So my wife and I are moving to Croatia to live for a year while I work at the Smithsonian remotely. Your video REALLY helped us decide. I saw you just passed the 1k threshold on subs. You got one more from me. Thanks for this video and I really hope your channel grows. You have some great contwnt. After 1k, it starts to grow exponentially. =)

Actually, Pula is not a nearby city to Split, Dubrovnik is much much closer and you can get to most cities by bus in Croatia and even by train. Don't spend your money on rent a car.

Also, kava sa šlagom is just coffee with whipped cream 😊

Exactly. I was gonna say the same thing. Foreigners need to learn to integrate a little bit more by using public transportation. I recently took the public bus from Split to Trogir, and it was mostly locals on the bus , not that many tourists or foreigners.

5:30 Pula is something as 500 km from Split, Zagreb is 400 km.

Hello, my advice is where do people that want to retire go on this area? I will be moving there soon because I want to retire there. It will get you hits.

You have some really good information, but please increase the audio quality by getting a proper microphone, i almost clicked away from the video because of the sound quality.
    Otherwise great video!

Locals shop at fresh fruit and vegetable markets which are cheaper, and they buy less expensive items than foreigners do at regular super markets, and they don't eat out at restaurants.

I quit after 4 minutes because such a fast flow of words is stressful... Please relax and don't forget to breathe sometimes ;-)

Haha you know you can adjust the speed of any YT video, right? We all have different paces of speaking and listening, nothing wrong with that. There’s a lot of useful info in this one so it might be worth giving it another try at .5x 😉
