    Great content 👍🏼 after the voltage measuring I would measure resistance on that line because a shorted cap or something else could pull down the line to ground too. I‘m happy to see more from you😁

    I followed your advice. Found a perfect patient with similar problem. Bit when I plug the magsafe with meter it turns only on on one of 4 ports and it's stuck on 5v. I could find 3.3v delivered the chip. Could that be still the same problem or should I look somewhere else?

    My MBP a1706 died,m sent for repair at someone who does board repair.. apparently it’s shorted through the cpu.. I refuse to believe it.

    I have a similar problem 20v and 0 ampere on the tester and I miss the PPBUS_G3H 12v, I have PPDCIN_G3H 20v before the isl9239 and AUX_DET 5v, PP3V3_G3H3 always before the isl9239 can you help me please

      I will do a free diagnostic first and let you know. Average $200-$300 CAD for board repair on this model.

    Why didnt you check for short on PPBUS_G3H? How you pinpointed U7000 was pure luck. There could be short on PPBUS_G3H anywhere on the board... well, that is a little harder to solve. If you charge people money for these repairs, you should replace the chip... not reball it. I would guess just heating up the chip solved the issue, not reballing... and it might fail again.
