Both of you and the countless others out there are exactly why Ricky Skaggs & Blake Shelton supported, pushed and convinced Craig that he HAD to record this song to go out mainstream that it would help someone else in their time of grief, too. The other real solid throat punching clincher about this whole thing is that the son he is referring to is actually a boy he and Karen adopted as a wee one.

My son just had his first live gig as a singer/rapper a few weeks before he was killed so music is important to me. He recorded a song, "If Only" among others, for my wife and I and it was a big part of his life. What Craig did was truly a blessing.
Did anyone else notice how the sun slowly rose up over the stage from left to right? Only to finally expose Craig at the very end. I know it wasn't planned, but talk about cinematography and signs from up above. Simply beautiful!

I can remember on the news when his son was missing that first day after tubing in Tennessee and then I found his body the next day. Jerry was only 19 but he made an impact on a lot of people. I got this information from interviews that Craig has done and I just want to say that this is one of the most beautiful songs they could have ever been written for a loved one that you've lost. And I'm told that a couple days ago it went number one on iTunes so kudos to you Craig may God bless you and your family. We love you.

When you open yourself up to another's experience, and culture in life you can understand your fellow man a little better. Less than a year ago I lost my oldest son to another drunk driver! The pain and grief are almost unbearable! The first time I heard this song, it brought me to knees. And I cry everytime I hear it..
