The rhythm section is always on point.
Seems like asking him to switch might have lit Nick’s fuse a little bit.
In all seriousness, Josh, Addison and Nick could make some $$ as a rhythm section in a studio backing up some big names. Really, they're just always locked in to each other. The poor dude from Bilt looked lost trying to play along, but these guys are just tight as hell together.
I’ve loved my Zaftig so much, hands down the best guitar I’ve ever played. The order process was easy and the guys (and girls) there were so incredibly kind and helpful. Recommend them without any reservation
Bilt guitars rule. I’m going to have to follow them now and watch for those B-Stock deals. Also, why doesn’t Josh get enough praise for being a killer guitarist. Man, that sounded great.
Liked everything about this episode. The jams and philosophical log story were extra cool. Nick's kick drum also look like the Bilt guitar. Keep rocking JHS Show rules and is making our world a better/happier place.

I already had two or three Bilt guitars I was fantasizing about ordering. Now I have to add the Monster and Josh' Volare. That pickup combo/wiring is awesome.
There was a minute of dead air at beginning, but there was no wasted time in this vid. I needed that minute to prepare for the shear awesomeness!! 👍👍

The 80s rubber grip volume and tone knobs on the Monster made my day. Still have a guitar with those on them. Wish they still made them.

The jams are amazing , the raw overdrive on the Bilt amp sounds fabulous and owning a Bilt guitar is now on my bucket list.

Great interview. Tim or Brandon replaced a toggle switch on my Fender Strat Ultra waaaaaay back when they were the Lutherie Shop. Worked great up until i started modding my guitars. I vote for effect modules that can be installed on guitars.

Bilt’s look reminds me a lot of Cave and Canary guitars, but I’m pretty sure Bilt came first. Either way, love the sound and vibe of both

Wow those are really nice guitars. Definitely something to save up for to make your dream guitar. Maybe an option to put your favorite JHS circuits inside? That would be cool.
Oh man I did something similar and it took me forever to get it working. A customer wanted two effects, one running on 12, one running on 9 volts. Made a pedal, got everything working in the end. But damn it was so much work.
The hollow body reminds me of a Languedoc guitar, looks great.

The headstocks are my favourite of all brand’s.
My favorite pens are blue ones from Subah Bookstore. They write just fine. They're blue and write words.
Is the baffle cutout for the Bilt amplifier the same shape as the lower bout of the Relevator. When Josh was holding his new guitar I could swear it is close to lining up 37:21
I would love to see JHS create an open standard based on that effect board in Josh's built. There are a ton of players out here that would mod their guitars to be able to install an onboard effect or two. I would love to have a treble booster or fuzz in my strat. Use something like what EMG uses for their solderless pickup system to connect the I/O of each effect board. SMT parts can fit into a tiny space!
I remember messaging Bilt about Joshs white and red guitar and was met with silence. Now I understand why LOL. It has pedals in it. Wow. Fantastic work of art. I wouldn’t wish building something like that on my worst enemy. So when I get a built it will just be a simple guitar
That’s a separate guitar. So the one he plays all the time with all the pickups has no pedals in it. It’s the other one with 2 humbuckers that does. I’ve seen that on the show once in the video they mentioned.
You're confused, Luis. Josh has multiple red & white offsets from Bilt. The one you see 99% of the time doesn't have effects in it. It's just a guitar.
Afaik, the only vid that the effect guitar is in is the vid ABOUT THAT GUITAR. You need to go watch that one. It's the only vid other than this one that the effect guitar is used.
They're east to tell apart. The effect guitar has multiple mini humbuckers. The regular guitar has mini hums, a lipstick pickup, a single coil, and something else. Wayyyy different even on the outside. He shows them both in this vid as a matter of fact. Around 21 minutes.

I built in a distortion pedal and a chorus pedal in my old P-bass back in ’98.
Bass itself was too crappy to keep on using though, but I love the idea of having some effects closer at hand 👍

For years, I'd always wanted a tele. A while ago, I finally got one, and it's been everything I've wanted it to be and more. However, while I adore my telecaster, I still want to see my ideal, maximized tele come to life. And for me, I've found that bilt is more than likely gonna be the ones to do it when that happens. I've had the specs in my head pretty in depth for years now, and I've even gone on their builder and configured it already to see what the budget would look like and what other features might interest me.
Basically, I want a telecaster deluxe with a paf style humbucker in the neck and a slimmer neck with a more modern, hopefully compound radius, and likely even stainless steel frets if I can get them. Top loading, six saddle bridge, and it's gotta be a gloss shell pink with a black pickguard. I've looked all over, and bilt offers such a unique take on things and would let me get that configuration
I believe that is all possible by ordering custom parts through Warmoth if you feel up to doing the assembly yourself... Regardless, sounds like an absolutely killer guitar honestly. I'd play it!
@@mailliw2698 that's the thing, I don't have any experience putting those things together, and I'd much rather trust career guitar builders to make it and know it's right than do it myself and get a mediocre instrument with high quality parts. But I'm glad someone else thinks it's a good idea for an instrument too! For me, it'd be the ultimate studio machine

@@greyklopstock7155 Yeah that's understandable. I'm sure you could probably do it, but it is a lot to risk for the money. I recently did a warmoth Jazzmaster build that worked out great, but I have been building guitars as a hobby for a few years now so I had the confidence that I wouldn't completely screw it up (completely being a key word here...)

I would never have thought I would want an active guitar, but one of my rules for myself is that I never play with pedal knobs on stage, so i,would pay good money if I could have like a bucket brigade delay where I could play with the time on the guitar face. Or have like the 3 series reverb and play with the reverb time. Or like a muff style fuzz where I could play with the tone? These are just the things that immediately come to mind at 5:30am

When I picture a diagonal neck I think of a neck, pickups and bridge that aren’t symmetrically down the middle of the guitar body. It is ergonomically off axis for the player who loves playing guitar sitting down. They love the way a certain guitar rests between their lap and shoulder. However when playing they have to bend their wrist uncomfortably to play certain parts of the neck. Personally I could see a Relevator with the neck angled towards the upper horn could be oddly comfortable.

If any of you have a EHX Canyon reverb/delay you can simulate the sounds during the jam starting at 32:42 by turning the control knobs. Yes, you have to get down on the floor.

I have a similar memory of rolling out of a moving car with my dad. He started driving out of a parking lot & he looked at me leaning on the door & no sooner did he tell me that I know that door doesn’t always latch right did it fly open & I rolled out of his Monte Carlo.

I was looking at the shop piece guitar on there websight. If you point The headstock toward the floor the paint makes the headstock look like a lady's foot in a black shoe. Now that ive seen it all the natural headstocks with the painted bottom do. A glass slipper so to speak. BILT- your glass slipper.

Haven't had many pens, but it's my LAMY Vista with the default medium nib. I should definitely get some better paper for it though lol.
