Paithalmala Trek - Kannur | Offbeat Kerala | Hidden gem of South India | Must visit places in Kerala

Welcome to my channel.
Today is our Day 2 in Kannur, a hidden gem of Kerala and South India. It is a very beautiful places which offers more than just the beaches. It is also famous for mesmerizing views of the western ghats.
Paithalmala is located is one such hill. It is located 65 kms away from Kannur city in Pottenplave Village. It is a 25 kms trek upto the grasslands. You can also trek further till the last point from you can see the mighty western ghats as well as the Kannur Valley. The views are breathtaking and cannot be explained in words. It is a sight to behold.
There is Ezharakund waterfalls just 3 kms before you reach Paithalmala. It is also a very beautiful place to explore.
We then spent our evening watching sunset from Kannur light house.It was one of the most beautiful sunsets we have witnessed. There is a Sea pathway next to the lighthouse, where you stroll along the shore and admire the magnificent Arabian Sea.
