if they dont go together its because your in a warm room. the wood swells and you need to be in a cooler room.

Yeah, this is one where the solution on screen is very difficult. Screens don’t show the nuance of how each piece is _effected_ by another. The “tip,” as you say, looks different to different people, so ultimately I can’t endorse this method. But congratulations for doing it!

It takes some dexterity. also it may depend on the brand you have. if it is made by another company it may work a little differently.
