5k is this; say you are trying to buy teal forest for 25k, in that case you trade the seller 5 items worth 5k for the forest, then the seller puts those 5k items in shop for you to buy them back. You get forest and your 5k items back, and they get their 25k.

They then basically said, "hold on let me remove some pet accessories because there's so many", but when I went back to the first page the good item was gone, so I declined the trade. Luckily, I didn't get scammed, but it's a good reminder to always be cautious and look over the items again so you don't get scammed, especially if there's a lot.
I almost got scammed by flash trading traded an offer, containing some of my best items, for teal forest, they changed it to a paintseed launcher, I got saved by the trade glitching out… I am so lucky

This was a very long time ago, but I remember a very funny scammer on AJ classic. They clearly had no idea what they were doing. It was the scammer and this other jammer they had with them. They were trying to pull a "beta tiara" scam on me - using a store bought one instead. Even though I told them multiple times that's not a beta tiara. I even bought one to wear as evidence, but they still insisted. They told me to trade for the "beta tiara" and then they'd trade me their LPHD to me for it. I also said, that what they wanted from me was not even close to the value of an LPHD, so why the heck would it get me that tiara? Which is worth even more than an LPHD btw. Trade them yourself bro, you seriously don't need me. Obviously, they ignored that too. But that wasn't the funniest part. Looking at the other jammer's username, it was the scammer's with "spare" added to it. Whoops. Then they traded the HD for the "tiara" and accused me of scamming. Bro, you did that completely on your own. I even told you multiple times that the tiara isn't beta and offered proof. XD One of my best memories.

(this one is based off AJPW) A little while ago, someone in Coral Canyons was giving out a free rare pet (which was a lie) I got scammed out of 30 sapphires for a very very odd doodle cringe looking masterpiece, I had to get all my sapphires back, a few people were buying my pet items for 5 saphs, after I got my sapphires all back, I decided to give away a doodle odd masterpiece for free at the Play-As-Your-Pet Party. (The Animal Jam Story came a while ago, maybe a few weeks ago before the November 2023 update came). (The Animal Jam Story would either happen September or October 2023 before I brought the night of the phantoms bundle).

I know that doesn't work for everyone, but it works for me. It does make it hard when I'm playing though, because it does get a touch boring and monotonous playing alone. I'd love to participate more with the community, but I've learned in my earlier years of getting burned on these things to steer clear of engaging with random players. (She forgot the password to her member account, so she needs a reset pass)
I used to be a scammer like forever ago. Me and my ex did this long process where we would bring people to a den for a “party”. Then an extra account would come in and fake a duplication glitch and fake the dupe glitch on back up accounts and then once we got items from others we’d leave and block everyone and trade the items to our mains. We got RICH it was insane!

I was scammed back in 2022 when I was new to the game with the one at 11:01, because I was sort of new to scams and they just took my item. Either they got banned or quit or something, because they have not been online for MONTHS. I don't remember their user, so just try to avoid this scam.

Theres one where people ask you to buy, let's say 3 items in their shop and they'll do 3 sap drops. Make sure the items you buy are priced less than what you'll be getting back if they're just junk, they're some other methods to avoiding this, I'm too tired to think rn goodnight

I remember like a couple years ago (idk how many I forgot :-:) someone (I have no clue what their usernm is) was trading me a rainbow spike for my galaxy wings and added a BUNCH of the jungle gyms but I checked back to the beginning (as one does) and they removed the rainbow spike so I declined
I've done the gem shops, buy one get one free you'll win a prize without scamming I HAD NO IDEA THESE WERE SCAMS!
The only time I trade around pets on expeditions, is for my sister, as she will throw a fit if I don’t give the pet back, she gives it to me for sending out, and then she trades me and I give it back as she doesn’t have member on her temp account. (She forgot the password to her member account, so she needs a reset pass)
I used to be a scammer like forever ago. Me and my ex did this long process where we would bring people to a den for a “party”. Then an extra account would come in and fake a duplication glitch and fake the dupe glitch on back up accounts and then once we got items from others we’d leave and block everyone and trade the items to our mains. We got RICH it was insane!

I was scammed back in 2022 when I was new to the game with the one at 11:01, because I was sort of new to scams and they just took my item. Either they got banned or quit or something, because they have not been online for MONTHS. I don't remember their user, so just try to avoid this scam.

I have seen items for real money on ebay soooo much. I do not understand why they are selling them for money because they are getting the money and also why would you want to buy items in aj for money? It is just a game. ( it is ok to do it once in a while, but only in tje shop in the top right corner of the screen. Also, i might have done some mistakes in this comment so ty for understanding!)

Once I bought off someone when they said prize for purchasing anything from shop I purchased something for 5 or 10 saps and they did give me a prize
One time I was trust trading but I gave them their item back but they said that I didn’t give the item back and there was 4 people there including my friend 😐😐

I was selling "Epic Spiked Collars" in My Shop a few weeks ago, all for 100 sapphires each which i thought was decent since the spiked collars i was selling i saw them being sold for 300-900 or could even go up to 2000 (which was uncommon) sapphires, so i was advertizing my shop and someone goes to my den, i get a buddy request so i accept since im in need of friends 😭 they sent me a few jags saying that everything was overpriced and that i was a scammer and other mean words, i was so confused so i went to reply and ask them what a fair price is but they unadded me before i had the chance, so does anyone know what the Epic Spiked Collars are worth? 😢 i dont wanna be a scammer, i wanna be a fair jammer :,)
My Buy one get one is usually five saps and I don't scam.
Theres one where people ask you to buy, let's say 3 items in their shop and they'll do 3 sap drops.
Make sure the items you buy are priced less than what you'll be getting back if they're just junk, they're some other methods to avoiding this, I'm too tired to think rn goodnight

I was on Animal Jam and appetizing And a fox comes up to me trade me and you know how it pops up and it shows the items that Jammer wants well when I accepted the items weren’t there invisible I added an item and Took it Out to see IF that would fix things but nothing happened so I was going to get some stuffed animals for free since we’re couldn’t do the trade but in Chat jammer said except already! And declined and The thing popped up and showed my items again I checked them on a trade to make sure they were good and Well I don’t want to give too much information but I did get scammed I talk to my buddy about it and they said it could be a hacker 😢 please please tell me if this is new or old scam answer if you read and make a video on this please 😢

I knew this was a thing so when my screen protector on my phone broke, it made me click out of the trade a TON, like it took forever to complete a trade, i was so worried that they were thinking i was doing flash trading but i wasn’t! I got rid of my screen protector and now my phone works fine 😂
