Wow i love your video'ing style, casual, as if talking to a friend. Also this is my first time EVER commenting on a youtube video, so take that as golden. I'm looking to build a pub bar in a very similar style to yours mate, i love it. Where did you get your shed ? its 13x9 according to the video yes ? Also did you have much trouble plaster boarding it out ?
Thanks for the comment and subscribing. Bought mine from local place to me in Essex. Tbf any shed will do. I lined with some off cut chipboard, but mainly chipboard loft boards, cos they fitted in motor. Polystyrene insulation behind that. Not tons, screwed boards up, painted white emulsion! Jobs a good un! Cheers buddy. Ps hope to see you at one of the live coming soon! And yes, I try to talk to youtubers as though they're one of the lads down the pub. Cheers.
@@Life_of_John Thanks John. You've given me lots of inspiration. I was going to buy a log cabin, but now going to save money and get a shed instead. Its amazed me what you got in there whilst still keeping lots of room.
@@danz0l99 Mines sort of a log cabin. Think it's in one of my videos. Sort of a small radius on the external boards. Nothing too fancy though. Think perhaps look at getting one and modding it as required. Good luck.
@@mikeleigh9206 Hi Mike. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe. I'll measure tonight and get back to you. Its a bit tight to be honest. As said on a live week ago, allow for fat person, shelving behind you and don't forget you may fit a beer engine or pump later. They protrude. Cheers.
@@Life_of_John hi John, what did you use to insulate your shed? And do you recommend your method? I've been looking at Celotex but not cheap, which I'm trying to do on a budget.
@@jondi1115 Hi mate. I used old polystyrene sheets I blagged when a bit unit type thing was unpacked at work. Does the job but messy and not great. If I were to do it again I think the rockwall stuff u use for stud work may be better. Just unroll it. Do go mad, don't want it too hot in summer. If you are boarding out perhaps just leave an air gap ? Insulate ceiling only. Up to you really. I used mine in winter with gas heater, ok but I wouldn't sleep down there. Good luck with your build. Don't forget, too much insulation and you'll fry in the summer!
It's getting there. Now dug in the patio slabs on the grass so we have a path. Can use it during the winter months now. Few more bits to finish. Cheers.
I think you really need to line with more boards or something even if you don't insulate. I did mine with offcuts of polystyrene. Apparently a bit of air flow does it good though against mould so you should be ok. Get a heater in there and you'll get all round use of it. Good luck with it. Cheers.
Pretty much the same dimensions as my bar have you managed to get a beer in a box off Bettystoggs a lovely drop of beer see you have the beer clip mate
@@Life_of_John I have my own pub shed love relaxing with a few pints but not the same without your mates over for a chat ...hopefully things will get better soon ... cheers mate 👍 🍺🙏
Thanks for watching mate. Appreciate the comment. Think I bought the nut boards etc from makro. A wholesale place. But think they are also available on amazon plus other wholesale places.
Hi John love your videos, what did you do for insulation/sound proofing? I’m gonna put a 12x6 in my garden, got base sorted just gotta get shed up now. All the best 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi mate. I used some off cuts off polystyrene. Not great but does the job. Warmish with heater on. Maybe rockwall or similar would be better. Don't go mad, too much insulation and you'll have damp ceilings walls etc. Good luck with your build. Please like and subscribe. Cheers.
