I am very simple italian guy and i think that these songs of al bowlly are incredible. For me AL Bowlly was a Legend of music 30s and now i love the romantic music.THANK YOU AL BOWLLY "LEGEND OF MUSIC 30s" I BE REMEMBERING YOU, WHAT I ELSE DO MIDNIGHT WITH STARS AND YOU🎶🎶🎶
Ravishing selection. Al gave me a wonderful evening listening to his stellar voice and the great orchestras accompanying him. What sounds, what words, what a world he evokes...
Simply adorable music and my, oh my........what a voice. I'm presently reading a book by Malcolm James, 'Born of the Desert'. It's about the time that the author spent during ww2 as a medical doctor for the S.A.S. in Africa. Brilliant book and oozing with feeling believe it or not. Granted, it's about the campaigns that he was on during 1940/42. and the characters he served alongside. However, on their down time, the soldiers sat around their camp fires in the desert and entertained one another by singing the songs of the day. There was many a song title mentioned in his book so I simply had to put the book aside whilst I came on to YT to hear the songs that he mentioned the soldiers singing with passion, depth and longing. I can now envisage those powerfully build professional killers singing these songs. The one that made my heart skip a beat was "Guilty" which I first heard in an Agatha Christie/Miss Jane Marple, ITV production. It was some years back but the song captured my heart. Thank you so very much for sharing this delightful album with me today. It has taken me to places that are far off and also near at heart. Thank you for this heavenly journey. I could slip back in time, don a nurses uniform, see to the needs of the injured soldiers and in my down time, slip into the strong arms of a handsome, tanned, muscular Officer from the British Army. Time would stand still whilst my heart skipped many a beat. Such joy!
Это безоговорочно прекрасный певец и музыканты.Многие забывают о скрытых волшебниках-Композиторах!Эти произведения безсмертны!!!С предыханием переносишься в те времена!
This needs more likes, all songs in this always my favourites, very hard to find all of them together in one video. I very appreciate it, thank you for upload this. Love you 😘💞💞💞
Al Bowlly is always my favorite singers of all times. Every songs with his voice are just too good, too sound and sensible. Each song when I hear of him, I can feel all emotions that he put in it: love, heartbreak, sad or even a lil funny humor. Very interesting!
Here's my list of my personal favorite bands he recorded with: 1. Geraldo & His Orchestra 2. Arthur Briggs Savoy Synchop's Orchestra 3. Monia Liter 4. Ray Noble 5. Fred Bird / Heinz Lewy 6. George Scott-Wood 7. John Abirani's Six 8. Lew Stone & His Band 9. Fred Elizalde & his Music 10. and the various Hawaiian bands he recorded with under the direction of Len Fillis.
Adverts that kick in in the middle of songs? Unforgivable. Yes, I could pay UA-cam £12 a month, but I don't have it to spare. My internet savvy stepson tells me that when uploading music there's a button to press so that the ads wait for the spaces in between songs.

Al Bowlly actually plays a brief guitar solo in the introduction of that song.
