Just bought one with gold humbucker covers, such a beautiful guitar. It’s currently on its way through mail. I’ve watched your video a handful of times just for eager to shred with her
As soon as you get it, get rid of the covered pickups. They look horrific on Gibsons. They ABSOLUTELY do not belong on a Jackson. Like fake boobies on a boy.
If you get one of these, get a 5 way switch and to do coil split in the extra positions and flip the neck pickup upside down! You won't regret it with being able to get some good strat-style cleans after in the added pickup switch positions!
@@brandonharris9160 well every jackson I have owned or played was great so I have never had any issues with them. I am sure they have some that have had issues but I have not run into that with the ones I have owned or played.
I picked up an SL4X in specific ocean a month or so ago and absolutely love it. It is definitely at the top of my list of favorite guitars. I really don't know how I got along without one as long as I did or why!
I have this guitar, the frets have worn out after a couple of years. Also had to change the trem saddles, og were terribly weak. It's a great guitar to upgrade but I'm not one of those so I'm gonna sell mine and buy something new.
Has a Jeff Hanneman clone vibe the gold hardware is fkn' sick. I'd keep the DD HB103s compared to TB6s very close wicked pup! ⚡ I'd F1 the board dark as possible. Your demo's kick ass always!! 😎
I have this guitar in silver burst. It plays and feels great but Ill be putting better pickups in it. Maybe some Bare Knuckles. My '89 Mesa 50 Caliber+ will literally smoke!
Mine had several QC issues; *Fret sprout (crappy fretwork) *Wonky Floyd Rose recess rout *Base plate on Floyd Rose Special bent *Scratches from buffer during finishing (I have the gloss black).
That's sad because my Pro RR3 came out flawless (and even in tune), despite being made in the same Indonesian factory I believe. I guess it's either luck of the draw or difference in tolerances for Pro vs. the X-series.
@@anarki_in5680 what's weird lately is, X Series is almost similar price as the Pro Series. I've seen prices on both, and there not far off from price. i think Jackson or whoever is in charge of these ranges needs to get there priorities together. i have an X Series Kelly, and i paid 699 for mine originally, but they quickly jumped up to 899 and 999. a few Pro series i looked at, there's only a 120 difference between them. i like the guitar, but if im being honest, these X Series aren't worth 900, there more like a 500 dollar guitar. there certainly better than the JS Series, but like the JS Series the one thing that holds the X Series back is the trem system and that nut. making it gold doesn't automatically say this is good, but i like how some companies try some slick shit like this, and they get away with it. mine doesn't have this gold, but you can tell they made this gold to say, this is why this guitar cost what it does. i know people give Gibson a hard time sometimes, but the one thing we do know about Gibson, that would never fly. my only issue with Gibson is, there quality control can be better, but they been killing it lately with Epiphone. i just picked up the Epiphone Les Paul Special in TV Yellow back in January, and it's been good. one of the best Epiphones i played in a long time, the only thing i did with it was, i bought the Gibson version pickups and popped those P90's in the Epiphone and off she went lol. i don't hate Jackson, but no matter the company it doesn't pay to kiss ass or be a brand snob, we're just customers at the end of the day.
@@Jeymez KVXMG, RRX24(M) and a few other models are still competitive with what ESP LTD’s 400 models offer in the X-series, and I’ve seen people satisfied with what they got on Facebook groups and so forth. It’s a lot of the new crackle models that have Jackson pickups and not brand-name ones which along with the FR special make for pretty mediocre specs for $800-900.
Bear in mind it will need bridge/locking nut replaced few months after purchase. FR special is terrible. I mean ZnAl nut is like... it develops grooves from s trings very quickly. And it goes out of tune like crazy. It's great guitar for upgrades bc of N-T-B construction.
I bought a $400 Jackson guitar a year ago, but the Jackson humbuckers are insufficient for death metal impulse responses-I bought a used Jackson Warrior with those Designed humbuckers and they didn't work at all. I'll have to change the Jackson hums with a Seymour Duncan for my death metal album.
Would have instantly bought it if they didnt put Indian Laurel fretboard, it ruin the whole looks If they put an ebony board, that would have looked so damn much better. ( please people who will argue "uhhh ebony is expensive", no, if Harley Benton can put Ebony fingerboard on their 200€ guitar, there is litteraly no reason for Jackson to not do it too beside just being greedy and wanting to save a few buck on production cost )

The gold hardware off satin black is sick ..
I'd darken the board & all leave the HB103s.

Dagan must be a big dude, because he makes all these guitars look really small.
They are small
nah jackson dinkys are just tiny
pretty sure in a vid he said he was like 6'5
I found an all black SLX at a pawn shop in just about mint condition and paid $37.88 after a trade. Pretty happy with that deal!
Jackson has always made some great guitars!
Theyre just superstrat inspired shredders. I just ordered a trans black lefty soloist x series.
Wrong. After 3008-2009 they have decreased quality significantly

I love Jackson's on my third one, I did have a USA RR1 Lightning which I sold 11 years ago and still regret now.
I like how they're doing the x series RN i own the KVXMG n it's soo solid feeling and the laural fretboard looks like ya sliced a 🌳 it's rad!
I just noticed it all changed after this comment 😆 they've got a New line up and my slime green is now a collection
Would you recommend swaping the pickups or are they all right? I'm seriously thinking in getting this guitar!
I'd change those pickups but looks like a great guitar!
Bro Symphony of Destruction by Megadeath would sound sick on that thing

Yep, experienced the same with a satin black JS32 Dinky.

Halloo
What is up with the epidemic of gold hardware? It looks like the guitars the balding middle aged frontman in a cheesy cover band would play.
Nobody wants to hear clean to tones on a Jackson.
