These kinds of trails are why I still ride 740mm bars. All of my trails are tight, but nowhere near the exposure. Traction on slickrock is mind bending. The most frustrating thing about being an Easterner on these desert trails is finding the cairns or the direction of the painted guides. Gotta keep the momentum going and it is hard to do when you don't have a local rider tow you in. I constantly got off line or had to stop and double back when I rode alone. Nice ride and great to see how difficult these trails can be when everything is foreign compared to the loamy east coast terrain.
@@jctrails Unless there is a fine coating of sand on off camber slabs. Slickrock trail in Moab has so many sand traps and the bike traffic drags the sand onto the slickrock, so it can get sketchy.
Nope, nope nope! I admit it, I'm too old for those first sections. 40 years ago, yeup! 30 years ago, probably. 20 years ago, eh - maybe Awesome trail though, with some epic views. Looks like a lot of fun for you guys, nice!
@@jctrails Haha, I KNEW you where going to say that! Retirement is coming, and I'm coming off an injury from early February (still in therapy). Gotta save what's left of my body so that my wife and I can enjoy some casual riding, hiking and backpacking.
Me and the Boston boys all heading out in Sept. Buncha HP and Lynn Woods folks.....been there, never ridden there!! Thanks for the awesome vids!!!
you know it's a good trail when watching it back gives you the sweaty palms!
Man I’m ready to go on another trip. What’s the next destination?
@@jctrails Quebec?
Great quality of your video
The view at 3:28 is spectacular.
That trail looks gnar. Good stuff man.
Fun trail to ride! Need to get back to get it clean.
Darn good riding. Def did not look easy. I’m sure the elevation compared to the East is different breathing

🤘
That’s awesome! Little sketchy in places but awesome.
Such a cool place to ride!!! Views are epic!

It’s tough for me to trust the rock, but your right unlimited grip.

I miss Sedona for sure. My desert blood is still too thin for the MA weather and I'm gnawing to get a good ride in.
I hear ya! We got lucky with some great riding weather out there.
@@jctrails This is the best time to be there. Soon it will be so hot you need to hit the trails by 7AM.
Cool riding dude keep it up from uk
Will do 🤘

Do you agree with BKXC - is Hangover one of the best rides in the world? Thanks for the great video!
It’s a great trail with challenging terrain and epic views, but I prefer high speed trails.
How are you liking the S4 vs the S3 in the tighter more technical bits?
I enjoyed the extra room on steep rolls, but it is a little more difficult to maneuver the tight bits.
Hey JC, I have two questions for you;
Boeing or airbus?
Yt izzo, Epic evo or stumpjumper? 4.5k limited budget and to ride on Florida
Ok ok, Airbus baby and Epic Evo for sure. You will appreciate the light weight and efficiency on those FL trails.
@@jctrails thanks a lot JC!!!
What bike are you riding? Looks like a Stumpjumper but not sure.
Edit: Heard you confirm it's a Stumpjumper.
Yup stumpy Evo S4
@@jctrails thats cool man. Stumpy EVO looked like it handled ok.
Really bummed I have this bike and Specialized had to warranty the frame and sent me a color I absolutely don’t want!
That stinks! What color did you get?
@@jctrails satin red onyx/black nothing compared to the sand color. Going up for sale 😢.
