    Cheers mate! I’m a retired Canadian sailor living in America at the moment. I myself built a 10‘ x 10‘ man shed/garden pub, and the funny thing is it’s laid out exactly like yours! I love it it’s been great and my friends love it too, keep on keeping on! I recently lost my right leg, and I’m happy to say that I’m able to get in and out of my man cave in a wheelchair and still have friends over! Keep it up!

    Good tips there m8. Mine is up on flagstones , but I have a hedgehog living underneath it, so there are leaves etc, I dont want to disturb the thing. I made the mistake of getting mine right up to the fence and it's too big to move now, it's been up 10 years and it seems ok. Regarding insulation, I'm the same as you I did the ceiling properly but the walls are all double boarded but insulated in parts, I dont think that's such a bad thing as if you over insulate, you can cause the shed to sweat. Mine is more of a little military museum, but I have a bar, fridge and tv. If I had my time over again I would of done it differently, I did get proper electrics put in, and the only power on when I'm not in it is the fridge and through winter a small oil filled radiator on low which helps circulate the air and isnt that expensive to run. All in know is all the gear I have wouldn't be allowed in the house by my wife...cheers 🙂🙂

    • @Life_of_John
      @Life_of_John 3 роки тому +1

      Hi and thanks for the comments. Agree about the insulation. I've not done mine great and think it helps. Think you can over do it. Managed to move mine few years ago, glad I did. A hedge hog lol, not seen one in years bless him. Cheers to you and ya hedgehog! Thanks.

      Patrick's bar is long and narrow so we better for him. My bar is along the back. Gives you nice bit of storage too. Fridges, under counter shelves etc. If my shed wasn't so deep I would of done one against the wall. Really depends on space. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

      Hi mate and welcome. Plenty of shelving, scaffold boards are great. Burn with a cheap plumbers blow torch for an olde worlde look. Obvs source a couple of fridges off Facebook. Couple of pallets for ya bar and your off to a good start. Led lights off amazon. Grab a chair and a beer. Cheers.

      Thinks i spend too much time and money on it tbh, so its a balancing act. I do a bit of work indoors, a bit of work down the shed lol. She loves it though. (Especially now we got her dance vinyl from the loft). Both looking forward to hopefully having friends and family round for drinks and bbq in the summer!
