Just came back from South Beach. Go onto air bnb and get a small condo on or around ocean drive. You can walk to the beach, cafes, entertainment, whatever. Felt very safe here.
Just came back from south beach and had a great time . The service fees are around 20 % . We didn’t tip as service are designed to prevent poor tipping .You can save money and venture off the strip to eat at other restaurants in Miami
Thank you for the great tips! Suggestions on what to do, where to go, and general stuff is on point including addressing the possibly rainy weather. Visiting Miami soon! 😊
Wau great video! Well worth the watch, partially because of the detailed advice and your super nice calm, relaxed, down to earth authentic personality. Keep up the great job!
Thank God for you! I’m going next week, and I want to know what to expect. I’m going for a training but decided to stay a couple of days extra to explore
My hun and I really enjoyed just hanging out in South Beach, sitting in the sand and people watching. Outside of that, we enjoyed our little Havana food tour experience and hanging out at Bayside Marketplace ☺️
Miami Beach is walkable. Get out and enjoy the sunny weather. I know it can be very hot and humid. Man up. If you can't afford to use Uber or not brave enough to take buses in Miami Beach to Miami. But, I suggest carrying water . And an umbrella is nice to have. In case you know it's going to rain. Enjoy the scenery and sounds of Miami Beach and Miami. I know I did.
Hey Curls4real 😊 I recommend taking a ride-share service (uber, uber pool, Lyft, etc). Parking was pretty difficult and expensive, but our uber-pool rides usually came nautically and were pretty inexpensive 👍🏽 hope this helps!!
A question of two. I have never been to Miami or MBeach. Looking to go solo for 4 days maybe 5. Chill out sit on the beach, hit up the coffee shop or two etc. Someone told me to check out Crystal Beach hotel but that seems pretty much north. Would it make sense to stay there and then get an Uber to South Beach or basically just stay in South beach?
I’d say it depends on what other activities you want to do in Miami, Will😊 If the overwhelming majority of the time you want to be on the beach and don’t mind the price tag, I’d pick a hotel that’s as close to the beach 🏖 as possible. If you want to explore other areas or will only spend a day at the beach, I’d just take an Uber in!
@@FrolicAndCourage how busy was the actual beach? I’ve only been to Miami during spring break and am not particularly looking for a crowded beach this time (in July)
Hey Kmizzy! The beach wasn’t very crowded, but then again we went about an hour before sunset so most people were probably getting ready to go out for the night.
Cars are a pain in the ass for drivers and pedestrians and arent necessary in South Beach. Parking yuck. Fk the resort fee its nasty. Lots of casual folks at night too. MB is a nice place though- visit before if its underwater.
Speak up. A service charge and a tip is the same. The tip is for the people that drink to much and it's thier first time in south beach. My bill for lunch for 2 is 70.00. Service charge now 84.00. My server gets some. It's not my job to pay the cook and hostess. I don't give a damn about them and thier family. So why do I have to leave more money pass my 84.00 lunch? I don't care about people who I don't know?
@@FrolicAndCourage it's called the South beach hustle. Also any other state a party of 7 is required to tip 20 percent. Not a party if 1 too 6. I find my self outside of south beach paying cash and leaving out thier 20 percent when it's just me and my wife. They can't do anything about that. Buy I do know if you are on collins or oceandrive 20 percent service charge is mandatory. The other scam they do is price switch from the bill to the menu and rip you off on soda and coffee not cappuccino refills. This dirt bag city also try to charge for water. They will put it in a carafe and tell you later it's not free and they will embrace you and say real loud " oh you mean tap water" like what the he'll if I wanted Evian I know how to ask fora premium water. Oh yeah dirt bag southbeachis the only city in the world that gives you a tiny bit of hallenae sauce for your eggs Benedict and then charges for a tiny bit more. They are with out a doubt the most dishonest service industry people who crap on thier tourism. So sorry . I'm a dolphins fan and I go once a year. It's beautiful but you have to watch these kinds of people.

A rental on Ocean Drive sounds lovely! Thank you for sharing tour experience 😊❤️👍🏽

So glad you had a great time Chris! You can definitely save 💰 going off the strip. Any recommendations to share??

Great tips, thank you! Will go to Miami in a couple of days, so excited! 🤩
That’s so exciting Martina! 😁What are you most looking forward to on your trip?
Great tips!! Being from South Florida we can confirm these tips are on point. We avoid South Beach like the plague.
Thanks for co-signing, Traveling Pisces! You can totally tell there were not a lot of locals on South Beach!
what about mid beach or north beach?
We spent our time on south beach, but I’ve heard north and mid beach are quieter and more family friendly 🙂
I find my self going to Hollywood. But south beach from twilight till midnight is so fun
Agreed, Lucas!
What do you consider the safest areas? Thank you. 💕
I am heading to Miami beach this week.
Have a great trip Jean!
Thanks!

Woohoo! Glad I could help Eva! I hope your training and extra days are filled with fun! What’s the first site you want to visit?
@@FrolicAndCourage i don’t even know where to start! Where do you recommend? I’m taking my husband with me 😅

Thanks for the additional tips, Miguel! And ohh yeah…water is a MUST 💧 Gotta stay hydrated!
What time of the year is most rainy ?
Hey inyoto! I’d say mid May - mid Sept. are the rainiest months. It aligns with hurricane season 💦
Very helpful video 👍🏼👍🏼
Sweet, thanks for watching Punjab!!
Do u recommend getting a car or ubering

Is 33140, 32nd street street, a safe area? Thanks!

The fees are nothing more than a cash grab, no matter how they spin it. Would rather have it included, less agravating. 🤷 Great video
Yeah…it’s really annoying to see one price then have to pay MORE 😑 it is what it is but my hope is to at least give people a heads up!

Are you trying to put people off going to south beach;if you balanced your critic with some positives it would have more credence.
beautifull woman

It seems crazy to have a service charge AND tip on top of already high prices. Insane!

Easy. Don’t come on Memorial Day and Spring Break.
I can only imagine the crowds, wow!
