Part of the problem is, homelessness isn’t living in the community together! Homelessness is opting out of the community to enjoy the surrounding areas for free as you please while making the people who are part of the community work and pay taxes for it.
Nothing is free. And living homeless isn't carefree either. The whole earth is our home. Just greedy people not sharing space. You take nothing with you. So why cling to nothingness.?

Our current governor and Honolulu mayor are not doing their jobs on this one. There was much I didn’t like about Ige and Caldwell but one thing they did right and worked together on was the homeless problem. They would sweep a park and could tell the people here is the address for a clean place to stay and start rebuilding your life. I have not seen a sweep since the current two clowns got in. The homeless population was going down for about four years if I remember right. Now with these two in office it’s skyrocketing again.
Better to lock them up and put them into a bootcamp labor program where they can clean the area and make some money for food only, they should also drug test them randomly and if caught they get solitary confinement for 3 weeks.

O'ahu is much smaller and has an insane amount of homeless addicts for it's small size and small population. They are literally camped out everywhere. Every beach, all over the city, it's really bad in its own way. And remember it's the most isolated land mass in the world, people are literally stuck on that island, cannot afford to leave, fall into homelessness, addiction and despair. Add to that so many of the Natives and the Samoans have drug addictions as well, live in tents on family property, it's a vicious cycle on the islands.
@@mstyles2667 The problem is not the homeless and definitely not the natives lol. Its greed and self serving attitudes that are ruining paradise. I was homeless for 7 years , and the problem is psychiatric. Most of the homeless are mentally unstable. The other part are either alcoholics or chronic drug addicts. The people that are complaining are wasting energy . It takes less energy to help and clean up or give supplies to clean up. The situation is the lack of faith in God on both sides.
