I've been coming back here for a decade.
I'm glad you find the video helpful. If you are interested in meditation, find a zen center near you. Most important is returning to your true self and using that to help others.
What a lovely gift. I can be with you every morning, right here in my home, sharing sacred space & sound, Deep gratitude for your gift & our spectacular moment (s).
You have a lovely voice and your chanting has touched my heart.

Thank you for such a beautiful chant. I play this Bell Chant every morning as I stir my porridge. My head is empty of thoughts and I just listen. It's as nourishing as the porridge.

Hi Jason, I just listened to this. It's beautiful. Chanting is what I miss of the KUSZ. I've decided to add this to my home practice. Thanks for the inspiration! Betty (I practiced at PZC awhile ago)

Most beautiful chanting!! Thank you. It transcends us to a higher realm. Would be wonderful to see the text (preferably in English) so we know what is being chanted. Namaste.
@mesodma I just put the link to the translation in PDF version. Check it out in the video info
in this world of ilusion, this chant make me fell in buddha land
In this world of evil this mantram, kepp me from the litle things of this world
In this world of war and anger, this mantra is the voices of the light beens of other realms
In this pure land that we create in the present all God and the angels smile of grace to see beens like you chanting from the heart of love.
In this pure land that we create in the present, good and evil vanish in the moment that you see the face of the buddha that is in your heart
In this pure land that we create in the present, the universal Dharma gate, is open when we sit to meditate.
In my heart it is gracefull becose a greate been open the gate for the sentient beens.

Ricardo Caceres neither good nor evil exists. Dualism creates both.
We are working on it!
Well done. I listen every morning. Is there a decent translation available?
마하반야바라밀 Great Prajna Paramita
@deanne609 Many of the bells come from Korea, though this one has "San Francisco" written on it!
@MrBachRules1685 You are welcome!
Is it possible to get a copy of the Evening Bell Gatha, in Korean?
Love it, _/I\_
You are very welcome! _/l\_
Can someone explain for me what purpose this type of chanting has?
The chanting meditation is no different from sitting meditation. It means to perceive our true self and help this world. Just the technique is different.
Who is chanting ? Are you chanting or a being who is being chanted ?😊 whichever it is beautiful !
a very smart person. I chant the Lotus Sutra Hokkeko with Taisekiji. If people were more accepting of priest applications from outside Japan you'd be right in there. the laity is actually less accepting, they still mostly adhere to superficial appearance such as race, in order to feel 'authentic'. (yikes!).
Aum.Ha!
Thank you! What is the name of this chant?
We call it the morning bell chant. It is based off of the Avatamsaka Sutra.
You are welcome..... keep doing!! _/l\_
In what tradition is this chanting? Japanese, Chinese, Korean? What school?
The school is the Kwan Um School of Zen. kwanumzen.org

It is a bad idea to comment in this cyber space space isn't a good idea and I am no longer commenting
Thank you for the comment!
Why do men invent vain ways of reaching God when God came down and clearly showed the way? Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you will receive the Holy Ghost!
+Tiny777 There are many different fingers pointing to the moon. If you attach to the finger you are already in hell. Understanding cannot help you. It's like understanding what a banana is but you haven't tasted it. So, WHO is Jesus Christ? If you open your mouth, you are in hell. If you close your mouth you are living in sin. What can you do?
i don't understand how this is "vain". i would like to understand, tho. peace and love.
Buddhism isn't trying to reach god. It isn't about god.
