He co wrote nearly all of their good songs. Izzy was the glue and without him they were not the same. Their sound changed for the worse without Steven Adler too.
GnR did a whole trilogy video series back in the early 90's that was really good. Check out November Rain, Estranged, and then Don't cry. In that order and official videos since that form a mini movie...
Nobody can deny axle singing powers he has a very unique voice that can give you a high growl to this little gem listen to one-in-a-million on the lies lies lies album the first side is pure concert rock and roll and they kill it the second side is all acoustic and it is done brilliantly.
This song was huge in the spring of '89. I was 17 and me and my buddies loaded up a van and left Ohio for Daytona Beach for spring break. This song defined the soundtrack of that trip...good memories. Thanks guys...
Ahhhhh axl rose. Definitely a singer you can break down on a molecular level. There are times where he has been the best singer around. Guns n roses cover of hair of the dog. His voice sounds like it could chew on a bowling ball. And spit out the bones of his enemies!!!!!!!! Ferocious range
The Chris Cornell version(video) of this is very good.. when he start the “ Ive been walking the streets at night” Part it pure Chris putting his touch on it🌞✌🏼
There's a band named Skid Row that should be on your playlist. The song is Monkey business. Give it some ears. It's a headbanger. Plus you'd be the first reactors to do so. You're welcome.
I was waiting for guns and roses song only mannnnnnmmnn so good reaction there are more songs from them like civil war, estranged, u could be mine, it's so easy, coma, nightran, rocket queen and u should do live version from Tokyo and Paris mannn that's fuckin insane
I always thought the final vocal being an inward breath, with no note after, was like he sang his peace, and now he was going to shut up about it, as we men do.
I think you need some Mr brownstone in the mix. Me and use to be good friend who passed right after Appetite for destruction album from car accident RIP practically wore out that cassette tape and every party at that time was playing them good times good memories
Now check out Dead Horse, Rocket Queen, Bad Reputation. That's getting into some of there best music not just the stuff still being played on classic rock radio
Yay, another one of mine won the poll! As others said, watch the official video sometime. I don't know if it's the whistling, or the hip swaying (or both), but it made me fall in love with Axl for a minute +, despite his bad boy reputation 😅. I love hearing his true vocals, he has quite a range and can sing anything.
Axl and company finally decided to slow it down a couple of notches and showcase their talents, and Patience was our reward, the best song they will ever record.
Guns N' Roses were an electric hard rock band in concert, and their 1987 album 'Appetite for destruction' captured their wild side... It came as a surprise that Guns released an EP 'GNR Lies' in 1988... and 'Patience' was 1 (of 4) acoustic country-style ballads. Slash (lead guitar) recalled that it took 1 day to crank out their acoustic guitars and jam in the studio - 4 songs came out of that session, and the EP sold 2 million copies in the US. It showed a different side of Guns... Unfortunately, there was also some controversy when Axl Rose sang the last track 'One in a million' and used racial and sexual inflammatory words on it... Slash (who is half-black) was particularly angry when he heard Axl use the 'n' word... David Geffen (of their label Geffen Records) was furious when he learned about the song (he was a gay man and took it personally)... Axl said he didn't intend to insult anyone, but like a young punk rocker, he didn't like being told what he could not say... He has since distanced himself from that track & never performed it live. In 1993, Axl brought more controversy when he recorded a cover of a Charles Manson song ('Look at your game girl') that was a hidden track on Guns' covers album 'Spaghetti incident' (Slash refused to play on it). Izzy Stradlin (guitar) also took heat for writing the song 'Used to love her' which was a twisted country song about someone who axed his gf and buried her in his backyard...
Best ballad of all time! at least for me. This whole album was amazing. One in a million another great song from it. Wouldn't be appropriate in this day and age.
Hey Asia and BJ. Love your reactions! Love your chemistry! Y’all were an immediate follow for me. Have y’all ever reacted to Phyllis Hyman? Every song is classic and relatable. She is a legend. Can y’all try her “Living All Alone single”? Any song from that album is fire. I think y’all would enjoy Phyllis. Thanks guys.
Asia here's a song you will like Rickie Lee Jones Chuck E's In Love official Video and BJ you will dig this one Billy Paul Me And Mrs Jones both great songs thanks
I hate it when lyric videos get the lyrics wrong and this one does. It's "Sad woman" and "Sad suger" not "Said: woman" and "Said: suger". What the hell is that?
I f****** love you guys excuse my French LOL I'm not sure if you have already listened to Tesla what you give is definitely a bad ass song I think you would enjoy it😉
Thanks for your comment and suggestion my brother! I had to comment on your comment to Asia & BJ because I was blown away when I read it.... I thought I had left that comment. ✌️❤️🙏 My thoughts exactly, I fuking Love these two. They are my fave of only a handful that I follow and they never disappoint. Great suggestion. Peace brother, Jerry in Hollywood 🤘🏼
Not watching the official video with this reaction was a lost opportunity. The video really helps the experience and understanding of the song's deeper meanings.
Patience is such a vibe. Maybe you had to be there, but this song has such a special place in every GNR fan's heart.
It's been my favorite GNR song since I was a young kid.
I'd jam out to this and Meat Loaf Bat Out of Hell.
I was there.
It vibes.
It's still one of my favorites
You don't need to be there to love the song
We rushed to practice whistling the opening theme all the time as kids when this was big. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Glad you enjoyed it
Practice for what?
Izzy Stradlin, rhythm guitarist, wrote this and a bunch of their other songs.
Gn'R just wasn't the same without his input.
He co wrote nearly all of their good songs. Izzy was the glue and without him they were not the same. Their sound changed for the worse without Steven Adler too.
No he didn't write this
The forgotten heart and soul of Guns’n Roses!
@@JayCapone37 yeah, he write Patience, go and search
Watch the video of this if you ever get the chance, it’s pretty good. Love this song! Played it a lot 🎶
GnR did a whole trilogy video series back in the early 90's that was really good. Check out November Rain, Estranged, and then Don't cry. In that order and official videos since that form a mini movie...
This and "Sweet Child Of Mine" are my fave. GNR songs. "November Rain" is up there as well. Thank you for such a great reaction!

