Yeah, this is one where the solution on screen is very difficult. Screens don’t show the nuance of how each piece is _effected_ by another. The “tip,” as you say, looks different to different people, so ultimately I can’t endorse this method. But congratulations for doing it!
I have seen many videos on how to solve this puzzle and wasn't able to until I saw this video.thank you for the explanation.

if they dont go together its because your in a warm room. the wood swells and you need to be in a cooler room.

Instructions unclear, ended up throwing them at the wall and them falling into place perfectly.

I can’t even disassemble it
I can't either, it is stiff, the pieces don't move around

It takes some dexterity. also it may depend on the brand you have. if it is made by another company it may work a little differently.

Mine is super super tight
Depending on the company that makes it they will have different restrictions.
also could be the the humidity levels that it is in.
