Oh, try opening packages before you leave the store parking lot. Sometimes they have recycling bins out front, either way the packaging can be properly disposed of before you put it away.
Lady Bugout.... ok... I've watched a bunch of your videos and still have not seen your 'toilet'. I think in the "how I make my bed" you pulled out from under something, a medium small rectangle or square plastic (?) type of pot that you said was you toilet....and YOU WOULD SHOW LATER. Well.. I can't find your explanation.... so please tell me what that is, how you use it, etc. Thx! Judy Utah
Ok. I’ll get into more detail about it in a future video. But, it is a compost bin from IKEA. I use it because it fit under the bench. Definitely not for everyone as it is quite small but it works for me perfectly. I have a wide mouth plastic jug for #1

I loved the hacks!! I think you are so awesome and inspiring...I'm purchasing things over time to create my travel van with. I've been looking all over for a van like yours because I like the size and shape of it...someday! Thanks for sharing!
Great ideas - I especially like the idea with rolling up the puzzle - we do puzzles all the time. Also like cutting up trash to reduce space - I’m using that next time.
Really enjoying your videos. Perhaps I missed it, but I’d love to see an intro video in which we learn more about your story and why you have the Ladybug van.
Great ideas. I use pillow cases too. I recycle my old sheets and clothes that way for my dog's bed. I've also seen some people do the recycling cut up then push into a plastic bottle and call them Ecobricks. I believe there is a place you can send-in Ecobricks and they actually repurposes them. Your videos are awesome, I am in the middle of a van build and will be going on a 2 week solo trip soon....I've used so many of your suggestions! Your a true minimalist! Thank you!
What I do is fill up the square plastic container with the other garbage until the container is full, then put the plastic container into the plastic bag. That way there's no need to cut the hard plastic container and the paper trash can just be wadded and stuffed into the container. So you have nothing left but the plastic container to go into the bag.
Love the Norwex towel idea! I've never heard of those. I was at Cabelas today and almost bought a camping towel. A regular towel takes up too much space and too long to dry. Thanks!
Fantastic space saving hack ideas! There’s those boots again🤣 I ordered a pair last night, I’m so excited to get them, I hope I ordered the right size🤦🏼♀️
Yes they are good material. I’m not planning to buy anything just use what I have and save to buy the good quality one time item. is the best way to go. Thanks
Though cutting trash with shears does lessen the Bag volume, many items may be crushed by a shoed foot.Thick Plastic Drink Bottles such as V8, Gatorade, Milk and the Ocean Spray Cranberry Bottles and various cans greatly lessen ones trash volume and emptying frequency. I love all your ideas! Now why didn't I ever think of cutting up the trash?!? I know some people use a 5 gallon bucket with gamma lid for "smelly" things when they don't have access to a dumpster for a few days. I was going to try that in a 2 gallon size, but even that will take up too much space I feel in my little Kia Soul. I planned on getting a couple cute pillow covers for a jacket & blanket perhaps. Love your "blanket pillow"! I have microfiber towels on my list. I love the packaged quinoa, etc. idea. I have to say I absolutely love the laundry strips most of all. I didn't even know such a thing existed!! Thank you so very much for sharing all your great finds. Love your videos.
Okay, you're creative and seem to naturally REPURPOSE items; Just what is needed for van living! Boxes, glass jars and steel cans can all be recycled. What do you do with the empty packets, plastic containers, and plastic bags when it’s time to discard them, since there’s NO “away” in the phrase “throw them away”? Easy solution. Just don’t buy them in the first place.