80's were the Best times.... Guns & Roses one of my favorite bands. When music was music!

"Used to Love Her" is a interesting song from the same album as Patience
This song is constantly being covered by other musicians and for good reason.
My favorite cover is by Chris Cornell, released posthumously on his birthday July, 20 2020. Beautiful video produced by his kids.
There's a band named Skid Row that should be on your playlist. The song is Monkey business. Give it some ears. It's a headbanger. Plus you'd be the first reactors to do so. You're welcome.
Its weird. I can't even try to remember the first time I heard this. I grew up on this stuff. Good lord I love rock n roll. Lol
One of my favourite GUNS N ROSES songs is you could be mine
I used to lover her is another great one by GNR!
Used to have that as the ringtone for my ex wife….
Love this song ❣️
I first seen Guns n Roses in concert back in 88 love this band.
You couldn't be a real 80s hair metal band without a good power ballad.
But they wernt a hair metal band?? They were hard rock. They hated hair metal bands
Another amazing voice!! Axel had so many ranges, high and low!!’. He’s amazing in concert, sounds the same, at least back in the 80’s
One of my favorite songs of all time, this song, and Album, helped me out back in the 90s, thanks for doing a reaction to it you guys rock!🤙
I was waiting for guns and roses song only mannnnnnmmnn so good reaction there are more songs from them like civil war, estranged, u could be mine, it's so easy, coma, nightran, rocket queen and u should do live version from Tokyo and Paris mannn that's fuckin insane

Check out their song Yesterdays,,,watch videos from 80's though
One of my favorite songs and one of the first I learned to play on guitar!
Such great memories driving to Galveston Island and back, listening to this great song!!
Now check out Dead Horse, Rocket Queen, Bad Reputation. That's getting into some of there best music not just the stuff still being played on classic rock radio
They had another acoustic song you'll probably like called I Used To Love Her.
Yay, another one of mine won the poll! As others said, watch the official video sometime. Great song choice guys, by far my favourite Guns N Roses track. Just brilliant.
Love how a band can show another side to them
My middle child's named Patience.
True GNR fan here. Will forever be!
Always great reaction(s) ! Danke! 🙂
I like the lyrics videos. So many reactors get distracted from “ what’s going on in the video “ and forget about the music and kill the song!
Think I was in my 20's when I heard that song. Gunners ♥ Thank you so much ♥ - brings back memories!
Thanks for the memories. I so love this Guns N' Roses.
You two are so sweet, I love you both, what a lovely couple x
The acoustic side of this album was recorded live.
Asia & BJ, their "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is next for you!! (Bob Dylan cover)
Yes. The live version!
The performance of knocking on heavens door at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert is a really good live gnr performance
Love this ballad.. so cool..lovelovelove ❤️🌸✌🏻
A sweet sultry tune and blew the fans mind when it came out!
This is my ringtone 😅
Civil war by Guns 'N Roses is also 👌🏻
From the same album try " Used to Love Her" and " One in a Million," both amazing songs by GnR.
That's right
Get outta my way
Asia and BJ do NOT listen to One In A Million!! You’re being trolled!
Axl and company finally decided to slow it down a couple of notches and showcase their talents, and Patience was our reward, the best song they will ever record.
my fave GnR song! ♥
You should react to their song Civil War
What other guitarist can have a solo on an acoustic guitar and be just as badass?! Slash is in a class of his own!

These guys always kicked ass no matter what they were playing
He wrote all his songs!!!
one of my favorite GNR songs..so simple
Best ballad of all time! at least for me. This whole album was amazing. One in a million another great song from it. Wouldn't be appropriate in this day and age.
Now you gotta listen to pt2, "Used to love her."
Patience was about the relationship between Axle and his ex wife, Used To Love her was about his dog. Not part 2….
Axl was a very talented singer, writer, but he had to get his head together! I saw them in Miami 1991
New Years Eve!
I got them in the 2020s. Back to back nights in AC. Sept 11th and 12th. Only time I've been.
Official video is the way to go for this song! #GNR 🤙
Acdc rock and roll ain't noise pollution
Oh my goodness yess ,,, great reaction as always
Check out Chris Cornells version
Great choice! For more slower (but still rockin’) GN’R take a listen to “November Rain” or “Don’t Cry”

Great song!!!!
Guns N' Roses - It's So Easy
Gotta check out Chris Cornell cover this song also the video is pretty amazing
I wholeheartedly agree! His kids did a great job on the video. Miss him💔
One of the best songs by G@R!!!
That song i fantastic!
Slash on that acoustic
Axl Rose owned a voice like no other. Best front man of his era.
This always reminds me of a blues spiritual yet, they’re white rockers. Music’s boundaries are transitory.
You should check out One In A Million. Very controversial lyrics back then and probably also today
Now do I Used to Love Her. By them
The video is so good, wish they would have reacted to that
If you haven't done estranged yet I'll definitely recommend doing it next My fav gnr song
I'd recommend the entire video trilogy that goes with that song: November Rain, Estranged, and then Don't cry. In that order...
@@Wrangzilla they done don't cry and november rain already
Fun Fact: This song was recorded in one take.
Queensryche- Silent Lucidity
You're welcome. Keep up the good work for real though!!!
U guys are looking at each other after this one. I get it! Lol……u guys are great! Fun watching u guys personalities and reactions.
What a way to end the 80's
A sweet song
You need to hear Estranged by GnR!

Any man who's ever had a woman to call his own quickly learns he must have patience. Or he won't have her long!
Garden of Eden by Guns N Roses
Love it ✌️❤️💯
the many faces of Axel Rose
You should watch the video so much better and turn it up.
High school grinder for sure
The video is nice.
My favorite rock band could y’all react to you could be mine
Patience and world peace y'all. I love you, in jesus name!
Every GenXer is missing someone when they hear this song 😢
Not being able to see them (Axel) perform in the video, takes away from the song. Axel needs to be getting his groove on. LoL
Thry did this In ome take !
Not watching the official video with this reaction was a lost opportunity. The video really helps the experience and understanding of the song's deeper meanings.
